Being new to NC, I didn't realize I had to have my car inspected every year. When I looked up where I could go and hours of operation, Quiktech came right up! Since I pass them every morning on my way to/from work and that they are open as early as 730AM, I drove right in! Luckily, I didn't need an appointment! I hopped out and they drove it into the bay. As it was being inspected, a nice young man made conversation regarding my personalized license plate! That made me feel good to have similar interests and had a nice talk! There are many garages all across North Carolina - but when you come across a garage who helps you out when on vacation and does it with professionalism you need to shout out. This is my SHOUT OUT to Quiktech in Hampstead. I was towed in due to a dead battery and fried fuses due to a clueless individual trying to "help". I was greeted with kindness, understanding, and upbeat staff. I had to wait for a part that was 30 mins away on a good day but with holiday traffic it was over 2 hours. Their lobby was cleaner then more dealerships, especially the bathroom. Two specific individuals stood out among the best. Dan and Kyle worked on my car trying to get a fuse that I believe Toyota never meant for it to be changed. Dan was upbeat and was training Kyle who will be an excellent mechanic. I cannot express my gratitude for their assistance on getting me back on the road. I HIGHLY recommend them for all your car needs. PS: Their oil changes are quick and their inspections are thorough! We have been going to Quiktech for the last 4.5 years and have always had a great experience. The guys are friendly and knowledgeable. Literally the only place where I feel like they aren't trying to rip you off. We get everything done here. Brought my car in for oil change and the owner asked what oil change i wanted, he expressed to me that synthetic is better but i said not for my car as it burns oil and not worth the extra money, he had an attitude thinking he was right. So had the oil changed and the mechanic left the protective panel under the engine loose so it was dragging on the ground when i left. I pulled it off at home and it was damaged but still usable, went back to them and explained what happened. They pulled it in the garage and claimed they fixed it, of course it was not checked by the rude owner which would have made sense being hes in charge of all service repairs, not 10 seconds into driving the panel just started flapping under the car again. Never going there again with any of my cars as the owners attitude was on display and ruined it. read more

Typically I have a good experience here except when I need an inspection. (Many of times they will fail you and make you spend more money and make you pay for two inspections which I had not had happen else where). However, all other experiences have been great. I have gotten tires here and frequent oil changes. The staff are really nice and even have worked out deals when I need to get a part. Overall, good place just be weary of getting an inspection there. read more

Looking at Yelp, this place doesn't have the best reputation, but they were fantastic in my book. While on vacation to Topsail, we apparently ran over a screw. After trying another place down the road that told us it would take an hour to fix, someone at Advanced Auto told us about QuikTech. They were able to get us in quickly, and fixed our tire very fast! They patched the tire, rather than plugging it, which was a huge relief. You literally can't tell that there was ever a hole. It cost $20, which of course is about 3x the plug, but for peace of mind, it is worth it. Good job, guys! read more

as with the other review, i'm not sure what QuikTech the older reviews are about. My experience with them was great! I went in for a high-mileage oil change which cost me around 60 bucks (a little on the higher end but not unheard of)and the staff was super friendly, got me in and out in about 15-20 minutes and even vacuumed my driver side floor mat! I liked them enough to where when it's time for my next oil change I will have to heavily consider going to my regular (and a little cheaper) place or go back to QuikTech because I was so pleased with their service read more

Called ahead of time to schedule an appointment. A specifically TimeWise for the information on what needs to be done with allocating for diagnostics if it needs more. Showed up blocked out 4 hours so I can sit there let them do what they do and if it needs longer time so I can properly schedule for more. Came in and told me that the old change in inspection was done I said what about the diagnostic? everybody there was courteous and professional until this one man came out he rolled his eyes several times with cut me off in mid-sentence I explained to him that this irritation is leading off to me being pissed off and he's just telling me to leave I'm being trespassed he was very rude very obnoxious saying he's going to call the cops. The manager came out deescalated it and spoke with me. I would like to give a better review to everybody else there because I think they did a wonderful job. However, due to that one man I cannot do that. I do not recommend this place unless they do something about him. read more

