Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with a company in my life. Poor leadership from ownership down to management. We bought a brand new 24k ac February 2025, six months later they came to do complimentary bi annual cleaning and tune up. The tech sprayed the control board of condenser which lead to it no longer working. He left and when I got home an hour later I noticed it was hotter than what thermostat was set to and air handler wasn't working. I called and after an hour they came back to look at upon which they tried to lie and say the control board must have went bad the same time the tech was fixing it. It wasn't until I called them out the manager said we may have gotten water on the control board of condenser. He had told me they have to order the part and was already approved from warranty and had to be shipped even though they broke it, it wasn't normal wear and tear. I said we have 3 infants and 2 dogs. He offered one rolling unit for us to put in a single room and all have to stay in together 5 people and 2 dogs. I said that was not enough. It wasn't until I told him we have engineered hardwood floors that have to stay between 60-80 degrees that ge said we will go get 3 more rolling units that will equal 7 tons and you currently have 5 ton ac. That was a lie. He is giving me the equivalent of about 2.5 tons. 44,000 btu for 2400sqft. Our house currently stays around 90. When I reached out to him to tell him its only dropping to 90 degrees during the day with other rooms getting hotter He said they have done enough and they will not provide any other accommodations and they have done there part. I have been getting and paying for bi annual maintenance on my newer Trane AC for a few years. My AC stopped getting cold only a few months after one of the last services in 2023. Called Quick and tech said it was low on refrigerant and had to pay to have it recharged. Just received another service ( 8/24) and was told it is low again 2 lbs @ $112.00 per lb. Turns out they don't check for leaks during maintenance or before recharging. They just let it leak and keep charging me for refrigerant. read more

I built a new home last year. The contractor recommended Quick and so we got estimates from them. We got a "basic" Trane unit estimate and a Trane "top of the line" recommended estimate with 2 stage compressor, smart internet thermostat, etc. I opted for the better, more expensive system. $8700.00 installed. Along with the install I was promised a representative would come out and explain the thermostat, as it connects to the internet allowing me to adjust it whenever I wanted. It would also notify me AND Quick if there was ever a malfunction so Quick could be fast and efficient at repairing it. They also would come out and service the unit for free after 1 year to make sure everything was perfect. Well, here we are a year later and I've still not had my thermostat lesson, and expecting a call any day to have my free service call. As we're snowbirds and leaving at the end of the month, and still without my free service that the fancy thermostat should have scheduled, and that their service department should have scheduled, I called them. They have no record of who I am. They don't know my address, they don't know my name or my phone. And they'd be more than happy to come service my unit at their next available appointment on May 8, over a month from now. It appears that it's all about the sale and getting the money. Once your check clears, they forget who you are. One star is too good for them. read more

Absolutely great service!! My heat pump started making strange noises when it was very hot (must be when they like to do this). I called and Miguel was there within an hour and a half, got the problem diagnosed, discussed what need to be done, ordered the part, assured me that the unit would be Ok . 5 months ago my central heating and air conditioning system needed to be replaced. Jay Brille was the salesman and he was Great. The crew was on time very efficient and professional so when my hot water tank took a dump I naturally called Jay at 929-782-3691. I hat to give anybody just one star, and while he was actually little help and DID not diagnose the problem their tech was polite and professional in demeanor. Quick was recommended by another refrigeration company because they are the are the proprietary Trane dealer for the area and they should have all the information, parts, diagnostics, etc for Trane. I called them and their tech did come out the same day. He didn't actually do any work and did NOT diagnose the problem. I suspected the compressor was not starting. He said the compressor was starting and working. It was just shutting off because the condenser coils were dirty. He did not actually try to start the system with the compressor exposed. I asked him how he could tell the compressor was running over the sound of the fan. He said, "It started. Didn't you hear it when I pressed in the contactor?" He also said the motor contactor contacts were a little pitted, but it was working. Well clearly it was working because the fan was kicking on. Duh! The Quick tech was gung-ho to sell us on a cleaning service, and sell us on a replacement contactor, but he never diagnosed the problem, and no service of any kind was done as part of the service call. I can replace a contactor (I build, retrofit, and repair my own CNC machines) and I can do a cleaning, but mostly I was not convinced he had actually diagnosed the problem. I asked him, "Just in case the compressor is bad how much would you charge to replace it?" Over $3000 he said although he never actually gave a specific estimate like he was leaving it open for extras. I could by a complete larger split system for that much money. I'm old school. I took a mail order refrigeration course well over 40 years ago so I could help my dad service the refrigeration equipment in our grocery store when I was growing up. I put my hand on a motor or a compressor to make sure its running if there is a lot of background noise. After the Quick tech left I cleaned the coils, made sure the run cap was good, and tested the motor contactor. It didn't cool. You can tell pretty quick if its working or not by putting your hand on the refrigerant lines. I shut it all back down pulled the fan back off, and did what I should have done the first time. I pressed the motor contactor in with my hand on the compressor. It didn't start. It would make a noise like it was trying to start, but shut off internally in less than a second. It never felt like a running compressor. I called a buddy of mine who has a business that can buy air-conditioning hardware at wholesale and he said, let me come out and look at it with you. Shout out to Shelly Anderson at 5th Ave Refrigeration (5th Avenue Paint). I don't know if Shelly does a lot of refrigeration work, but he knows as much or more than I do. Anyway. we tested everything and gave it another go around and came to the same conclusion. He suggested something I did not know existed. A thing called a hard start kit. Basically you tie a start cap in parallel to the main winding with a current sensing relay to get a hard starting electric motor going. It worked, but the compressor made periodic internal noise. We both kind of knew that was a bandaid patch that would not last. The AC unit worked for one day, but the start cap blew. (no surprise.) I started shopping for a replacement compressor on-line. The most expensive OEM exact replacement I found was about $1250. I found a couple for around $1050. I found several non-OEM units for less that would work. Then I found a company in another state with several OEM exact replacements in stock at a very discounted price. It will be here ina few days. I'll ice the evaporator, and close the valves when it gets here, and call Shelly to do recovery on the small amount of refrigerant that will still be in the compressor, and then top it off after I swap it out. Ultimately Quick Refrigeration was of no use whatsoever. They didn't diagnose a simple problem, but where gungho to schedule additional service that would not have fixed the problem. read more

