Quick Chek!!! My entire family loves this Quick Chek. My brother and I often walk from home to this location. Their soups are the best, the people behind the deli counter always make such fresh food. We stop at Quick Chek also to load up on food supplies for our hiking trips. A couple days ago we went to Fitzgerald Falls only a few miles away, part of the Appalachian trail. We got salads, sandwiches, and sides; all incredibly fresh and delicious. My husband loves the Champ sandwich and my brother loves the Italian sandwich w/ loads of banana peppers. The drink "Grizzly Energy" clearly says 2/5$ on the sign in front of the cooler. When I told the cashier that, she said that it's not 5$, it's $6.19. If you don't care about the job, don't work here. Unbelievably unprofessional, it's a wonder homeless people live on the property. Your horrible, utterly disgusting attitude could have been left at the house before you arrived for your morning shift. How do you think you're that important to tell the paying customer what the price is, when the relevant signage says otherwise? Also, every single employee is hanging out on the Deli/snack counter, and it took nearly 5 minutes to get someone to slowly walk over to the counter. Is taking bills, and providing coins properly too much to ask? Literally zero positive attitudes on this shift. Due to the principle of literally robbing me, I'm going to have to notify corporate Quickcheck. This entire incident occurred at 05:41 on Sunday, June 14th, 2025. Ridiculously unprofessional, employees couldn't care any less about customers, and they purposely walk as slow as humanly possible, to emphasize the fact that they don't want to help you under any circumstances. Quickcheck just hires anybody??? These people are handling money......... among other things.... Absolute insanity. I've never experienced anything quite like that in any store in upstate New York. This is more typical of a Bronx, Brooklyn corner store attitude.. There's a Cumberland Farms down the road, which possesses a cleaner facility, and MUCH nicer employees. Additionally, there is a Sunoco station further down Route 17, near shoprite, with awesome employees and cheaper things (they don't force customers to pay a higher than listed price). Unfriendly staff. Fuel pumps are always going through maintenance. They just recently purchased new fuel pumps. They are very slow processing your card. Seems like I'm always waiting to fuel my car. Even with the new pumps, as of 1/27/25, 5 of them are not in order. I'm gonna start going to Cumberland down the street. read more

What happen to the fresh coffee? This is the third occasion I've come and the coffee is old and burnt. There was clearly a lady there, who looked very motivated with life, enough not to replace the coffee nor replenish the ice coffee. It went from the A Team to not so great squad. I am probably over reacting but when I was in the rest room in the quickcheck I noticed a vent in the ceiling over both bathroom stalls and behind it I saw this blue light which looked very unusual. Told the guy at the counter and he said it might be the smoke detector. But I think that's a strange place for a smoke detector. Ladies be cautious. This place is terrible. It never fails there always out of something from coffee to Ketchup. Its always something with this place. The staff is spread thin and nobody is ever around for help. I think it's hilarious that a gas station makes a better sandwich than an actual sandwich chain like Subway, not to mention a lot cheaper as well. Literally everything you could ask for in a convenience store/gas station. The other food/snacks for example the soup is very good almost all the time and the coffee is also quite alright. The staff at any of the locations is usually very respectful and can hold a conversation without disrupting business flow. The gas prices at quick Chek are always a little bit cheaper compared to other gas stations very close by. Definitely a good gas station. read more

Overpriced, overcrowded, and unfriendly. Not to mention an awkward vibe. You cannot turn left out of the parking lot. Whoever designed this place was in it for the big $$$$$ as they certainly took the money and ran. Poorly planned in termed of location--try to enter and exit this place--it's an exercise in futility. You have to drive up and down a ramp and make THREE left hand turns to get back onto 17-m towards Monroe. Now is that nuts, or what??? Built in a hurry, and without concern for the welfare of the local community. Prepaid on one gas pump, but quickly had to change pumps. Told manager that I had prepaid $50 on the wrong pump--I had to really fight to get my gas as she (literally) accused me of coming up to the pump and taking gas. Held my money hostage while I had to fight tooth and nail to get my gas. NEVER AGAIN. Goodbye. read more

This was my usual spot to fill up with gas since it seems to be the cheapest in the area. I went in today to fill up and buy some syrup for pancakes. Pump 12 wasn't working quite right, every time I squeezed the handle it would stop. I probably should have moved to another pump, BUT I have had this issue before at another gas station and it still did the job- I would just hold the handle mid way and it was fine. So, 3 gallons in and the gas starts spurting out spilling all over my car and on their floor. I go inside to tell the cashier and she calls someone else out about it- she finally makes an appearance after 10 minutes. She looks at me and asks if I spilled it, I say yes, She rolls her eyes at me and tells me with attitude to move my car. Really? Your pump is broken and you're giving me attitude? Last time I ever buy anything from there. They don't need my business. That was uncalled for, and I was trying to not let it happen to someone else. read more

He is back, things will change I promise, I live in Harriman, I only go there when Brian was gone at night when Dennis is there,. He is another person they can not afford to loose! I have been an avid quick check customer since it's been open here in Monroe. I can honestly say I'm absolutely disgusted and flabbergasted at the disrespect I witnessed at the Monroe quick check this past week. My good friend decided to try the coffee from quick check and wasn't sure which flavor he wanted. He poured MAYBE a centimeter of coffee into a cup to try it, decided he did not want any, and threw the cup away. When he was ready to check out with some other snacks and a slushee, the manager on duty told a cashier to charge him for the coffee. My friend kindly explained that he didn't drink it and to check the garbage. The manager caused a scene and forced the cashier to charge my friend $1.89 for a sip of coffee. They yelled at my friend and threatened him over a sip of a drink. The manager was off duty and screamed at my friend in the parking lot asking "if he had a problem". This was extremely unprofessional and downright rude. I'm sorry to say that once my friends and I have a bad experience somewhere, we ALL avoid it at all costs. I'm definitely a big fan of this Quick Chek in Monroe! Besides the hours easily accommodating anyone looking for food at all hours, the staff is courteous and informative. They offer tons of coupons and specialty deals like "happy hour" for half price drinks on their already lower prices. The only thing I see as a downside are their hot meals. They're usually a little slow making them, and they really aren't the most tasty. But overall, I'm still a fan. read more

For a place that promotes fresh coffee, forget it. Most of the time they are out and have to brew more. One time all but two of the many different coffees were out. I used to love Quick Chek in Monroe. They had cheap gas, great hours, and anything you could need. I used to get subs from there all of the time since I don't care for Subway. I never had problems but recently the quality of food has rapidly declined. Well last night, I got my usual sub, and as soon as I finished it I didn't feel well. At work my stomach was killing me, and by the time I got home around 11pm, I felt so sick. I was up all night throwing up from that sub I ate. Never again will I buy made-to-eat food from Quick Chek.