I always get my oil changed here and have never had issues. Staff is always nice. We don't have much competition here in Hampstead but I find prices better here. Even with a crowd, they got it done quick. read more

I give this place 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Same day, took 2 vehicles there to get inspected. Both were declined.... unless I spent more $$$. The car they declined b/c of tinted windows, which we didn't tint and we've owned that car for 6 years and have never been turned down for an inspection. The truck was denied b/c of a small crack in the tail light cover. The tail light worked but they wanted $150 to replace the cover. I took both of these vehicles to Valvoline in PN and they both passed inspection on the same day, no questions asked. This place is a RIP OFF. read more

My daughter in law went to Quik Tech this morning to get her oil changed and she got there at 8:05. She knew she was early and was willing to wait till they opened. As she pulled up she noticed someone walking to the doors. She thinks ok good they are opening the doors. Instead she gets out of her car and walks to the doors and they went and locked them instead. Obviously taken back she decided to go somewhere else. Once she told me about this experience I was shocked as I have been going here for over 8 years along with my boyfriend and son all with good experiences. I then called and spoke to Brandon who after I told him the story. Rudely said to me we are opening at 9 today and hung up the phone. That's all find and good however I think someone could have opened the door to let her know of the hour change. Sadly, the 4 of us will all be taking our business to Valvoline in Porter's Neck. read more

Terrible place, if I could give no stars I would. Had a flat at work, changed tire and drove to this place. No other customers (looking back this should have been a hint). Took about 30 minutes to fix flat, balance tire and put back on vehicle. Cost $21, reasonable price. Driving down road notice slight vibration from rear, thought it was rough road till we reached highway speed, vibrating was intense, drove straight to dealership, they discovered the tire had not been properly balanced, not even close. Took two days to finally get manager on the phone, he then tried to blame me for not bringing vehicle back (I felt it was unsafe to go all the way back) then tried to blame dealership. No offer to refund money, very sarcastic. Will never go back, advising colleagues to avoid place, filing complaint with proper agencies. read more

I will go back again. Its a first come first served facility with 3 bays to pull into. I showed up with 4 brand new tires to be mounted and balanced. I was 2nd in line. I got in quickly the work was done properly and quickly also. I looked at their pricing for services such as AC, transmission fluid, radiator flush and they seemed very competitive. I was also given 10% military, veteran discount. I would have given 5 stars but one of the guys seemed to have a bit of an attitude because the trunk would not open right away, it was valet locked in glove box and he was complaining about the lug nut covers were not installed properly and he did not want to be responsible for breaking them. They were fine, he just seemed grumpy and he needs to keep that away from the customers. read more

Less than average experience. I went for an inspection and not one staff member bothered to make eye contact with me or ask me why I was there. I'd never been there before so I waved a young guy down from the big garage area and he asked me to leave my car where it was and go inside without so much as a "please" or a "thank you" (he was very abrupt and seemed bothered that I was there). When it was time to check out, again - no eye contact, no comment other than to tell me how much I owed them. Everybody in the waiting area (myself, a gentleman, and two elderly ladies) all got the silent treatment. Definitely NOT a friendly crew but they got the job done. I'm giving them one star because they were very unfriendly and seemed bothered that they had to be there working. read more

This shop makes up their own procedures. I recently had them change the oil and rotate the tires on both of my vehicles. My receipt didn't show what they torqued my wheels to after they rotated them. When I asked about it they said they torqued them to 70 ft lbs. It seemed low but they were quick to tell me that their ASE certified mechanic said it was ok. When I got home I looked in the owners manual to see what the manufacturer recommends. One was 80 ft lbs and the other was 100 ft lbs. I called them and explained the screw up I was told they use an impact set to 100 ft lbs and then double check with a torque wrench set at 70. So pretty much they either over torqued or under torqued my wheels and think it is ok to deviate from what the manufacturer says so they can get you in and out as fast as possible. read more

