Charlie and Travis just left a couple minutes ago after installing a QuietCool fan in our house and I have to admit... IT'S AWESOME!!! Called them up on Monday and they were out here on Thursday. He was able to get some basic info from me and gave me a quote over the phone. He said they would come out to make sure my house was suitable for the fan and if so they could install it right then. Charlie and Travis were right on time, took a quick look in my attic and started the install immediately as promised. It took about an hour and a half (about 30 minutes longer than usual) but that's because I have a 1950's house that is all plaster inside so it took a little extra time to get all the holes cut properly. The finished product is seamless and the fan works perfectly. Sitting in front of a cracked window right now. Love feeling the steady breeze cool the house. Charlie and Travis couldn't have been any nicer / more professional! They took their time to do the work right and explain to me how I can get the most out of the fan. Just an update, 2 years later, my whole house fan is going strong.. A whole house fan is like tearing the roof off of your house, and letting all of the hot air out.... This last week, the mid day temps were in the 90's.. I was able to run the fan early in the morning, filling my house and attic with cool early morning air. Then I close up my house, and it keeps it cool through the heat of the day... My electric bill has gone down over the years as I use a lot less AC during the heat of the summer... read more

After doing a lot of research on whole house fans, I used Yelp to send out for quotes. Drew, the owner of Whole House Fan Experts gave me a quote of $1,245 for the Trident Pro 3.3 Contractor Grade Whole House Fan, 1-Electric 8 Hour Timer, and 1-Hi/Low Switch fully installed. The unit also comes with a 15 year manufacturers warranty and a 1 year warranty on labor and accessories. After getting an initial quote of $2,700 from another company, Drew's offer was too good to be true and, the unit he offered was much better than the one I had chosen based on my own research, that I decided to go through with it. The techs (Travis and Albert) arrived within the scheduled time frame. They were friendly, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after the install. Installers who can multi-task by answering ALL my questions while doing the install and who allow me to be in their work space to take pics to post to Yelp, get a double high five in my book! After the install, they explained how to work the fan, gave me a quick demo and instruction, handed me a folder with Operating Instructions, an Owner's Guide, and a business card, invoiced me out, and headed off to their next job. BEST investment that I've paid out on my townhome to date... No more fans in the windows to try and cool the house down and no more drooling on my nice clean floors by my dogs because the house is too hot! And, being SUPER practical with my finances, this fan is far more cost effective than air conditioning. So far so good. Just had two fans installed yesterday. One for House, separate smaller fan in Master bedroom. Turned it on last night, and what a difference!! Feels like a different house. Typically, the master bedroom and "Bonus room" run about 10-15 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. This morning, both felt as cool as the back of the pillow. Should have done this a year ago! Installation was quick and relatively painless. Sonny and crew were friendly and efficient. I will update as time goes on, but I am very happy. About a year later. Still love the fans. Since we both work, we are rarely home during the day. When we get home, we simply open a few windows and suck the cool air in and the hot air out. Still love my Quiet Cool fans. 6/5 stars I got a quote for a Trident 7.0, they were competitive with their price so I set up an appointment. Surprisingly they had an opening the next day. Next day they're on time and bring the fan, oh shit it doesn't fit. My attic is too small for the fan based on my sq-ft. So they leave and returned later - same day with a fan that will fit. The install was very fast, three guys knocked it out fast, cleaned up after themselves, and left. There's a reason they have really great Yelp reviews. Drew was quick to get back to me with a quote along with explaining the current specials that they had going on. The price was right so I scheduled them to come out to our place in Livermore. Dave and Chris showed up on-time and were friendly and professional. The protected my things around the attic access with plastic sheeting. After some research in the attic, they explained where they could put the vent. I approved and they had the Stealth PRO 7.0 installed in less than an hour. It has a great finished look. Afterwards, they cleaned up after themselves and explained/demonstrated how it worked. The fan is super quiet and I can't wait to use it in the mornings and evenings. If I knew how easy and painless it would be, I would have done it sooner. I had put a fan up myself in our old house and have been putting off getting one in our current larger home because the old one we had was a bit noisy, albeit effective. Drew help me identify the right size Quite Cool fan for our home, and then scheduled our install two days later. Lyle and Spencer were the two techs who showed up on time to install the fan. Lyle explained to me in advance exactly what they would be doing, confirmed the location of the vent, and then explained how to use the remote control. They also cleaned up after themselves, leaving my house in the same condition as when they arrived. Lyle and Spencer installed the fan a few weeks ago, and we absolutely love it. When the temperature drops in the evening, the fan will drop the temperature in the house to within a couple of degrees of the outside temp. For example, the high temp today outside was 94 and 82 inside. By 9 pm, when we returned from errands and dinner, it was 67 degrees outside. We turned on the fan, and the temp inside dropped by 7 degrees in less than an hour and was at 68 within two hours. We were considering spending 50K to install solar but have decided that the fan, coupled with limited A/C use, is a viable alternative to solar, significantly decreasing our electricity consumption and cost compared to using only A/C only or installing solar. read more

Had our whole house fan installed last week per my colleagues recommendation. Wasn't too thrilled with the service over the phone (sales guy tried to sell us a bigger unit than what we needed); however the installers were very friendly and accommodating. They came with the bigger unit and were nice enough to drive to another distributor to pick up the smaller unit. Install was leas than an hour. We were able to get a discount for paying cash. Overall I'm happy with the performance of the unit so far. Update: I was contacted by Drew regarding my concerns And he insisted that they were not trying to sell a bigger unit to make a bigger sale.
