In 16 years, I don't believe I've ever reviewed a full-service gas station (Costco Gas does not…read morecount). There have not been many recent reviews for this Texaco gas station in the CP on the corner of New Hope and Lakeline, so here is mine. I have been frequenting this location for over six years, because it is very convenient for me to purchase lottery tickets (don't judge me) and buy beer, wine, and snacks when I don't want to travel to a big-box store. Yes, the prices are a tad higher, but I will pay a few extra bucks for convenience and time saved. They do have an excellent selection of brews, wines, and hard seltzers. If you are a vaper, they have many, many options for you. As a bonus, there is a taqueria on site. I have not tried their fare, but they are always busy, and the made-to-order tacos look and smell delicious. Note, they are only open for lunch. Regarding customer service, the guys at the counter always greet me with a friendly hello or high boss and they get me in and out quickly, which I appreciate.

There was a cup that was a bit larger next to it, that's a big gulp as well that was slightly larger. No notation on what size cup was on sale other than being a big goal. I thought well, it's super hot, I'm super thirsty. I'll go for the larger one. It appeared to be $1.49. When I got to the register guess what?! It was a buck 89. I asked her how she got a buck 89 out of $1.49 drink? She said the other ones on sale. I said I know the other ones on sale but this one is supposed to be $1.49 so how did you get $1.89 out of $1.49? She stuck her hand out and asked for the dollar 89 I should've left the cup on the counter and walked out. What do you do when you've already taken a sip from it?

This store is arranged in standard QuikTrip fashion. Depending on which side you enter you can choose fountain drinks or coffee drinks on tap on the immediate wall. There is fresh food in an open refrigerated section and a variety of hot foods. There is also a kitchen with a kiosk screen from which ordering can take place. There are fresh donuts and related pastries in the morning, which are discounted at night. Like other convenience stores you can find candy and generic sundries and groceries. I've just come in for the drinks. The fountain drinks have the right carbonation. I also like that they offer coffee on tap; it's unique. Both the cold brews are tasty, as well as the hot coffee offerings. And, if you want to sweeten your coffee, they tend to have 6-10 flavored creamers available for this use. And of course, they have the good personal service other convenience stores don't. You are greeted and thanked. Also, one person working can handle checking out people from both sides of the register. The fuel pumps are located a decent distance away from the store and are spaced well apart for vehicles to maneuver around. The pumps are also very modern.

They also have a full coffee bar on tap that offers a variety of flavors along with a creamer station, they have a frozen drinks slushie station, and a full kitchen offering pizzas, subs, tacos and more. I guess you can say I've been sheltered because I was amazed to see all of this. And to make it even better, the prices are reasonable and not marked up like other gas station prices. I have yet to try any of these items, only gas, but the customer service was great and the place was clean!

Some gas stations make it quick and as easy as possible. This is not one of those stations. I have been here about 10 times, one of those times the receipt was available at the pump. At my last visit, and I mean last as in final, to this station I mentioned my experience to the cashier and asked if they had decided to forgo putting paper in the pumps indefinitely and if so why. I was openly mocked by the cashier. For me it's a minor inconvenience but what about people with children in the car or disabilities? For them it's a real pain to come in for the receipt. Pro Tip: Be sure to use your Randall's card, for every Reward Point you get (after spending $100 in groceries) you get 10 cents off per gallon.
