Odd that I've revisiting this review again around a July 4th weekend... Lol One of the best gas stations in West Des Moines and definitely the best roller grill you will find in the area..! Staff is always easy to work with. Sitting right along I-235 it can get pretty busy at times. Every now and then it could probably be a little cleaner, but you take the bad with the good I guess... Speaking of bad... Why tf did you all get rid of the frozen coffee options? Corporate call I'm guessing as it seems to be all the QT locations and not just this one. smh Now that I think about it... Why am I giving this place 5 stars? Sheesh... I guess comparatively speaking it's still basically the best gas station around as far as drink selection and food in West Des Moines. Unless you want pizza... If you want pizza it's Casey's hands down. Two mega slices for $6! And the pizza is WAY better at Casey's. QT pizza kind of blows... C'mon QT! Good location, clean, I generally have good luck at this particular quick trip location. Staff is generally friendly, and attentive. QuikTrip foods are decent, good fountain selection, reasonable donuts, etc. I think that QuikTrip is upscale as convenience stores go, while still being a convenience store. One of QuikTrips better virtues is that their fuel handling is clean. Better than usual fuel better than usual handling. Things to know: * Easy access off of I-235. * This location has the new coffee beverage on tap stations. These are nice, when they work. Every other stop I make the machines are out of order. I hope to see a reduction of this headache as they continue to get the maintenance sorted out. read more

I work late nights...after getting screwed by McDonald's, claiming they were open when they weren't, I thought I'd stop in to get some food off the roller grill. The only thing available was hot dogs and there were exactly 0 buns in the drawer. I walked out without buying anything...another patron was there and registered a similar amount of disgust. 700k people in this metro area and you can't get shit for food overnight. I have been in this QuikTrip multiple times over the last two weeks. I have used the female restroom each time. I noticed over ten days ago the bathroom hadn't been clean very well if ever. If the same toilet has the same marks on it in the same spot what do you think is going on in the kitchen that seems to be the worst one I've seen across the US continent!! Granted, I haven't been in all but we stop at them regularly. Tulsa truck stop is kept better than this and that may be that women aren't using that restroom, but idk. But this one is repulsively disgusting! And it's worse each time we've come in that I can't stand to put up with the nastiness!! And the kitchen is never consistent. Who puts this on the review isn't caring about what they get their so hungry. Each time we order, I'm recooking it. (They soak it in hydrogenated plastic fake butter cause it's cheap). I'm recooking it and toasting it in the portable skillet we carry with us. First, it's soaked and second I'm toasting after ordering it. I don't eat it. I recook/toast it for the person who does. And I just ordered the pizza for the first time ever. Sadly disappointed with that. Doughy! I'm not even eating anything but the toppings and a bite out of the crust! And I paid for this!!!! These convenience stores are very consistent...the staff are friendly and the stores are clean generally. Today I ordered pretzels and they had changed the pretzels they are making to order. They are ok but I liked the old kind better. I also got the bbq pork sandwich and it was out of this world... actually better than the bbq joints and it was only $3.99. I real steal so to say! If you need a quick bit to eat this is a solid choice and they have a large variety to pick from. read more

I went to open my coffee and I twisted it thinking oh wow this opened pretty quickly. Come to come out the plastic seal that's supposed to be around the cap had been taken off prior to me buying it. I just spent 4$ on a coffee and am scared to drink it. Shouldn't someone working the cooler be checking for these things. Totally disappointed and this was my go to quick trip. Like dang. read more

Overall this is a good Quiktrip location. However the last two times I've purchased tea here (including at about 1:00 today) it tastes like soap. I tried two different kinds, weeks apart and on both times it was so bad I wound up throwing it away. I'll not try again. Something is terribly wrong.
