Years ago, Allan G built me a framed board that I upholstered & added cup hooks to to hang my necklaces in my dressing room on (our 1950s house had NO closet space, so I made one of the bedrooms my IKEA-closeted paradise). However, in my new house, the fabric no longer worked where I wanted to put it. My new bedroom is in silver, gray, and very pale lilac-- sort of Jean Harlow 1930s glamour, so I was looking for some fabric with a nice shimmer or an actual metallic fabric. Found one! Absolutely gorgeous silvery print-- almost like a shantung. My cutter was super friendly and helpful (I can't think in metric). When she asked what I was creating, I had to explain that I had this board, and it was 24 x 26 inches...). When she told me the price I just about fell over, considering the exorbitant prices Fabricland charges. I think I paid around $22.00 for my find. They now have a customer for life, and I'll come back here FIRST before ever spending a dime in another Fabricland.

I placed an order for sheets, a duvet blanket and a duvet cover. My order arrived within a few days. Oh My God! Why did I wait so long to buy great quality bed linens? Within a week inplaced a 2and order for sheets, the duvet and another duvet cover. 2 weeks later I ordered more sheets. The website says the sheets come in bags made from excess fabric I thought it would be extra sheet material sewn into pouches. Oh no no no these are beautiful totes made from excess fabric used to make hospitality curtains and other soft goods. I wish these could be purchased but I guess I will just have to order more sheets to get more totes. The reason I made a 3rd order was I got an email sharing that they were making non medical masks to address this whole Covid thing. My husband works as an ETS driver so I order 2 packages to try and well I ordered sheet set #3 the order arrived the next day. I almost cried when Suzanne told me when my order would come b/c she made it a priority as he is a front line/essential worker. Skylark & Owl have gained a loyal customer for life! I accepted that and left it with them and was informed that there would be a $75.00 bench charge even if they could not fix it. I agreed to those terms. they called me a couple of days later and said parts were no longer available. Paid plus GST. Got home went on the internet to see what the part was and found some INSTOCK in about 5 minutes. Phone a repair place in Sherwood Park and the response was NO PROBLEM. Was all fixed in a couple of days. Runs like new.

Cashier gave me attitude and said they are understaffed. If you are a business delivering service, priority should be helping customers as this translates into business. Staff is not trained or not willing to multitask. My friend and I left the store fuming, mostly with the staff's attitude.
