Shout out to Langston and Dolly: you could not find better customer service in any store, anywhere…read more They bent over backwards to make a situation right when a department within Giant had dropped the ball and let me down. Such a great variety of condiments including tons of hot sauces. The meat department Is good here! Great prices and a lot of meat selections here! I mainly come here for hot sauces, meats and the Empanadas/Pastelillos/Quipes at the deli counter! They have a great hot Spanish food lunch selection for take out! The freshly baked bread at the deli counter flys out of here constantly! They also have a great variety of Spanish bakery goods and desserts.

As the store name implies, you're at a bargain discount supermarket of course. Much of what you'll find here are manufacture overstock, limited-run products (cereal especially) and occasionally store brands from outside supermarket chains that don't serve the same region. Sometimes you'll come across items that are a bit roughed up. For the most part though, the contents contained are still in good shape. So don't let the packaging fool you, especially for the amount you'll be saving. Just about everytime I show up here, I've always been able to discover something worth trying. Unfortunately with a store like this, what you find there one day might not be around the next. They once had stocked these awesome Ritz style crackers in individual sleeves for a great price. The flavor was twice as buttery and I truly enjoyed them. But alas, they were gone and nowhere to be found again. Overall I'd consider this a worthwhile experience for those who are budget conscious. The variety of products is astounding and ever-changing, the staff is always courteous and the price is just right. I am very impressed.

They have these funny signs that say what you would pay elsewhere but some of them are so outrageous I don't know where they are comparing themselves to. The brands they carry change constantly so you can't really count on going to this place if you need specific items. The store is clean and not very crowded though.

DON'T MISS SUSHI WEDNESDAY!…read more This was my "home" Giant for many years. It may not be the best supermarket I have ever visited, but it is definitely your best option in Berks County. With no Whole Foods, Wegman's, or Sprouts - this is the go to place for produce and prepped food. The real highlight of Giant is half-priced sushi on Wednesdays. There are limited Sushi options out here and I truly believe that Giant probably the best, especially if you factor in price. We made a Wednesday ritual out of going grocery shopping and getting half priced sushi. Seriously, I believe this is a hidden gem!
