From a design perspective, Ave. Six offers me the ability to created unique designs for my clients by providing what I call a "great foundation" to build on. For example, the wood plank floor in the East Stage would cost $1000's of dollars to install in a raw stage. By installing sets on this ready made floor, I can put my clients art budget towards other design elements more critical to their project. This also holds true for larger sets when I need to incorporate their standing set walls into my designs. Ave Six has great logistics (location, parking, truck space, easy load-in) They also have an exceptionally accommodating and wonderful staff whose goal is to help productions in their work, not hinder them. For example, on my last shoot there I was allowed to use Ave. Six backdrops in my designs from one of their stages not rented by the production company because it wasn't booked by anyone else. Ave. Six Studios is a great, unique stage facility and an invaluable resource for Art Directors looking to deliver the most for their clients. Good to be back at WB to be in another production that will air in the Fall…read more First time for me at the WB Ranch location. Can't talk about it, but it takes a lot of hard working talented people to pull off a new quality TV series. Special thanks to the staff that constantly cleaned the restrooms during the day so that whenever I used it--they looked like they were just cleaned. And the food service craft people that prepared for me a custom egg white omelet with veggies for breakfast and delicious baked chicken, broccoli and potatos for lunch to power my 13 hour day here. This location has a special place in my heart because it has the, "I Dream of Jeannie" house and Stage 31 where the "Partridge Family" was filmed--two of my favorite shows from the past. If you are coming here to work, parking right inside Gate 11 is plentiful and has a few large tree covered spots. Just down the block outside the Studio is: Western Bagel which opens very early in the morning, CVS, a Pizza Place, and 2 Gas Stations across the street with convenience stores.

That was fine, we let the next person go. But when it was our turn for the next register, Bettie, the employee assisting us was even more unfriendly and annoyed. Maybe it was just an off day for them. We were just deciding what to order and were being friendly so I can only assume they were just having a bad day. Unfortunately that did set a low mood for us. Simple courtesy would've went along way instead of snarky answers to our questions. When we received our order Bettie seemed a little more relaxed which I appreciated. The nachos we ordered actually come with cheese straight from the spout and not prepackaged. The only thing is, now there is an extra charge for additional boxes. Thats ok, everything is more expensive. i get it. Now for the real deal. Onto the better experience. Inside the theater, there were recliner seats with trays and were very clean and maintained. After tons & tons of research to see which music production school would be best for me I finally stumbled across Anonymous Studios! The biggest drawing factor for me was the fact that Anonymous provided students with a 1-on-1 learning environment. For someone who has never even opened Ableton I knew I was going to need all the help and attention I could get, so what better way than your own personal instructor?! After inquiring about the classes they offered I was contacted via phone call appointment by Jessica who would further breakdown all that they offer at Anonymous. She had suggested their 4 month course on Ableton that would cover both mixing & mastering would be the best option for what I was looking to get out of their program. Jessica had even set up an appointment for me to come check out the studios in person & get a tour by the main man himself; Hem, who is sort of the man in charge & oversees the entire studios. After the tour of the studios & an extremely detailed discussion on their courses & the opportunities that would present themself by being a student there; it was a no brainer, I had settled on where I wanted to go to learn Ableton! My overall experience was nothing short of absolutely amazing & extremely insightful. In the four months that I was in the course I learned more than I could possibly imagine. From knowing absolutely nothing on Ableton to composing melodies from scratch, composing full tracks, learning my keys and scale, and also mixing down & mastering my own tracks, it was nothing but an informative learning experience. In that time I had 3 instructors in total, where I spent 90% of that time with one instructor who's name is Morgan. Morgan's vast knowledge of not just the DAW but also synthesizers was something that absolutely blew me away, & only inspired me more to work hard towards my goals. Working on those projects was also really easy considering that Anonymous offers free studio time to its students which is absolutely crucial in this learning environment. One must continually practice what they're learning here or else all the niches & tricks obtained from learning here will only deteriorate. I would take full advantage of this free studio time because the rooms offered here are absolutely stacked with the highest end/best gear for production. I would put myself through 1.5 hours sometimes even 3 hours of traffic to drive here from school all the way from Riverside. So when I tell people this is the only place to go when you decided you want to take your music career to the next level; I mean it. They provide you with all the tools necessary to get you exactly where you want to get to, whether that be music production or DJing. The instructors & staff there are all about one other & truly make you feel like family. There simply is no better place to better than Anonymous Studios.

Bring your own beer/wine and food as the concession stand is SUPER EXPENSIVE. $18.00 for a Modelo on tap! GET THERE EARLY! We got to the bottom of the hill at 6:10 for a 6:30 show and it took 30min to slowly creep up the hill to the parking lot. They only let 1 car at at time in so we missed some of the show. They start right on time as shows end on the early side to avoid disturbing the neighborhood. Get ready for walking (unless you like long lines for the shuttle bus) as everything is uphill.

I really like this place because it's all ours…read more By that I mean when we hold a casting here it's just us - not a big room with lots of different castings going on at the same time - sometimes as an actor you get in there and think "which door to choose?? Shall I go with door number 1 (SAG National) or door number 2 (Non-union, non paying, yipes!) As a casting director it can also get difficult because lets face it, actors aren't "all there" and by and large and they can get confused with so many castings in one place. Honestly. It's happened. But with only one waiting room and one door they really can't mess it up. Plus Nancy makes cookies and milk in the afternoon for us when we hold our sessions here, how can that be anything but good??
