I mean, at 12am at night, I come in, and time after time the only two people working in the store , are two people making sandwiches who see you, but will not acknowledge you at all until you lose the game you're playing with yourself "guess whose not the sand which person" and one of them comes out because, well I bet they're feeling like a man from Massapequa whose been with the same girlfriend too long, time to meet new people! This is capitalism at its finest; overnight workers who were offered the lucrative deal of an extra 50 cents an hour to work during Dracula's office hours, while the management and owners of Quik Check tell you outright in the name... what's going on. It's a quick check... in their pocket. While they ask insane hours and tasks from barely two workers, and all the while I'm here having to write this... in line mind you, because my fat donkey needs a snickers, a Twinkie, and baby wipes. Fact is, this company invests about the same amount of time and effort into its company as the engineers of the titanic invested time and energy figuring out how many lifeboats were needed. Hey Quik Check, you can't spell and you sure as hell cannot customer service ( see I used it as a verb lol ) Again, I am currently writing this review , in line, and no one has come out to help. And do not think it's the employees fault ( well maybe ) however this place has less staff than the guards watching Jeffery Epstein, and honestly, I should just take everything, no? I mean you walk in, pick out what you want and bobs your uncle. Walk in from the street, wear a face mask, and if you come between the hours of 12am and 12am, you'll have a 90 percent shot of playing who wants free cookies with literally no repercussions. Again, I don't condone stealing, but I'm just waiting for Walter and Jesse to come out the back and put some blood stained 100s in the register because there is no way this place is paying it's bills on gas and slim Jim's alone. I can't remember how many times I've been here, but I'm sure it's a lot This is THE place for any coffee addict in a hurry; they have a rotation of about 8 different seasonal flavors of coffee, plus 8 other flavored creamers. I think my boyfriend always pays with an app or something similarly handy. I like to peruse the snack/sandwich area, if for nothing else but to just drool over cheeses and processed meats that look delicious but I probably shouldn't buy. As gas stations / convenience stores go.........this place is top notch. It just recently opened and it is spotlessly clean. Hopefully it will remain that way. Plenty of gas pumps and parking available........competitive prices. The convenience store is large and we'll maintained. The have a sandwich making operation that's pretty cool. Place your order on a screen and print out a ticket, take to the register and pay and within a few minutes, your sandwich is ready. I've tried a few different sandwiches already and the quality far surpasses Subway. They also have a small seating area with a few tables off to the side. I went into buy a newspaper. The person behind the register sneered and asked me, "Why are you buying this?" and I replied because I wanted the Sunday paper that announced the new president for historical record and prosperity's sake. He was really contemptuous and said "I wouldn't pay $5 for that." Like, wtf? I think it's really inappropriate to shame a costumer for what they buy that way? And also it's just a very normal thing to have keepsakes from historical events? Also, as a young woman talking with a man, I didn't know how safe I was to express myself. Like, if it had to do with politics, and it very much felt that way, when you're on the clock repping your company is not the time to be like that. I've been on the other side of the register in retail and if people are buying things that represent things I disagree with, I mind my business and ring them up. I had high hopes for this place. Workers aren't always the nicest. I usually come in for a pretzel, but last night I came in around 11:30 for a pretzel. The pretzels in the front (about a dozen ) were old and unappetizing. They make so many and I bet they throw most of them out, they need a new solution. Cashier said they were there since before she started her shift around 6 pm. I politely asked for a fresh batch, and after the talk around they finally agreed to make 3 fresh ones. I waited for them, I get them, go home and realize they have been completely covered in salt. So much to the point that they are completely white and inedible. The convenience store is wonderful. Super clean and a great selection of snacks and beverages. They have a make your own type of food bar in the back. It has plenty of choices, from popcorn chicken, to salads, sandwiches, and mac and cheese bites. You can create your own items and customize everything. After submitting the order you pay up front, and then go back for your food. Everything is super cheap! The coffee is cheap and decent considering it is a gas station. I have only one issue where the bread I wanted for my sandwich wasn't in stock. In the confusion of finding me and then having to start my order, the deli clerk forgot the cheese. Not a huge deal, but I'm a cheese lover. Now I always ask if my bread is in before ordering. Otherwise no problems and all of the people in the deli are so nice. Cashiers at the front are very nice! Only issue was one girl took only one customer when there was a line of 5 people and then left. Maybe for her break? But working in retail, I know you should kill the line fast. Stopped by looking for a snack to my surprise they made sandwiches on the spot toasted very good selection of sandwiches and that anytime I showed up about 3 AM and for three dollars can't beat that. My spouse ordered an iced mocha latte. He gets the receipt and goes to pay up front. He then gets the drink and tastes it and notices there is no espresso in the drink. He asks the girl behind the counter. She said the barista was broken so she made him a chocolate milk instead. What this girl did was sheer stupidity. How do you give a customer a chocolate milk making him think it was a mocha latte. He then wanted a refund, so he had to go up front. He could only get $3.00 of his 3.15 because the manager wasn't there. She was supposedly across the street at Mavis picking up her car. Yes it's only 15 cents but we don't want to donate our money to Quick Check. As for the manager being across the street getting her car is unacceptable. You do that on your own time. If you do have to leave the store, leave someone in charge then. This shows all signs of poor management and poorly trained employees. We expected more from Q.C. Just be aware if you are getting an espresso drink, make sure the espesso is in there. read more

I went to Quickchek on Wednesday January 3, 2018 to purchase some ice cream. Quite a few were smashed, but I found something that looked like it was okay. I told the older gentleman who working the register what I had found. He said he had not done his cleanup yet, but would look into it and notify the manager. When I got home at opened the ice cream it was freezer burnt. I went back this evening, January 5th and told the worker. He went and got the manager, Kayla. She went to the ice cream section and pulled something out that looked like it would be in good condition. I invited her to open it. . When she did it was confirmed that the ice cream was indeed freezer burnt. She said there was expiration date on it so there was no way to confirm that the ice cream was bad. I told her that she had looked at bit and saw that it was bad so it didn't matter if there was a date on it or not. She said that she would look in the back to see if they had any more. She came back and said there was not any of that ice cream that I had purchased in stock. I asked her if I could get a refund. She asked me if I had a receipt. I told her that I had not been given one. She said that she couldn't help me because there was no proof that I had purchased it there and that she would need the sky number to confirm that it did in fact come from their store. I asked her why would I go there to complain if I didn't get it there. She still insisted that she couldn't do anything about it. I told her that the worker who was there when I bought it could confirm it. She checked the schedule and said he would not be in until Monday. I asked her if I could speak to the store owner. She said he was not there and that it didn't matter anyway because he would tell me the same thing. I think that she was unprofessional in the way that she handled the situation. Even if she had offered to give me something of the same value I would have been satisfied. But she was totally resistant to doing anything to rectify the situation. She also was not the least bit concerned that I was upset. I think it was a horrible way to deal with a customer. And to say, it effect, that it would not do any good to talk to the owner. Well, that will be my last trip to Quickchek. Not that my shopping there would put them out of business, but I will spend my money 7-11 from now on.
