    Beer selection

Rueggenbach brewing is a little diamond in a rough in Marshall TEXAS. This brewery has unique beers and has some fantastic meals and they also can do pairing to meals with the selection of beers. This place has three stories one being the roof. The weight staff are exceptionally knowledgeable of the beer and of the food products. The brewery is very clean. The ambience of this location is very fun to be around. I was in town for a trial. I started for an appetizer. I tried the spicy cheese curds. That was very tasty. And I had a light salad called the seasonal salad. Man that salad was on the spot. I had one beer it was called the feast beer. It was a cream ale man that was out of this world. I wish I had more time to hang out there. So if you're going by Marshall or in Marshall, by all means stop by this brewery you'll really dig it

This is no doubt one of the coolest spots in Marshall, Texas. There is a fantastic food menu paired with beers here which makes for one of the best spots to get lunch or dinner and hang out in an old fire station with the coolest decor and furniture. Parking was easy and plentiful around the square where this local brewery sits at the edge of. By the looks of the guitars and amps set up inside they no doubt have live music here and probably often. I came in during the week, at dinner time, and they didn't have anyone playing that night. But I did see the monthly calendar of events on the wall (near the entrance) in case you want to make plans to check out some good talent. I bet it live music here sounds so good. This building has such a large ceiling that I could see the acoustics of the space to really compliment any band and/or singer. Go check up stairs too! They got some cool couches and hang out spots to play games and you can even have a large group upstairs. There is plenty of space and spots up there. Service was friendly and fast! I wanted some dinner and the bar lady guided me to a delicious spinach mushroom burger with fries. It was a large portion which made me super happy to have leftovers to take back with me for a midnight snack at my hotel. Trek upstairs and be sure to take in the rooftop views of the square of Marshall. I got some great photos of the views and really could tell Marshall is a charming little town. I recommend getting a beer or cider they have on the menu that just sounds delicious. Whatever calls to you I know they have something on their beer or wine list for you. I even saw a cooler off to the side with additional bottles of wines and drinks. Ask the staff what they suggest and take a chance. You will be happy you do as I had a nice strawberry creme cider here the evening I came in and it was delightful!

What a treat to find this great brewery on our impromptu detour to see the famous Harrison County, Texas Courthouse Christmas Lights. The great music from the live band drew us to investigate, Owner/Brewer Texas invited us in for a tour. Impressive is an understatement. Look forward to returning to spend more time! Definitely worth the drive if you like a great brewery and a must stop if you're passing anywhere close by!

    A light beer, brewed in-house.

Marshall's first brewery has established a cozy home inside the city's original fire station on the square. The 1872 building has been beautifully renovated and designed to showcase a working brewery. Rüeggenbach offers a small menu of pub food (see menu). The star here is the beer. It's a great place to hangout with friends and enjoy an ice cold beer made right on the premises. Many different varieties of brew are on tap. The place is three stories tall, with a sofas, a bar, and tables on the first floor. A concert and meeting area is on the second floor. Just above that is a rooftop patio overlooking the courthouse square. There's nothing else like it in town.

Great beer; working on the menu I hope. Not too crazy about food offerings but the beer is very good.

Fo4 the first time in living here in Marshall for 11 years I had a SLIGHT glitch with my food order…read morewhere there was barely any fried peppers and onions on my chicken fajita. They not only replaced it but they offered 2 & a drink. I just wanted 1, but took the drink. The mod was Landon & he was extremely polite & made sure I was well taken care of & was satisfied with the everything & Tina, who personally handled the whole thing, was sweet and very friendly with a wonderful energy about her who, in my observation, was upbeat & extremely helpful & friendly with all of the other customers despite being the only one at register, knocking those orders out quickly and was kinda like a helicopter parent making sure the preps were being done fast. No rudeness to her coworkers either, just got things done & they were a well oiled machine. This store isn't always perfect ( who is) but the service is never terrible. People forget that this isn't McDonald's where the meat and everything is precooked and waiting in slot pans, reheated a little bit and 1/2 ass slapped together. This food is fresh cooked & everything is done WHEN YOU ORDER IT. It's worth the wait. Shout out to Tina, Landon & the rest of the Victory Drive crew in Marshall Texas!! Sorry this is so long, but as much as people nit pick on the bad, I feel that I should make a deal about something small that was s big deal to me. I mean, we all need to sit back & look for, & appreciate, more of the good things that happen in our days. These people honestly do try alot, so forgive them for not being perfect. Ive seen Tine take flack in the oast & seen her look hurt by customer's words & attitudes, but she keeps smiling & being sweet, even if her eyes look like she wants to cry. These are kids & this is probably their first job, so try and cut them some slack folks.

The place was so smoky and smelly it would explain why my order was so bad. I got a whataburger classic burger and when I bit into it, all I could taste was mustard and ketchup. I lifted the bun and there was a pool of each and more condiments than meat. When I took it back in and asked the manager if that was normal she wouldn't answer and would only offer to remake it. So I ordered that one plain and added the condiments myself but the burger still didn't taste like I remember when visiting Texas. So sad to see them go so far downhill. A week later we had an rv camper pull in next to us and say the same quality issues with the whataburger in Sugarland. They two said that was their last visit.

The team member was not well versed on the menu yet and no staff member was near to help she had to…read morecall out her questions so others could yell out answers. Given she wasn't well versed she didn't add anything as combo meals and charged everything individually. The food took about 30 mins for 2 burgers and a 3 piece tender with fries. So overall the service was very slow. When they brought the food and the tray of condiments over they only had one ketchup on it vs the traditional full tray of options. The burgers were still cold and the buns were stale/hard. I will say the gravy for chicken strips was flavorful and very hot! Overall not the experience we wanted to have. Prices are a little higher than your typical food chain but the portions are larger. The restaurant is large and we found good seating. They also have high chairs available. The floors were very slippery!
