Despite the ongoing Main Street construction project, they were thriving on this Saturday afternoon. Open only on the weekend. It's so obvious that she loves and cares about her work. This store is adorable - always a solid offering of trendy and timeless clothing, quirky/fun gifts, plants, accessories, etc. Sort of like Target x10000 (you go in for one thing and walk out with 30). So much thought has been put into each product and detail of the store itself. I normally have to steer myself away from boutiques because I'm a poor young person and can't afford boutique pricing, but everything here is fair, affordable, and (yes it's true) high quality. I've been shopping here since it first opened and this place has always been quality/lovely! Whenever I'm back in Ames I have to swing in. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit :)

I only hope my review can help other college students be smart about their money and realize, as my friend did, that instead of supporting a small business that she thought she was, it still supports unethical fast fashion. I also know how hard my friend works for her money, which is why I was prompted to write this. Even if it is legal, I find it wrong to upscale and mislead college students.

We moved to Iowa recently from the Chicago area and so we were unfamiliar with the furniture stores…read morein Iowa but my daughter who has lived here a few years thought I should try Redekers. so we did. Upon entering we were greeted by Chris. A lovely clerk, but in the end, not very helpful. We told the Chris that 1) we were not familiar with the brands that they carry so we would rely on her knowledge and 2) we are in Iowa less than five months out of the year as we are retired and homestead in Florida. She steered us to the HomeStretch brand for a loveseat. Specifically, I asked her about durability because I have had Lazy Boy furniture in the past and had been very happy with it. She responded by saying that "Lazy Boy isn't what it used to be" but that this Homestretch would be good. Ok so we trusted her. My husband who is 6' and less than 200 lbs is the only person that sits in this chair. Within six months the chair was leaning and the seat part of the cushion was shot. Because we are in Iowa only five months out of the year by the time I returned to Iowa to report this collapse, the "warranty" was out of date by about one month. We were to pay to have someone come out to look at the piece ($50) and then they would evaluate the cost of repair. Chris was able to get the initial $50 fee waived, but the total cost of the repair would be about $350 including a pick up and return delivery to our home. $350 repair job for a piece of furniture a year old. If I wanted crap furniture or virtually zero customer service, I would have gone to some low end big box store. I don't recommend Redekers at all. My husband and I were small business owners for 40 years and never treated customers so poorly. I'm sure Redekers is in the Ankeny area regularly so I believe to waive the pick up and delivery charges for the repair of this furniture would have been the better decision on their part particularly because the furniture is so new. They chose not to work with us and that is poor judgment on their part. I would not go back and purchase another item from them again. Lousy.

He arranged with them to have a private viewing so we were the only ones there that was really special and kind of them to do. Kyle Youngberg made the experience so fun and exciting! He worked with us to create the ring of my dreams. I knew nothing about diamonds but my fiancé had done some research and could talk to Kyle in diamond terms. They then helped teach me about all the wonders of diamonds. We looked at different diamonds under the microscope and in the sunlight to pick the perfect one! I had to get my ring re-sized after the proposal and they were so helpful once again when we went in to drop it off and pick it up. It only took two days to get it back! We looked under the microscope again so we could see its beauty again and to see the special numbers engraved on the side so we can always make sure we have our diamond.
