However, the two times I've ventured into this store when checking out the women at the register was extremely rude. I have no idea what was going on. She through my groceries as she was handling them and I packed them. Handed me my receipt with no thank you...nothing. As she greeted the next customer I said, thank you. She ignored it. I run a business in the area and this behavior is not acceptable. I have reservations to recommend this place anymore.

There's only one register open at all times so sometimes a line goes all the way to the back of the store for checkout. There's a total of 3 workers there. One stocks shelves, one on the register and what looks like a manager who walks around the store thinking it looks good. There's freezers and fridges leaking water into the aisles. The only good thing I saw was that they had a wet floor sign up. I can't speak on the meat section because I wouldn't even think to buy meats from here. There's piles of dirt and garbage with brooms blocking some aisles. Overall I'm not sure how the health dept hasn't seen any red flags out of this place. It's a shame because it's located in a nice area.

I happened to be in the upper Bergen County area & had some time to kill. The set back here that was quite surprising was the employees were super rude. I can't say I've ever had this experience in the Trader Joe's in Wayne or Clifton. I can't say it will stop me from visiting again,, however I won't be asking anyone for help. They should not be treating customers this way. I encountered two employees who had no etiquette.

When it's time to sell any bags with the limited quantity, they need to relax and still treat the customers the nice way. One day, I didn't know they were selling pastel color mini bags when I went to shop, I didn't need the bags but I knew my friend wanted them so I stopped by the desk to ask what is the limit and I was told 4. And I had to text my friend to see what colors she wanted, but was not able to reach her on time. So I continued to shop and when she finally replied, I went back to the desk and I said one of each color, the gentleman gave me a nasty look with mean voice saying didn't you already come? Limit is 4 so you can't get them. Oh my, chill out man. I explained the whole situation and he reluctantly gave them to me but the voice and look of this man left me a scar that's going to remain and be remembered every time I come to this branch to shop. Why are they so mean and sensitive. I don't care how important it is to give the customer the bags with the limit 4, still customers have to be treated with respect. Other trader joe's branches staffs are so nice even allowing dogs. This isn't the first time I felt unpleasant. There was few ladies by the plant section who are very unpleasant. Last time I brought my hypoallergenic dog to the store to buy milk (bc i cant leave my dog in the car by herself) and the lady came and said to me I must leave .. having the dog in the cart is so unsanitary!!!!! {hello lady, who calls my pet dirty,,, it wasn't like I left my 10 lb dog on the cart, I left dog in her own car seat and left the car seat in the cart. } Anyway, westwood need to improve and be nicer to people ( I do feel like it may be racial discrimination which is against the law in this day and age.)

This past weekend, we had a chance to experience something a little different -- a private event my cousin hosted there for his 30th birthday -- and it was fantastic. The event was a seated, sit-down dinner at the market, which isn't something they typically do, but they executed it really well. The evening started with passed appetizers (all delicious, as expected) and a table full of charcuterie. For dinner, my cousin opted for a seated "steak sampling" experience -- almost Brazilian steakhouse-style -- featuring tastings of five different cuts. There was also shrimp scampi served family-style, along with sides like roasted potatoes. Even with varying preferences for steak doneness across the group, they did an impressive job accommodating everyone. Huge props to the B&M team for pulling off something outside their usual offerings so seamlessly. This was my first time in the market itself, and it looked great -- clearly a great destination for quality meats and prepared foods. If I lived closer, I'd absolutely be a regular and would use them for catering for myself. Looking forward to more events with their food in the future!

Exceptional Catering for Our Dinner!…read more I recently used B&M Market in Park Ridge to cater a Dinner for 10, and I can confidently say they overdelivered on every level. From the ordering process to the presentation to the flavors, everything was absolutely top-notch. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the owner, Jon, who was phenomenal to work with from start to finish. Jon took the time to help me build out the perfect menu, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His responsiveness and attention to detail really set B&M apart, you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in the food his team puts out. We kicked off the night with a fantastic spread of hors d'oeuvres. The sushi platter was fresh and beautifully presented, and the homemade guacamole with warm, crispy tortilla chips was a standout. The apple smoked bacon in honey chipotle sauce disappeared almost instantly; smoky, sweet, and addictive. The spinach & artichoke puffs were flaky and flavorful, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp tasted like something you'd get at a high-end restaurant. For entrees, everything arrived well-seasoned, and perfectly portioned along with serving/heating instructions. The Bell & Evans chicken parmesan in vodka sauce was a crowd favorite, tender, not overly breaded, and the sauce was rich without being heavy. The prime all-natural skirt steak with scallion sauce was the star. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes, 4-cheese baked ziti and the orecchiette with Italian sausage, spinach, and light red sauce, were both excellent and tasted homemade. The Caesar salad, steamed string beans, and cheesy garlic bread rounded out the meal perfectly. Dessert was a refreshing fresh fruit salad, which was a great balance after the hearty main courses. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every single item was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Combined with Jon's personal involvement and guidance, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. If you're hosting an event of any size, B&M Market should be at the top of your list. They helped make our dinner a hit, and I'll absolutely be using them again.