I'm very disappointed in this place. I've been coming here for years, never a problem. I came in to get my brakes replaced a month ago saying the noise was coming specifically from the front and were great after that. The last few days it had been doing the same thing it did before getting them replaced. I came in this morning explaining the problem to tell me they had only replaced the back brakes. My grandfather who knows more about what's going on with the car than I came up to talk to the techs about the situation. He just questioned why they had not done all of the breaks, and the owner Dan, was unbelievably rude. We knew it would be expensive, but the car needed it. He kept on about how ridiculous that was and how we had questioned his work. My grandfather left, and as I was waiting for my car to be taken off the lift, Dan the owner, went out of his way to make sure I heard him saying awful things about my grandfather and saying what an idiot he was and just being flat out mean. I asked him politely if he would stop talking about him like that with me right there. He starts yelling at me and saying he gave us a great deal and how we're this and that. My family and I will not be coming back here and telling by all of the reviews on this place we should have stopped a long time ago. It's surprising this guy even has a business left. Everyone else that works here is kind and knows what they are doing, Dan has no business owning a business. read more

The quick version is they closed early while they had my car and knew i was on my way to pick it up. I got there before when they told me they'd be there until and they were already gone causing my family an incredible inconvenience. The detailed version is this: I had the worst customer service experience here this morning. I brought my pilot in for its 100k mile maintenance. When I called to schedule the appointment one older gentleman guessed it'd be about $750 but told me not to quote him on it. While they had my car they called and said it'd be $1150 and we gave them the go ahead to work on it. When they called my husband at work to say our car was ready for pick up my husband said we would be there before closing and double checked that they closed at 6pm, they said yes. When we showed up last night to get our car, 10 minutes before 6pm, they were already closed with no one in sight for miles. We called and called with no luck of an answer. Most times this wouldn't be such a big deal, but in our case with what we had planned for our family this weekend it was a real big deal. When we showed up this morning to get our car, I spoke with the manager and politely told him we tried to get our car last night but they closed early without letting us know even when they knew we were coming, and to say he was unapologetic in the least is an understatement. I am still dumbfounded for how he treat me. I was trying to get him to understand the simplicity in the situation which was: they had my car, knew I was coming by 6pm to pick it up, chose to close early, and didn't call to let us know so that we could arrange to still pick up our car. He refused to understand my point or that they did anything wrong at all. He refused to admit that closing early caused my family great inconvenience. Even the owner came in at one point and almost laughed that I had the nerve to complain that they weren't open when they said they were going to be. It might sound simple but we had very big weekend plans that we couldn't get back because they chose to close early without letting us know and when we let them know this, the way the treated me was just so so unprofessional and inexcusable. I wanted an apology at the least and what I got was laughed at, mocked, accused of "just wanting discounts" and more. I'm truly still mind blown. It will be a very easy decision to never go here again. read more

Been going to QuikTech since 2010 for oil changes and yearly inspections . Always quick,courteous and fair. Stopped by 1/2/2016 to see when could get water pump changed , they pulled it in to make sure that was the problem I asked how long and how much . They said an hour and half and less than 150$'s , so said yes . Could not be more pleased , they accomplished job as quoted. Very friendly and efficient as usual , like the music they have on as well. They were busy , always are but no one there very long and all seemed as pleased as me read more

Very rude staff. There are far better automotive shops that have friendly staffs so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Quicktech on 17 has the rudest/ worst customer service I have dealt with in my life. I attempted to get an inspection once pulling up to the bay, only to have one of the young workers mouth something smart, roll his eyes, and shake his head. I then asked the other worker what his problem was and he states not to pull in the bay, which I hadn't. He was ride as well. I informed him that I just came for inspection but to not worry about it. He stated that he wasnt worried about it anyway And walked away. I then decided to leave because I now didn't want them handling my truck after them being upset they had to work today. The first young guy then comes out of the bay, stares me down and crosses his arms. I asked if he has a problem and he became irate and stated that I had no business pulling into the bay, which I hadn't. I then explained how they might not want the workers motioning for the vehicle to pull up to bay if that's not what they wanted. Now, an older bald headed individual with a northern accent comes out and confronts me, with comments, that get me to the point that I had to leave to keep from boiling over and jeopardizing my career. He told me that I could take my business elsewhere because they were super busy, I could tell with 2 of 3 bays empty. He then states " Yeah, be a hero," and throws his hands up. Just a thought when considering this place for any of your vehicle needs. Choose wisely! read more
