They offer a year-round menu along with seasonal specials; however, it seems there's a small gap during menu transitions, so I'd recommend calling ahead to see what's available before your visit. I missed the chance to try their seasonal menu, but I opted for a Mocha Latte, a Vanilla Bean Latte, and a Honey Drop Latte. The Mocha was definitely the favorite! They also have a nice variety of pastries, as well as some grab-and-go fruits and snacks. One small tip: make sure to scan the wall for the food menu. It isn't posted on the main board or at the counter, so we actually missed it at first since it was toward the back wall. The pastries are at the front so we ended up getting a spinach and feta pastry. Overall, it's a solid spot to check out if you're in the area!

This was my second visit, and once again, everyone was incredibly patient and nice. The atmosphere is bright yet cozy, they have plenty of books and a lot of room to catch up with friends or settle in for some work. This time around, we tried the Coco Cloud Matcha. If you enjoy fun and funky beverages, this is a must; it's a blend of coconut water and matcha that somehow tastes sweet and milky while remaining both rich and refreshing. I'm not sure how they pull it off, but I'm obsessed! If you prefer a more traditional option, the Strawberry Matcha is a decadent choice, I love that you can actually taste the fresh strawberry compote. We also had the Tres Leches Coffee, which featured a perfect balance of creaminess and bold espresso notes. We ordered it hot this time, and while I personally find it ideal iced, it's wonderful that it works so well both ways. For treats, we chose the Dulce de Leche cake. While the sponge wasn't quite as moist as I expected, the overall flavor was superb, especially with the addition of the meringue. To balance the sweetness with something salty, we added a savory spinach and feta pastry. Definitely ask for it to be heated for the best experience! Not pictured, but equally noteworthy, were the empanadas. They offer both beef and chicken, served with a delicious green cilantro sauce. Whether you need a quick caffeine stop or a productive place to get some work done, Jackie's Sweets is the place to be!

We tried both the original and the pineapple versions, and they were incredibly well done--perfectly moist, flavorful, and balanced without being overly sweet. The hospitality of the owner made the experience even better. The environment was warm, welcoming, and really pleasant. I went with a friend, and we ended up staying a bit longer because it's just a great space to relax. We also had coffee, and I highly recommend the mocha latte--smooth, rich, and the perfect complement to the cake. There are so many tempting choices, and overall it's just a great place to visit. Especially during the winter months, this is a cozy spot to hang out, enjoy great desserts, and feel welcomed. Highly recommend Jackie's Sweets.

They have a large selection of fresh baked goods. They also prepare tamales and sandwiches. I sampled the marble pound cake, the pineapple cake, the coconut carrot cake, and the sweet croissants. They have a large display of breads in the display case, but I am not familiar with the names. With the exception of corn bread, the breads looked to have a Spanish background, I also inferred this from the patrons and the spanish newspapers neatly stacked in a corner. I tried to ask what the name of one particular bread was which looked like an "ensaymada", but the attendant was not sure either. Nonetheless I tried it. It was interesting, it had a star anis flavor along with what looked to be black sesame seeds. Nonetheless the place has a neighborhood charm all its own and its a nice place to stop by if you are in Plainfield, on a cold, snowy, day to have a coffee and pastry.

It's located in a strip mall with tons of parking spots. The barista was friendly and quickly took my order, but since he was working alone, it took quite a while to get my drink and bites. I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind waiting. We were also entertained by some outside salon drama between two ladies. Hopefully they were able to work things out. As a Matcha aficionado, I wanted to try their honey pistachio Matcha. I also ordered some mozzarella sticks and a Cortado for my husband. My drink was a tad too sweet (too much pistachio syrup), but I still liked it. Mozzarella sticks were fine. I paid about $21 for everything including tip. I like the be kind messages on the cups and the black aesthetic was pretty cool. I wouldn't mind returning to this coffee shop as it was a pleasant drive from my house. I'd like to try some other pastries and definitely will have another matcha, but will request light on the syrup!

The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. Patria Station Café is a great spot for authentic flavors, big portions, and a pleasant, laid-back experience.
