** WARNING: DO NOT BOOK!! **…read more This company is unprofessional, unresponsive and a complete scam. They will tell you they've booked AND PAID for hotels and activities and then when you arrive...the hotel will have no record of payment, the hotel will then charge YOU for your stay and this company will promise to reimburse you...but won't. Then the joy of disputing charges through your credit card company begin! They will also book activities for you and then you'll arrive...the vendor will have no record of your booking whatsoever!! ScanAm travel (more like ScamAm) added undue stress and anxiety to our trip...and here we are almost 2 months later, still dealing with this headache!! They keep saying "your refund check is in the mail". As if this isn't enough, days before our departure to Norway they fired the travel agent that was handling our account. They never told us, never reached out to us, didn't transition us to a new agent, nothing! We had to find out from the former employee herself after blowing up her phone out of desperation for answers. Completely unprofessional. Tom (the owner) was zero help through the entire process. He couldn't have cared less about us a customer. This company will be out of business soon. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Due to the pandemic, we are unable to travel as is it unsafe. We have not been able to rebook and won't be able to do so for a while as it is unsafe to travel. This is not enough to get my deposit back from them. They have now held my deposit for over a year and refuse to refund us. They are requiring me to get a lawyer to fight them for $1500 that could really help me and my family during this rough time. I will NEVER use a travel agent EVER again after this experience.

We are highly satisfied and have…read morerepeated our use of them and ratcheted up the scope and complexity because we know that Bill & Nancy can handle it and will create for us an extraordinarily educational, fun and highly memorable experience. Our most recent experience was this past December(2021). We took our entire family, all 15 of us, on a trip to the Galapagos islands, Peru and Machu Picchu.  The trip and it's transportation , excursions, guides, hotels and meals was well thought out and well planned. It actually exceeded our expectations, which were NOT low!  We rented an entire boat to accommodate all of us in the Galapagos islands. The boat was comfortable, the crew was capable and friendly, the guide was knowledgeable and helpful and the food was beyond delicious and beautiful!   Being in the Galapagos this way was a magical experience!  We then went to Peru and stayed in Cusco, an historic colonial city, enroute to Machu Picchu. Bill at Classic arranged amazing experiences for us such as rafting on the Urubamba River in Peru, riding to Machu Picchu on the Hiram Bingham train, a former Orient Express train and many other things. The transportation arrangements were flawless, the guides were helpful and knowledgeable. I really don't know what more to say to praise the team at Classic except to say that we have used them before. They earned our selection of them for the trip in December 2021 AND I will be using them again in the future!  In case it is useful for readers to know, Classic planned a remarkable trip for us to Belize for five days each in the mountains and in the shore. They also put together a wonderful trip for us and another couple to Argentina and Brazil. We were in Patagonia, Buenos Aries, Argentina, Iquzu Falls and Rio de Janeiro.  Their commitment to detail combined with their knowledge and resources have been of extraordinary benefit to us. The limo was equipped with blue tooth capabilities so you can play your own music, it had really cool lights, lasers, etc. I would recommend Alps for proms, weddings, airport trips, sweet sixteens, or just a fun night out!

I have never had a problem with them or with their bookings at individual hotels. Until a week ago. This year's Toy Fair is being held in Dallas. I booked 5 rooms at the Embassy Suites there. I needed to cancel a room, so I called them, they gave me the hotel's confirmation number and had me call ES. ES told me that the room that I wanted to cancel had already been charged as a no-show (2 days prior to the arrival). Furthermore, the other 4 rooms weren't showing up in their system. I called TP back and spoke with Selena about my problems. She called ES and figured out the issues. And she fixed them. As in, got our money back for the supposed "no show" and found my other employees in the system. Everything. Selena was polite and well-informed and made sure that I was ok holding for so long. She made sure that my boss and the other employees had the proper confirmation numbers as well. And, I was able to tell my boss everything was ok! Use Travel Planners for trade shows. They're good people with a good business!
