It is a supportive environment and a welcoming atmosphere for all skill level. I'm so fortunate to have Leonel as my coach. He brings the best out in you, so passionate, dedicated, talented, inspiring and caring . He believes in you, is knowledgeable and able to adapt to different levels. He motivates you and engages you. Takes time to clearly explain and demonstrate techniques, ensuring you understand how to execute them properly. It doesn't matter how long it takes to master these skills, he's positive and his goal is to help you improve and be your best. He leads by example, his passion and resilience for the sport is inspiring. Thank you Leonel for helping me be my best. Thank you to Raincity staff, trainers and members for being so friendly, kind and welcoming.

It was conveniently located close to us so we started going. The first class was tough. For a person who has tried a couple of the franchise boxing gyms in Vancouver - I had the wind knocked out of me a little bit - but in a great way. I found the instructors to be invested in improvement, technique, and structure from the beginning. I genuinely felt like I took away something from that class, and I find that quite rare for fitness classes. Not only have me and my husband become "regulars" to our standards, but we have also been able to genuinely build a passion for boxing through these classes. Every instructor is passionate about how they teach, what they teach and how you are progressing. I have lower back issues and multiple times, from other regular comers, professional boxers that compete and attend the gym and the instructors, I have gotten so much advice on how I could help with that pain and strengthen my muscles. I genuinely feel like you become a part of a family here - and I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for something to grow into, a caring family to be a part of and a KICK-ASS workout.

A long time ago, I was wandering around downtown and happened to randomly stumble into this place…read more The instructors (Kevin, Richard, Teddy, Yo, Sebastian) were super nice and friendly. They really know boxing and teach you the correct stance and punches. The place is at Bentall and they have awesome lockers with shower room, blow dryers, water, towels, etc. The place is clean. Initiation fee and membership is on the pricey side, but the place will definitely whip you in shape. There is a 2 week membership trial period and you can also do drop in, if you want. Classes are nice and leveled where they have the fundamental boxing, to beginner, and intermediate boxing. The two downside is parking is hard since it's at Dunsmuir and classes can become super full where you can be bumping into each other.

The staff love boxing and it shows in their training styles. The monthly membership is an excellent value if you go a couple times a week. A few times a year they will have a party at the gym with an open bar, food and you can watch PPV fights on their big screen TV. When I started just over a year ago, I weighed 220 lbs. and had back and knee problems. Now I'm 195 lbs. and have never felt better in my life. Join this gym! You'll have fun and get fit!

They were very beginner friendly and the instructor is very hands-on and nice. I like that he corrects your form and gives you advice on what to improve on. It's a nice mix of shadowboxing, bag work, defensive work, and partner work, which is hard to find at other gyms. Had so much of a blast the first time that I had brought all of my friends the second time. Highly recommend!

Once I went in, I'm amazed by the vibe and decor. Light is dim, love the cool decor, groovy music, it reminds me of an speakeasy pub. Laurie was very helpful and helped me with the hand wrap. Jordan was the instructor for the boxing fundamentals, he was extremely helpful and patient. I especially loved that he would come over to each student, to provide us with extra instruction and attention. It's a great slower pace class for absolute beginners like me, yet it still leaves me sweating and quite sore the next day. It is a very warm and welcoming environment, I would definitely come back for more!
