Working with Carolyn on our wedding invitations was a dream come true. She was able to skillfully bring our vision to life, mixing details and style into a custom wedding invitation. At the first meeting, Carolyn pulled out sample after sample of invitations, envelopes, colors, and fonts which were tailored based on our theme (dark, moody florals) and what we were looking for. We had no idea we would be able to hand-pick every single detail of the invitation--the specific flower we wanted on the invitation backdrop, the font, the size of the invitation, the color of the envelope, the photograph of the flowers lining the envelope, the wax seal...the list goes on and on. The customization and flexibility allowed us to create a unique invitation that Carolyn then brought to life. We also had SO much fun choosing additional details/ decorations for our wedding day--from the escort cards, to the menu, to personalized napkins, and hashtag signs--each personalized detail made the night that much more special. We met once with Carolyn in person, and then did the rest from afar. We live in Boston and Carolyn is based in the Chicago area (my hometown). The distance wasn't an issue at all. We had consistent communication, and Carolyn was always easily reachable. She truly nailed it. We were married in October and STILL receive compliments on our wedding invitations. My mom insisted I have personalized thank you note cards made up for my small wedding, and she took me here. They had many kinds to choose from for every budget. You can have note cards that are already in the store personalized for a nominal extra fee, or you can order customized ones through their binders and binders of options from different stationery sources. I ended up ordering from one of the binders, and they came in promptly, were well priced, came out great and I loved them! The women who own the store are very helpful and were easy to work with. I used Quintessence for my invitations for my wedding last July. I had gone to a number of shops, but was having trouble finding the right invitations. I met with Carolyn, who listened to what I liked and helped me to make invitations that really captured what I wanted (classic and elegant). Carolyn had great ideas, but wasn't pushy and didn't try to hard sell me on anything. I was thrilled with how beautiful the invitations were and received many compliments from guests on them.
