So far so good! I came in today to get my camera fixed and the gentleman who helped me out was…read moreextremely knowledgeable about cameras and more specifically my camera. Shoutout to Sergio and a few other friends on Instagram who suggested this spot as it is pretty much the only place that fixes cameras in Miami -- crazy I know! The man helping me was honest and gave me realistic expectations on how much it'll cost to fix and the timeframe. Additionally, he gave me great advice and best practices and how I should use my cameras with more causation. I'm hopeful that he'll be able to fix my camera without breaking the bank! The spot itself is very vintage like and outdated but kind of nostalgic and exactly what you'd imagine a spot that fixes cameras to look like. There was plenty of parking outside and the overall experience is pretty smooth. Crossing my fingers they work their magic and fix my camera soon!

Every step of the way with these people was an awful experience. Their website shows that they…read moreclose at 6pm, so it was odd that when I got there at 5:20pm, they were fully closed and no one answered their phone. Fine, whatever, they have a dropbox outside and I left my roll there and called back the next morning to confirm. I was surprised when they then tried to charge me an additional $2.50 for the privilege of having my scans emailed to me. I asked if I could just have them put on a USB drive when I picked up my film and they said no and that there was no other way for me to receive the scans. Essentially they were forcing me to pay an additional $2.50 than was listed. As this absurd charge for emailing scans is not listed on their website or order form, so I had no way of knowing that they would charge me that when I dropped off my film. After some back and forth with the person who answered the phone she reluctantly agreed to waive the email charge and noted that "no one else has tried to fight it"--good for me, I guess, for being the first customer to call out non-sense charges that were never agreed to. When I called back a day later to confirm when it would be ready, Randy picked up the phone and, like many other reviewers have noted, was not the least bit helpful and seemed annoyed that he had to speak to customers. When I arrived to pick up the film, they had thrown the loose film in a paper envelope, instead of putting it in a sheet or film canister, so the film had been getting crushed and wrinkled, sitting underneath their other orders. At this point, I was just hoping the scans were OK. Wrong again. Complete trash. Despite describing their basic scans as 5MB scans on their website, each of my photos was around 1MB, which is just about the worst quality scan you can produce at home, much less for $19.00 from a professional. Take your film somewhere else where your business and film are valued.

Very disappointing customer service experience. I recently purchased a brand-new Leica camera from…read morethe Leica store in Amsterdam, and after arriving home discovered it wouldn't work. I waited until I was in Miami because I assumed a Leica store would be able to assist me with a nearly new Leica product. I completely understand that the Miami store is independently owned and may not be able to exchange a camera purchased at another location. What I do not understand is the complete unwillingness to help. I had the Amsterdam store, where I purchased the camera, literally on the phone and asked the Miami representative if he would speak with them to see what could be done. He refused to even help or speak with the Amsterdam representative who was waiting to see what could be worked out.. Thankfully, the Amsterdam store was extremely helpful, reviewed my receipt, recognized how recently the camera was purchased, and is arranging for a brand-new replacement. For a premium brand like Leica, I expected a much higher level of customer service from an authorized store. Even if an exchange was not possible, simply making an effort to assist a customer or communicate with the selling Leica store would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was not my experience in Miami. Makes me even question purchasing a Leica and any customer service to come after that, especially from the Miami store.
