We've only ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the atmosphere or dine-in service. Takeout itself has always been smooth, and our orders have generally been ready on time. Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming. I have no doubt the owners know how to make a quality meal, especially given their experience with other restaurants, but there seems to be an ongoing quality-control issue here. The flavors are usually pretty bland and lack the depth I expect from good Thai food. The curry has been extremely thin, the orange chicken was chewy, the portions are small, and the prices feel high for what you're getting. One time I ordered green curry and it was blue. What is happening here? The biggest frustration, though, has been how inconsistent the spice levels are. We regularly order dishes at one star because we're feeding our whole family. Multiple times now, a one-star dish has arrived tasting more like a three- or four-star. I personally love spicy food, so this isn't a complaint that the food is simply too spicy for me. The problem is that when you specifically order mild Pad Thai so your young child can eat it, getting something genuinely hot makes the meal unusable for the person it was ordered for. After this happening repeatedly, it's hard to chalk it up to a one-off mistake. I genuinely want this restaurant to succeed, especially because having a Thai option in La Pine is great. But after giving it quite a few tries, I keep coming away with the same impression: inconsistent food, mediocre flavors, small portions, and prices that don't match the quality or portion size. I walked up to the main entrance only to find the doors locked, with absolutely no sign or notice explaining that the lobby closes earlier or that only the drive-thru remains open. I then walked around to the drive-thru area and saw an employee apparently drinking an alcoholic beverage with another person who seemed to be another employee and had just pulled up in a car. Not exactly what you expect to see at a business that is supposedly still open. Overall, extremely confusing hours, no proper signage, and a very unprofessional impression. Definitely a 1-star experience for me.

Last time I was there, I bought several bottles of mustard because the price was good. After I got home I realized they charged me $1.00 more for each bottle. I called and was told they would refund when I brought reciept. I went back a few hours later, bought 4 more and spent the next half hour trying to get my refund and the 4 more for the price marked. They eventually gave me the credit/price, but treated me like I was the bad guy in all this. Before leaving, I suggested they correct the price so no one else goes through this. Then this time I went in to buy muffins. I took a double take on price because there were 2 different prices for exactly the same muffins. I took photos of both and showed to cashier because, of course the highest price came up on the screen. They still went to go look, even with a line of customers, and came back with exactly what I told/showed them. My cashier verified with another cashier on what price to charge and came up with the higher price. I still bought them, but that wasn't right. Again I suggested they fix the issue, so not to have irritated customers. This is very bad customer service lately and I'm hoping they look into what is causing the issue, besides re-training staff on proper customer service.

I've been on a matcha kick lately so I ordered a matcha latte rather than coffee. I didn't have to wait long before my iced almond milk matcha was ready. I definitely enjoyed it, although I will say that it's not the best matcha I've ever had. It was good though, don't get me wrong. Coffee does seem to be their specialty but I'm glad they have other options for people like me. I took my matcha to go and sipped it as I walked around the rest of the Sunriver shopping center.
