Very disapointed and found out later that this happends often at this store. In Arizona summer time is not the time to run out of ice. This chain is way to big to let this continue without repairs. I only use this QT location for gas. The gas station is located close to the freeway. It is easy to get in and out. Prices are usually close to average. I have yet to have any problem with the pumps. Every once in a while, a pump will already be marked as "out of service. " Area surrounding the pumps is usually clean. read more

Well. I had planned on dinner at home. But, a friend invited me at the last minute for a fireside get together. So, since I hadn't eaten, I needed something before the beer, chips and salsa. And, since there wasn't much in the way of good fast food enough route, I stopped here for a slice of pizza. While the store was very clean, service was a tad slow since there was only 1 guy on the register (a first for me at a QT). I had a slice of the pepperoni. While it is seasoned nicely, there's not much else good you can say about it. For something that had been out for 20 minutes, the crust was tough, and chewy. Listen, you're not going to find a better, nicer, cleaner gas station in the entire state of Arizona than you will just about any QuikTrip location. This one on Thunderbird in Peoria heading into Sun City is just as awesome as the others. I stopped here to fill up my vehicle with gas this morning before work. The handles of the gas pumps are clean! The gas pumps themselves are clean! The area that you stand around pumping gas are clean. I know. I know it's just a gas station, but why shouldn't they be clean? I'm no germ-a-phobe, but holy snot rags, Batman... when you're pumping gas, your hand should not be sticking to the inside of the handle of the gas pump like it does at most other gas stations. eeeeewww! Thankfully, I don't have to worry about that issue anytime I fill up at QuikTrip! I ran inside this morning and just as I suspected.... the entire interior of the store is spotless from top to bottom. How many times have you ever said that about the interior of a convenient store? ...pretty much never would be the most accurate answer, right? Not here. Even the bathrooms are clean! Yes, the fricken bathrooms are cleannnnnnn! Again, how many times have you walked out of a gas station bathroom and said - wow, that was a super pleasant experience! Not many, right?! The thing that QuikTrip does well is the fact that they make themselves stand out among all of their sub-par competition. Shell, Chevron, Safeway, BP and other local stations cannot hold a candle to QuikTrip because they aren't capable of doing what QuikTrip does. They can't possibly execute it because they don't take pride in their business like QuikTrip does! Have any of you been to some of the other gas stations in the not-so-great part of town? Swipe your credit card, pump your gas and get the f*ck outta here. Are those the kind of establishments that you want to patronize?! Of course, you don't! So stop doing it!! So anywho, I head into QuikTrip and as I mentioned, the interior from floor to ceiling is spotless. You want a ton of coffee varieties? Sure, you do! You want doughnuts? Of course! You want fresh made breakfast sandwiches? Who doesn't? You want an ice cream cone that only costs 49 cents out of their ice cream machine after you've eaten your breakfast sandwich? Who wouldn't want that?! There is never a line, there's always plenty of employee and moreover, everyone is friendly and genuinely seems interested in helping the customer have a pleasant experience. Moving forward, I'm going to patronize QuikTrip locally whenever I can. They deserve the business because they're doing extraordinary things that no other gas station / convenient store is. Obviously, on road strips and family adventures, it's difficult to patronize just one brand of gas station... but locally, I am going to do my part to make sure they get my business. It would make things a lot faster and easier if there was a place for people to line up while buying things at the register. A common problem is people will wait around the sandwich grab and go in the front and wait for the left side of a register when there's already a line of people waiting for the register in general, whether it's the left or right side. The employees don't even care and let it happen and even call other people that haven't been waiting to help them over everyone else. People cutting lines is the rudest thing you can do and this company apparently let's it happen and doesn't care about having a professional atmosphere. read more

I have been going to that location for years to get my caramel frappe. It used to be my favorite. However they change the inside and since then all 5 frappes that were made was a disaster. How can you mess up a frappe? Now it is just a watery drink with out any taste. That is sad to mess up a frappe that bad. read more

I like this QT on Thunderbird. My first time for a breakfast bowl and the guy was very helpful with explaining what it is. It was delicious, freshly made with fresh mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Very tasty and plentiful. I couldn't even finish it all. The price was right for a good hot breakfast. This QT has a very clean bathroom and clean gas pump area too. It's a pleasant gas station to go use. read more

