The aisles, sample stations, pharmacy, and cafe all looked the same. However, I did notice a new sushi station, a larger selection of meats, and fewer checkout stands, which are now located closer to the exit. One of the biggest changes I noticed was the new exit arches that use artificial intelligence and computer vision to automatically scan shopping carts and verify purchases. This allows customers to exit faster without having to rely on employees to manually check receipts. I thought the exit arches were pretty cool, although I'm still unsure how accurate the technology is. I also loved seeing food items being marked down when they're getting close to their expiration dates. That's not something Sam's Club did in the past, so I thought it was a great addition and a way to help reduce food waste. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and was happy to see some new additions and improvements. My only disappointment was that there were no take-and-bake pizzas available for purchase.
