R&D Paving was contracted about 2 months ago to perform sealing of a small asphalt parking area off my driveway. He charged me much more than I expected but I thought he will do a good job so agreed. Quite the opposite, the job was done poorly. None of the cracks were filled as agreed in advance. I have texted him several times for almost 50 days and he keeps promising that he will come and fix it because he is busy. I sent him a final message last Tuesday hoping he will respond before I post this note, but nothing has happened, and I will likely end up doing it myself as the will get worse during the winter. I asked for a receipt, but he refuses to provide a receipt. Very disappointed and I do not recommend him to anyone. There are other negative reviews about this contractor, so beware! read more

I got my driveway patched up and sealcoated on 9/7/19. There was a minor issue that caused me to call Richie @ R&D. Not only was the response positive and professional, Richie immediately made the time to come by and address the issue within 24 hours. He was pleasant and informative to deal with. Had my driveway paved and the added a drain to the driveway so the water would drain rather than pool like the previous 18 years. Been 2 years now and today the resealed the driveway. The is a spray applicator that is quick and shows no brush marks. They did it after the driveway cures and it lasted 2 years as promised. The driveway looks like new after 2 years so Thanks to Richie and the crews. read more

Buyer beware! I would give a zero star if possible. My driveway is on a hill. I contracted R&D to repave half of my driveway and lessen the angle at the bottom so I could get my car down easier. Richie guaranteed he could take some of the angle off. The work was done while I was out of town and Richie never came to the site. The crew paved less than 1/3 of the driveway vs. the 1/2 in our contract. They also increased the angle at the bottom of the driveway so much that I can't get my car down it now. When I returned from my trip and called Richie to discuss the issue and come up with a solution to fix the issues, he essentially told me he wasn't going to do anything. I lived to far for him to send a crew unless I agreed to pay to rip out the whole driveway and do it again. He then put his father in the phone who proceeded to scream obscenities and brag about the $1million dollar equipment they had and how great he was. I now have a driveway that is not usable and am out 1000's of dollars. Now I have to take them to court in order to get this mess resolved. I will update after, but in the meantime, please beware. These guys are not ethical, don't live up to their contracts and don't stand by their work in any way. read more

I hired them to seal coat my driveway in late fall of 2021. The crew showed up promptly, but I wasn't happy with their cleaning and surface preparation (dry brushing and air blowing, even in areas where moss was growing). We rescheduled and I did the preparations myself - applied moss killer twice and power washed twice. They came back, sprayed on the sealer, and it looked really pretty. By spring however, it looked bad, like the sealer hadn't lasted well at all. I bought sealer and did it again myself. The price also seemed high, and wasn't reduced when I took on the preparation work. I wouldn't use them again for driveway sealing. read more

I hired Rich and R&D Paving in early November 2018 to remove my old driveway and replace with new asphalt. Rich initially answered all of my questions and assured me his team would do a great job. He also told me how busy and booked up he was, yet wanted to collect a deposit within hours of committing to hiring him. This should have been a red flag. His team arrived and installed on the promised date, but that was the end of the positive experience. He offers a "satisfaction guarantee", but that is not the case in my situation. Within 3 days following install, it rained and we noticed immediately that we had substantial flooding down the center of our driveway (see pics). I contacted Rich several times and he became argumentative and said "we fulfilled our obligation". So,I have a driveway that that does not drain and has to have the rain swept with a large broom in order to get some of the water to move away. The problem persisted and eventually Rich texted me around the end of Noverber/early December that he was busy working for the DOT salting roads and would get to my house as soon as he could????? Anyway, that was in early December and he has since refused to return calls. The driveway is now beginning to crack and buckle where all of the puddling has occurred and the driveway is only 3 months old. I would not recommend hiring Rich/R&D paving. There are plenty of options out there and in my opinion it is simply not worth the risk with your hard earned money. He may even respond here as he has done for other reviews. I had a driveway in need of replacement. The job was completed today. It was a pleasure to have such a professional, hard working team that ripped out and installed a finished product. I observed the work over the two days they were here. No shortcut was taken and you could see the pride they had in their work. Richie and the crew were great. By seeing 5 stars on Yelp, we had our driveway repaved by R&D Paving. We had a very good experience in signing the contract. Richard George (Richie) who dealt with us was very respectful, accommodating and we thought he did a good job. Unfortunately he brought only one truck and his supply place was two hrs away from our home. so a job that should have taken just a few hours took entire long day (over 10hrs). Now we have a serious problem, Driveway grading (slope) is not right. There is water in front of our house entrance and all three garage doors. We are worried in winter we'll have black ice and we will be falling over there breaking our hips and back. We've safety hazard conditions. We did point this out to them. He sent his people.