Ok, so my ac stopped working. I ran outside and noticed the fan had stopped turning. I called Quick Refrigeration. I got the call in before 6:00 PM. $85.00 diagnostic charge. So the guy showed up and diagnosed it was indeed a bad motor. He checked everything and made the recommendation that I would need a whole new unit. This guy was good! He showed me pictures of his kid and told me how much he loved his job. I swear I felt like part of the family. Charge for the motor? $461.00. I went on line and found the same motor for $79.61. Also, he didn't balance it and it wobbles a little. Quick works on commission. The veiled attempt at building trust by showing baby pictures in an effort to sell me an air-conditioner is just aweful. Oh, and I don't need a new ac. The salesman was at my house at 6:30 am. $6,800.00 base price for a new unit. It's hot, but I'm hotter! read more

Company always gives us the go around. Started when we bought a new home AC system from them. We actually had to bug tham and bug them to move the credit application along. Waited two months. Now today we had our first ac service for the AC we purchased from them so included in the price we paid and they tell me the appointment magically got switched to April 19th which is a Tuesday and imposible because my fam and I are never available on Tuesdays so BS! So next available Friday app is now a month out on Friday may 6. Hope it doesn't get magically switched again oh and last time they did not send me a conf text and now they did but I inquired about mode of confirmation so that this doesn't happen again. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! Starting from the very beginning I should have known this company was just trying to take advantage. We bought our house (2015) and noticed that the bedroom was always significantly warmer than the rest of the house, called them and they sent a tech out that said we should have all of the ducts cleaned and then they will balance the air coming from the vents, $900 later and it was done, still warmer in the bedroom but whatever. A couple of days later a tech came out for the biannual PM, he said my ducts were dirty and needed to be cleaned.....yeah ok sure buddy. On May 22nd our AC went out and the tech said a new fan motor control board was needed, I paid $400 for the part, it is now July 30th and I still never received it. I called several times to get an update and they always just said the part hadn't came in yet and they would call. July 29th (yesterday) my AC went out again. Called them, they showed up and told me the fan motor was bad and it would cost $2,000 to replace, and I should consider getting a new unit. Once again they said they would call in the morning for an official quote....never did. I have had enough so I decided to call another company (Fleshers) and they came out and replaced the fan motor for $700 on the same day. read more

