One person at a cash register is handling two lines in an extremely fast and efficient manner. It's always that way. The food is not gourmet, so it is filler food, but pretty good. The hotdogs are inexpensive, free toppings such as sauerkraut, jalapenos, onions, etc. with only cheese or chili costing extra. Pizza is decent too. Gas prices are low. They have two kinds of ice for drinks, crunchy for chewing and hard. Outdoor seating as well. There is something kind of neat about eating at a gas station, especially if it is clean and decent food at a great price. And you can fill up while you fill up....get it!

This QuikTrip is brand new construction and is less than half a mile from my work. It is very…read morebright, clean and well laid out. What distinguishes QuikTrip? Well first of all the check out registers are set up to operate from both sides, meaning that one person can handle two lines while folks are fumbling for change or entering pin numbers, etc. Instead of being distracting, this is highly efficient. Secondly, they really have brought the fast food, or snack food addition to the convenience store back into the forefront. I am reminded of a chain of convenience stores/gas stations in the Mid-west that was called the White Hen pantry. These stores had a full service deli, fresh cut meats and lunch deli sandwiches made to order. I had not thought that would be appealing, but at the time, I was a traveling salesman and the convenience combined with the appeal of healthier food (versus standard fast food) at the time was a great option. QT is similar. It is also very popular with the teenagers for the same reasons - decent food options, great beverage options (slushies, coffee and a variety of flavors) and it doesn't feel divey or like eating at a gas station. This is also a more appealing option than the gas stations with the Subway or McDonalds or other branded fast food because the options of choices are not limited to only that chain. For a quick lunch, two hotdogs for $2.69 isn't bad (maybe not the healthiest, but they are tasty)!

One car was using this thing and another was waiting behind them. I decided to take a restroom break before attempting to enter the traffic Twilight Zone, aka Woodruff Road. The restroom was typicality clean as QT does a great job in the housekeeping arena. I saw nothing out of place and the shelves were stocked abundantly.

While I was here, my wife suggested I pick up a Powerball since it was over $400 million so I bought a couple of quick picks. When she gave my my picks, there were on the Mega Millions and not the Powerball but she did correct it and gave my what I had requested. So I have high standards for C-stores. I was so pleased to walk into the massive store, feathering a huge slushee, smoothie, fountain drink and coffee area [PS they have both foam and plastic cups, and cube and crunch ice. So. Many. Options!!]. Along with a great selection of tornadoes (delicious!) and grab and go food. With PLENTY of condiments if you needed them. The staff was efficient and very friendly. Lighting is something I pay attention to as a solo female, especially at night. This store was very well lit and bright. Definitely my go-to station since recently moving to the area! We stopped to get something to drink and use the restroom on our way to an appointment. First the…read moreemployee came from behind the counter and was sort of following us around and watching us like she thought we were going to steal something which we felt was rude and were like do we look like thieves or something? I know me nor my little girl are thieves so that put a big no on purchasing anything from this store so we went to use the facilities so we could go elsewhere to get something to drink and here is more bad about this location , I opened the trash can in the stall that I was in to throw something away and the trash can had about 15 or more syringes in it laying right on top of the trash. We washed our hands promptly and on our way out we tried to tell the employee working who thought we looked like thieves about it and were told that it's a shared bathroom and they didn't want to touch that. We left and took our business elsewhere for our drinks and at the place we went we were not treated like they thought we were going to steal which was the QT's in Mauldin. They are very nice and didn't treat us like we were going to steal something and greeted us when we entered . Go here if you are going to be in Mauldin.
