I needed a towing company because my car broke down outta nowhere due to starter issues,I only called them because they was the only one that was closest to where I was and I needed my car towed asap due to where I was on the phone they told me 150 i agreed they had me waiting for an hour and 30 minutes as I was getting ready to call another company ,they arrived I told them to tow it to my home once I got home they gave a price totally different from what I was told on the phone. This piece of crap tried to charge me 600$ because he so called popped his tires on my bumper while jacking my car , as if it's my fault that he can't do his fkn job , then goes to tell me that he has to charge for labor, towing fee ,tire fee,whole lot of bs then I ask to talk to his boss his gives me his number this man drives away picks up the phone and acts like he's the boss when it was literally the same voice speaking to me , then the cherry on top I find new scratches on my car that where never there. He gave me a price of $150 a wheel!!Which is absurd. That's $300. I can buy all four tires for under $280. I went over to my guys at ETD in Hackensack and payed $84 before tax. That's mounted and balanced. I get you have to pay for the convenience of him coming to you and to make a dollar but taking advantage is a whole different story.

They were great about responding, showing up in under an hour, and towing our van directly to the work site which was approx. a 45 minute tow. That is when the experience went sour. The driver demanded payment of $1,500. CASH. He would not unhook the van until paid. After we haggled and argued for 20-30 minutes, one push of the "dial" away from calling 911, he agreed to drop the fee to $1,000 CASH. We had NO choice as it was night time, we were now late to start the job, and had two of our contractors waiting for the van and it's belongings. We paid $500. cash, and one of the contractors had to Venmo the other $500. WE BASICALLY GOT ROBBED! Only reason we didnt call the police is that it was our mistake for not asking how much the tow would cost ahead of time. So, this guy just saw our desperation and completely took advantage of the situation. NOT sure that Adams Towing even knows about this? Tow truck driver may have even been the owner, not sure... Hopefully NOT! As this was disgraceful.
