We used rahmaniatravel (Imran) for umrah from March 9 to March 18th 2025 and we had a terrible experience. Since we were informed that the car ride from Mecca to Medina (6+ hours trip in car) might have issues, they had an incident in the past that the car broke down in the middle of the drive. To avoid this we suggested that we get train tickets. Rahmaniatravel (imran) would not allow us to book the train tickets ourselves and over charged us for the train tickets (charged us business class price for economy tickets). The train tickets that they provided for us were on Friday at around 2pm. Which we have no issues with since we are female and are not required to attend jummah prayer. Rahmaniatravel (imran) wanted to change the time for the train to accommodate aynul (the man they gave us as a point of contact who was supposed to take care of us- he did not do his job properly) and rahmaniatravel (imran) charged us an extra $75 USD for the train ticket change even though we did not request any changes, they changed it for they're own benefit and charged us for it unnecessarily.
Aynul did not take care of us. We were often left alone in this new place and we had to figure out how to get by which was very difficult with all the crowds and being in an unfamiliar place (it took us hours at times to find our way all alone). Aynul made us pay for taxis when he had tons of cash in his pocket and transportation is supposed to be covered already for us, so he stole from us. I'm one instance he had the taxi driver drop us off several miles away from our hotel. Making us walk miles while fasting, and as we were walking it was magrib prayer. He did not allow us to pray and break our fast, he was walking a long distance ahead of us and stressed us out as well as made us miss a prayer. My father sent aynul $300 dollars with a $25 dollar tip for him to convert this money and give it to us, he wouldn't give it to us until we mentioned it several times. He didn't give us the entire $300 dollars he shorted us about 20 riyals. On the day we were to take the train to Medina, we told aynul to be prepared to have our taxi ready to pick us up in front of the hotel. He did not do this even with prior notice. He made us walk miles and miles in the hot weather with no warning. We were not prepared for this. We were fasting and pulling our heavy luggage though the hills of the streets for miles as he found a taxi that was "cheap". There was many taxis closer but he ignored them and made us suffer because he wanted to save money. He offered to carry one of my bags and he ran off with it telling me to wait as my aunts caught up. He took my bag with my expensive neck pillow hanging from it and was gone with the taxi driver he found. I was waiting in the sun making sure my older mother and aunt find me since aynul left me since he walks so much a head of us. There was so many available taxis but we were waiting in the heat because the one he chose was parked miles away and took him a long time to come. We were all fasting and burning from the heat. My exposed skin of my feet was sun burning and my face. Once we got to the train station I asked aynul where my neck pillow was, he said it must have fell off as he walked away. He took my property from me and lost an expensive item. Why bother helping if you are going to lose something. That neck pillow was about $65 USD that HE LOST due to his negligence. Without that pillow my long plane ride back to the states was miserable. We had issues with getting to the airport and rahmaniatravel was not responsive to us asking questions. Please do not use this umrah/Hajj service, they will not take care of you, you will have a stressful time and they will steal your money. read more