I had my air conditioner replaced in May of 2019 and they did a great job. I had been replacing parts on my old system for years and it was costing me a fortune in maintenance and power bills. When the sales guy gave me my options I opted for blowing in extra insulation in the attic and getting the newer energy efficient AC unit that came with an APS rebate. I love the WiFi thermostat that enables me to keep an eye on my usage and adjust the settings from wherever I am. So far my power bill has been have of what it was last summer and this new unit is so quiet you can barley even hear it from outside and it blows cold air. I have a few friends that have also had Quick install these systems in the past few months and they are also very happy. The attention to detail was first hand and they coordinated with the roofers so everything was done right the first time. Arrived home to find both A/C units not working. After resetting the breaker one unit turned on the other failed to fire up. We were told on the phone a weekend call for service on two units was $128. Two hours later technician arrives and opens non operational unit. Replaces a $20 dollar capacitor and charges $91 for the new one. Comes inside checks temps and says we need freon in the other unit, but it will cost us another $128 to touch the other unit. Plus freon cost. Offered to come back during the week, charge us $80 bucks to look at the other unit, plus cost for freon. Or during that visit he could charge us over $110 to look at it, and use my hose to wash the coils. Then he offered to sell me a $300 dollar annual checkup policy, where he would only charge me $70 per visit. What a deal. I recommend for simple repair and maintenance, just Google a how to video and go to the hardware store. Other than the up sell, wait, misrepresentation on service call cost, and the price gauge on the part, the tech was friendly. read more

Arrived quickly to my house to fix my a/c. After about 45 minutes I was told it was an older unit and not worth fixing (got it in 2000). Highly "recommended a brand new worry free unit by the technician. Got a second opinion and thank god i did! For $275 had my unit serviced, and a new part was put in. A/c has been working with no problems since I had an other company fix it. The tech was friendly however I've heard this company works off commission therefore pushes newer units. We have been customers for over 10 years. As of today we will be looking for a new company to do business with. We had our AC yearly service done in 09/16, paid the technician at the time of service and received a receipt. OVER A YEAR later they are threatening to send us to collections because they claim we never paid in 09/16. SERIOUSLY where have you been in over a year? If we didn't pay you should have notified us immediately! The office staff needs customer service classes and the manager who is in the office needs to learn how to treat people with respect. He was anything but caring. Word of mouth can destroy a company, a irate customer is your worst enemy and we will make sure we tell everyone we know how we were treated by this company. After 10 years of being a loyal customer, so disappointing. BUYER BEWARE WHEN DEALING WITH THE OFFICE STAFF! The technicians have been good other then trying to sell us a part we didn't need. And to think we will be needing to replace our unit soon and they would have been the company we turned to but now they have lost our business and the sale of a new unit. read more

I should have known this was going to be a bad experience when the quick refrigeration employee started the phone call by complaining about customers calling and having to talk to customers. Also he was having such a hard time breathing, it sounded like he was drooling all over the phone, very unpleasant man to have answering phones. Quick installed the complete a/c system on my house when it was built brand new. I always had a problem when it is very humid, if I turn the a/c lower than 78, water would drip from around a speaker in the ceiling. This year with someone being home all day, the a/c is on a lot more. The problem got worse and started dripping from different places on the ceiling, damaging the ceiling badly. I had another company look at it. The found a few problems. 1...quick installed the evaporator backwards. When it's humid then moisture would get flung in to the ducts instead of draining. Because it was installed backwards there was a huge gap on the duct with cold air leaking in to the attic. Also the left the drain very loose, the water that was trying to drain out was leaking at the drain connection. He said I should have not called another company and they did not know what they where talking back. After arguing with me he finally admitted that the gap should not be there and the drain should have been tight. He argued that someone else must have done all that without me knowing. After being very rude and arguing with me, I asked him if they wanted to come look at it he said the only way they will is to charge me. This guy was horrible to deal with, cusing and yelling instead of talking like a professional. I strongly urge people not to use quick. They do not stand behind there work. made an appointment for what i tried to be very clear about, i knew the unit needed serviced and i was asking for that, a through inspection, and then a estimate for anything that would make the unit more efficient. i was out of town during the appointment but my wife was available. the unit was inspected with a " something is leaking oil but i don't have a tool to look at it " "and its low on coolant", the estimate was unsure of why a single room is so hot at night when the house is cooled (what we were looking to get fixed) and an estimate was left that noted nothing specific but a wifi thermostat, air scrubber, etc totaling 1500 dollars ish but the quote only listed 1200. when i returned i called the company and asked why was the tool never retrieved or a follow up to find the "leaky thing" that he didn't have the tool for (during a "through" inspection) and was informed than that the coolant wasn't even serviced! they had no idea why the items on the quote didn't add up correctly to the quote total, I was informed that i would be contacted very soon for appointment to "find the leak" and service the unit, the call never came, and now 2 weeks later my AC unit isn't working and its 85 in my house as i try to attempt this whole cycle again with a new company, this company is incompetent, misleading, and a complete waste of effort. 139 dollars for absolutely nothing. disgraceful. read more
