I visited three wineries today and this was my favorite. It's less of a business like feel and more of a quaint homey vibe. I absolutely loved it and the woman was the sweetest! I also loved the fact that we had rose wine as an option and I ended up buying a bottle. There were two adorable big dogs as well, maybe mastiff mixes? All I know is that I would love to have a wedding there *cough cough*

HOTEL: I got an airbnb cabin here and it came with a free wine tasting. The cabin was very modern with a rustic feeling. My cabin had two beds, a couch, a tv, fridge, sink, bathroom, A/C, and an outdoor shower. There was a security guard on staff all night. Great experience. WINE TASTING: The two people who did the wine tasting were very nice. It also came with delicious gouda cheese topped with honey, balsamic, and walnuts. Delicious!!! I have no comments on the wine itself, I'm not knowledgeable enough to give an opinion. FOOD TRUCK: The also have a pop-up food truck on site. When I was there it was El Clavo Cocina de la Baja, which is DELICIOUS. I had the hummus, chesse plate, ceviche, and tostadas, as well as a white sangria. Everything was amazing and probably better than most places in the US. All food in Mexico is also very cheap.

The site on the way to the tasting room.

I ended up doing the tequila tasting since I absolutely suck at drinking wine, and honestly, it was such a fun experience. They paired the tequila with chocolate, spices, and different salts, which made the tasting feel unique, interactive, and way more memorable than I expected. The whole place had a creative, laid-back vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. If you're looking for something different from the usual wine tasting scene, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

My friends and I weren't too sure of how the process would be since they picked us up after we walked across the border. We booked our rides through WhatsApp and the communication was super easy. They were super responsive, and the day before our designated rides, they shared the driver's number for us to connect directly. Our driver down to Valle was named Elias and made the whole process so simple! He picked us right outside of where we came out after crossing the border. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable for the drive. He told us a little bit about Valle and how he's lived there for 25 years. On my way back, I had a different driver, who was Natalie. She was super nice and the ride back was so quick, probably because it was the morning and traffic wasn't too bad in Tijuana yet. She was helpful in directing me to find the line to cross the border. Without the direction from her, I would have definitely been confused. They made this whole process so seamless! They were on time and available for all the questions I had leading up to the rides as well. I will for sure use them in the future any time I'm traveling somewhere driving distance in Mexico!

They even suggested and helped us get a fast pass for border crossing that saved us 3 hours in crossing the border. Great team and service.

From the moment you arrive, it's clear that this is more than a winery--it's a luxury destination designed for those who appreciate exceptional wine, world-class hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. We chose the chocolate and wine pairing, and it was, without exaggeration, 100/10. Every pairing was thoughtfully curated, allowing each wine and handcrafted chocolate to complement one another beautifully. It was easily the best chocolate and wine pairing we've experienced in Valle de Guadalupe. What truly elevated our visit was our wine host. We sampled more than a dozen wines, and throughout the tasting he generously poured several complimentary selections that weren't even included in our package because he genuinely wanted us to experience the breadth of El Cielo's collection. His passion for winemaking, extensive knowledge, and warm personality transformed what could have been a standard tasting into an educational and memorable journey through their portfolio. The property itself is absolutely breathtaking. Immaculately maintained with stunning architecture and panoramic vineyard views, every detail reflects elegance and refinement. El Cielo also features a beautiful resort on-site, making it the perfect destination for anyone wanting to fully immerse themselves in wine country without ever leaving the estate. One of the most unique touches is the private helicopter landing pad, allowing guests to arrive in spectacular fashion and adding another layer of exclusivity to the experience. It's easy to understand why this estate has become a favorite retreat for celebrities and travelers seeking luxury, privacy, and impeccable service. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, the service was polished without ever feeling pretentious, and the cleanliness of the entire property was impeccable. There are many wonderful wineries in Valle de Guadalupe, but El Cielo has become our absolute favorite. Between the outstanding wines, unforgettable chocolate pairing, luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and breathtaking setting, this is the winery we will continue returning to every time we visit the valley. It is the kind of place that reminds you wine tasting isn't just about what's in the glass--it's about creating an experience you'll remember long after the last pour.

Service here took a long time to just get menus and initial drinks. We also ordered food that was no longer available. When we did order, the food took near an hour to come to our table. They do have a "Michelin rated" restaurant inside the building, curious to see what the service there is. Overall, i would say there are so many other wineries around Valle de Guadalupe that offer better services/food and drinks.

Monte Xanic walked us through every pour like a warm hug. Bruma is too cool and too artsy for any of that. Both are good! Just know what you're walking into. Bruma makes a really damn good glass of wine, and they make you go underground for it. The tasting is in a dark, quiet cellar that turns out to be the perfect place to actually pay attention to what's in your glass. And what's in there has personality. Real personality. The winery itself is moody and artistic in the very best way, built around a 300-year-old oak tree (which, fine, show off). Then you step outside and the grounds are STUNNING. So stunning that we wandered for an hour and decided to stay for dinner. Separate review coming. Four stars and not five because of the service during the tasting. Nobody was rude, everyone was perfectly nice, but they were also barely there. For a tasting, where the whole point is to learn what you're drinking, that's a miss. Worth the trip. Just bring a friend who knows wine, in case nobody else volunteers.

The wines were good. My friend fell in love with the first one, a white whose name apparently meant LOVE in the local dialect. Very on brand for her. ‍ We also tried their cheese breads - they had savoury and sweet options. I was team savoury while my friend was all about the sweet because balance, right? Overall, nice little stop to warm up our taste buds, but nothing that blew our minds. Just a casual "hey, we're in Valle" vibe before continuing our wine-fueled adventures.

Location was gorgeous and wine was pretty good- tasting was expensive and they poured enough for one sip only. The food was great, but also expensive for such small portions. You'd think after the dogs making me bleed there'd be some generous pours or something- but nope! Some of the tastings were under a single ounce. Overall gorgeous location and great tasting wine and food- but won't be returning due to the outrageously small portions, expensive price, and dining experience with biting and begging dogs.
