Ive been wanting to try this place for a while, I follow them on IG it's Black owned and by my house. So I've just came in here to order but so far I'm going to say the service isn't friendly at all. The menu is a small faded sticker taped to the counter and they have specials printed out around the register. I ordered two burger specials at 12.00 each. I added bacon to one and one was just a hamburger. I asked the burgers well done, and she interrupted me to say they make all their burgers well done. ( when I got my burger it was pink inside so not well done- seasoning was also very light and worse the bun was soggy on the sides and bottom which is an ick for me personally) I asked for the fries to be crispy- and they were not, they were actually soft and for me inedible because I hate soft fries. She was adamant we could only choose a Shasta drink ( I chose tiki punch) lol which was probably the best part of the meal. If the service was friendly, I wouldve probably come back and tried other things like the tacos but I think I'm cool on quick n split. I really wanted to love it but 30.00 dollars for my food to not be made correctly and for you not to be friendly is wild. The food is past amazing, it's mouth watering. The cupcakes that are hand made in the back by this other woman OMG I've never had in my life such a flavorful cupcake. From the icing, to middle of the cupcake, down to the crumb hit the spot every time. $4 per cupcake so worth it Do not go there if you're on a diet tho. The service ehhh it can and needs to be improved alot. The woman that takes the orders majority of the time is the owner. It's not welcoming and if you're new to this place or somewhat undecided or even if you have a question of what comes on this or that TRUST you will feel the unpleasant and rude vibes. This was my first time coming to this location so I was curious about the food and they did not disappoint I got a double quick and split burger with pastrami and an egg. The meat on the burger was seasoned good and the pastrami was ok the lady that suggested I get this burger was on the money I was full but not stuffed full to the point where I was ready to go to sleep and that gave me room for the 2 turkey tacos I got. The tacos was the icing on the cake they were just like homemade tacos but better very tasty and the hot sauce wasn't too bad my only complaint was the wait time but the have a sign posted up to a 45 minute wait luckily my order didn't take that long, and other complaint was it was hard to find I drove right past it. I'm very familiar with the area but the new area really doesn't say where they are I had to call and luckily the answering machine said they were right next to Winchells and when I got there I see why I drove past it as busy as Crenshaw is you really don't have time to look for the address especially if you're driving alone like a was, and they have 2 businesses instead of one with nothing that stands out to say we are located HERE. And when you go inside unless you are walking down the street you would have a hard time because like I said there is nothing that stands out the only thing that stands out is the food and now that I know where they are I will be back. read more

A taste of nostalgia. I grew up on Quick 'N Spilt in the 70s. That turkey burger , fries and homemade vanilla ice cream took me back! It is located inside the cupcake shop, next door to the donut shop. Parking is not great. There were a lot of cars in the lot even though the locale only had a few people inside. Where do I start! I wish there was a choice for no stars. I should've turned around after I entered and there was NO visible menu and a bunch of boxes were in the front of the storefront. I ordered a cheeseburger combo and it's a strawberry milkshake m. I specifically requested NO mustard. It took 50 minutes for a burger and fries and when I got my order the burger had extra mustard. I expressed to the cashier my order was wrong and she went to tell her manager. This lady (the manager) comes out of the back breastfeeding a child (unsanitary ) didn't acknowledge me or their error. All that was said is "you'll receive a refund on 3-5 days". I wanted to support a childhood burger spot I grew up on but after this experience I will NEVER support this small business! I just left this place and hurried home to write a review. Let me start by listing all the negitive things there: 1. No menu posted to see what and how much items are, only a small card at the counter that you have to wait for someone to move to read it. 2. I waited for almost 40 minutes for my food to arrived, when I stated that I wanted my money back because of the wait. I was shown a sign posted (hand written and almost unreadable) that said orders may take 45 minutes or longer. 3. The young person behind the counter went on to say that if I didn't like it (the wait ) don't come back. What business anywhere says this! 4. I ordered an cheese burger and a couple of taco's, both were not good. 5 I hate it when you order an cheese burger and look at the receipt that they charge you for the cheese 6. This place is really neat, like the wonderful staff told me, "they do it all". I walked in slightly confused thinking i stumbled into a bakery. But it's more than that, they also have burgers, shakes, fries and tacos. I got the lip dripper taco which comes with ground beef and pastrami. Honest the taco was surprisingly tasty and my favorite item. The vanilla milkshake was delicious and made out of real ice cream. That milkshake rocked my taste buds. Make sure to try the chili cheese fries and the turkey burger. I like that they were playing 90's r&b inside while waiting for our food. My friend got the pastrami sandwich and she said that she really enjoyed it. We didn't try the cupcakes but they did look delicious and they also make fruit arrangements as well. Had to find quick & split while in la since it wasn't on Crenshaw and Slauson anymore. AnyWho, when you go to the restaurant it's only a cupcake on a blue building so from the back so you're unsure if it's quick and split unless you're entering from the chrenshaw side. There was no menu for the burgers, fries, combos or nothing just cupcakes and a glass case but they did have one sign with a combo you get a cupcake a double quicksplit burger and ice cream and a soda for $20 me and my BFF got that OMG the burger was delicious & seasoned to a perfection kind of too big, the french fries were good when they first came out the bag but immediately. got cold and disgusting. The banana cupcake was what their advertising heavily. was dry and not appetizing. I don't suggest this. The food was not all that great to me. Heard a lot of hype about this place but it was just decent. Love that they have Turkey as a option for sure. The service was nice the lady at the cashier was very sweet. But it took forever for the food to get ready, and when it was finally done, it was cold. Maybe it was a bad day which we always get, but i don't like cold food. It's a small quaint place inside where they sell cupcakes as well. You cannot really tell if quick n' split is located there. Maybe more signs could help though. Overall, if the food was fresh and hot and not taking forever, I would be pleased! I'm not sure if I would be back but if I do I will make sure the food is fresh and hot. Also, The parking is in the back so it's easy to find parking. read more

welp.. definitely not the OG QnS on Lacienega back n the day!! my friend wanted to try the ice cream (as they remembered it) and that wasnt gonna happen this time around.. it had hints of what it used to be.. the food too, but in a nutshell.. I wont be back not even if it was free.. its overpriced.. inside a cupcake shop .. long wait in a uncomfortable waiting area outside after you order inside.. i wish I would have went somewhere else and saved our $50 yes $50 for two burgers one large fry and a can of shasta soda..and a few cupcakes that I also regret.
