    Patched tire, like brand new!
    Angela C.

Looking at Yelp, this place doesn't have the best reputation, but they were fantastic in my book. While on vacation to Topsail, we apparently ran over a screw. After trying another place down the road that told us it would take an hour to fix, someone at Advanced Auto told us about QuikTech. They were able to get us in quickly, and fixed our tire very fast! They patched the tire, rather than plugging it, which was a huge relief. You literally can't tell that there was ever a hole. It cost $20, which of course is about 3x the plug, but for peace of mind, it is worth it. Good job, guys!

Oil leaked out same day! They blame the car. smh

Very rude staff. There are far better automotive shops that have friendly staffs so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I cannot express enough, to stay far away from Classic Collision. It started out w very poor communication from their estimator David Squitieri, and only got worse. After an extremely long repair, for minimal items. Was told my vehicle was complete. Verifying my vehicle had been given an alignment prior to pick up, I was told they thought it had been done, but had to get back to me. They rushed to get an alignment done due to they had not done one after front end work. I arrived the next day to pick up my vehicle, stating it was complete. Upon taking possession of my vehicle, first thing was a check engine light on, as well as my steering wheel being was completely out of alignment. I returned immediately to bring attention to David. David specifically told me, that Classic Collision uses 3rd party companies for certain repairs (alignment), due to they are a body shop. I was told by David, that Classic Collision has No control over their vendors as far as doing a good job. This was specifically for the alignment. As a business owner I felt this was unreal that an employee would tell me they use sub par outfits to do maintenane/repair jobs on customers vehicles, and they have no control over there work performance. I contacted the company that supposedly did the alignment on my vehicle. Only to be told they in fact did Not do the alignment on my vehicle. So it was done in-house, and David passed the buck as if the other shop did this. After being lied to to my face, I realized this was only going to get worse, it Did. Returned next day to pick up truck, again. Couldn't deal w this shop's inability any longer. Had to leave town shortly after, and drive this truck w trailer 2000 miles cross country. After 800 plus miles into the return trip, pulled in late night to get fuel. Pulling into fuel station, turned left and my steering wheel, and wheels were Locked in a full left turn. My truck was now stuck in this fully locked left position. After looking under the drivers side steering assembly. Noticed an Unbelievable oversight by Classic Collision, their technician that "aligned" the truck's steering wheel NEVER re tightened the bolts for the steering arm. This then caused the coupling to rotate roughly 210 degrees, and the bolts were forced over steel plate, and locked wheels left (pics included). If this had been at highway speeds, and turned left over an overpass, or for any other reason. This would have "locked", and forced me into a god knows kind of accident. this is not just a little oversight, but should be a dismissal of your duties as a technician. With onlookers help, due to I was now blocking traffic, and stuck in a full left position. was able to spin the locking collar back close enough, and tightened the bolts that were left loose. Proceeded on w the drive, after making it the full 2000 miles. Noticed Oil, and other fluids now leaking from where I just had repairs done. I have since had to re pay a local shop to fix the issues, correctly I might add. Please be advised, this is not a shop anyone should be taking their vehicle to, to have ANY work done on it. Bad shop, poor communication, poor repairs, as well as being lied to, beware you've been warned.

Long story short...Truck needed repair after accident. The shop was told that there was visible…read moreleaking from the brake drum and diff housing. The shop only repaired the plastic pieces from the accident and replace a rim, stating, no leaks were found and nothing was wrong. Picked up my truck in confidence, drove down the road to then realize my back wheel was wobbling...take it back, oh you have a cracked axle, insurance won't pay it now since we've already sent the bill. So due to their negligence, and lack of care to actually inspect the truck I'm now without a vehicle for 5 months because of the back and forth BS with insurance. Just own up to your mistake and keep your integrity! Don't give me the run around about how you didn't know anything about it! Don't trust them!

It was also fast and they did put in the correct quantity of oil. Not sure what grade of oil or brand of oil filter they used. At about $120, it's very expensive. Clearly you are paying for convenience. As a former tribologist, mechanic and DIYer, I can do this job myself in 15 minutes for about $35-40 (using a group 3 / group 3 PAO blend "synthetic" like Mobile 1, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or similar), and an OEM filter which is my personal preference. I don't know what grade of "synthetic" they use. Many oils labeled "synthetic" are not group 4 / 5 based oils, ie PAOs or Esters - true synthetics. Most are made from group 3 base stocks - a highly refined, ultra clean petroleum. Having said that, as long as the API donut meets your engine's requirements, you are fine. I recommend changing the oil every 5,000 miles. Knock 20% off of that if your car is turbo charged or 4,000 miles. Obviously PAOs and Esters will give you better protection especially at the thermal extremes but come at a premium price. I'm positive these oil change shops do not use true synthetics because they are cost prohibitive and would eat their profit margin. Caveat emptor.