I stop here pretty regularly on my way to work for iced tea and coffee even breakfast sandwiches. It's always clean well stocked and I've always been very hesitant about gas station foods but not with QT. It's pretty busy often when I go but it's never an issue the cashiers are always fast and friendly. read more

I happen to like the chocolate and whipped cream and cherry no extra cost. Today I ordered a large pizza that had mushrooms an they accidentally made me a pepperoni the guy apologized and then made me a mushroom and gave me a both for the one pizza price. If I hadn't been to Wawa, I'd give them 5 stars. Nice, roomy, clean convenience store, gas prices in line with other gas stations and sometimes better. We tried the 49 cent ice cream cones, and they are tasty, way bigger than McDonald's and less expensive, too. The ice cream cones are a win. You can order them through a touch screen at the back counter instead of having to make actual verbal contact or eye contact with another human being, so of course that's what I did. I think the guy behind the counter looked me in the eye to make sure I was paying attention and wasn't going to drop the cones when he handed them over, but that was it. I am fine with impersonal eating experiences, so I thought it was cool. There's an umbrella picnic table outside for those of us who like to take our food outside. Oh, and I almost forgot, a while back I was digging around in my change purse, tossing bills all over the counter in search of exact change, when I lost track of I think it was a twenty. I forgot it was mine, and yes, I know that makes me sound like an idiot. Sometimes I am an idiot. So before I walked out without it, the young man at the cash register told me that was my twenty. Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of QT. I stop by various locations multiple times a week. I generally have a great experience at this store but feel compelled to give a review in regards their brewed iced tea only. I drink unflavored, unsweetened iced tea. It is no secret that if the tea sits too long or if the carafe is not rinsed between brewing the tea gets a nasty taste to it. More often than not when I stop at this location, the iced tea is not suitable for drinking. The staff is always polite and willing to brew fresh tea for me and but I would prefer to pay for my refill and get good tea the first time and not have to wait. So if you drink this type of tea be sure to give it a taste test before walking out the door. I will also add that in general I have more problem with the tea at the new larger stores than the small original footprint. read more

I believe I have finally made my last visit to this particular QT as our multiple complaints to the store manager about their employees not cleaning the ice tea machines properly has fallen on deaf ears. Tonight's version of ice tea was the worst. I just don't get it. You can't just refill their machines. They have to clean them before refilling them including the brewing bin. read more

I love quiktrip! I stop here frequently on my way to work because in the mornings it's one of the few places I can get lunch food quickly and cheaply before 10 o'clock in the morning. The service is always super fast, the staff is always friendly, and there are tons of gas pumps if you actually need gas. They have a great selection of hot foods on the roller bar, cold drink bar, and coffee station. They have a large variety of snacks and candies. It really is one stop shopping, even for your late night munchies! This is hands down my favorite gas station and convenience store in the greater Phoenix area! read more

I like that it takes all of 3 seconds to check out and every customer is welcomed when they enter. They have an exceptional assortment of convenience foods from hot dogs to raw almonds. I will go out of my way to stop at this store! THANKSGIVING DAY... after 6pm... There was a young man sitting on the bench (brick wall) in front of the store when I went in... when I came out, he somewhat embarrassed asked me if I could spare some money. I realize that there are people all over asking for money... but this was different. I went up to the young man and asked what he needed money for. .... he said his mom kicked him out of the house. ...asked him what he would do with the money and he said he would try to get enough and go out to California. I asked how old he is, and he said 16. [he was polite, embarrassed, not a bad attitude, and he didn't smell like smoke, etc.] ... now the great part! Went in to get a paper and pen to write down names of places for homeless youth so he could stay in school, have a future, and trust that there is good out there! .... Two young men working in the store - their faces lit up when I told them why I needed the paper and pen. QT has a program especially for homeless youth! They gave him food, and told him to hang out with them, behind the counter until they could get the right people to help him... (they assured me he would have food and a place to stay .. and a chance to stay in school). WOW!! MY HAT OFF TO QT!! Again, I will go out of my way to stop at QT stores!!
