Based on the menu descriptions, I expected a very good meal. It was lunch time (1:30-2pm) so I expected a crowd when I arrived, but there was only two other ladies there that had just walked in a few minutes before me. The restaurant is tight quarters if you decide to dine in. The lady behind the counter was polite and my order was ready to go. I arrived at home about 10 minutes later to enjoy my meal. The chicken was cooked well, but a little salty and they were not warm and there was no mambo sauce. The cabbage was decent, but the mac was gummy and gelatinous and cold. I heated it up and added a little shredded cheese which made it a little better flavor wise, but the gummy texture was off putting and I threw it away which was hurtful as mac & cheese is one of my favorite sides. I was on a tight schedule, so I ordered online ahead of time. I scheduled my order for pickup at 5. They have music playing on a little speaker, and the woman working there was friendly. I ordered the beef ribs with a side of mac and cheese and collard greens. I got an additional side of cornbread stuffing. I arrived at 5, and my food was not ready. It was not even prepared until I got there. I did not get out of there until about 520, mind you; I had pre-scheduled a 5 PM pickup. The food traveled well and was delicious. I loved every item. They were all so flavorful. It was also a ton of food. The stuffing was really good. The ribs were amazing, and the collard greens were just like Mom used to make. And the mac and cheese was fire.
