This is a newer model of the Cumberland Farms chain. This store was recently built after the older…read morestyle Cumberland Farms was tore down to make room for this new one. The new store is at least 3x larger than the older one. As such, it features an updated and modern design, the parking lot is larger, and there are many more gas pumps. There is an abundance of parking on the front and side of the building, with doors on both sides and entrances on both the 17K and Rock Cut Road sides of the parking lot. This is much more efficient than the old store. The inventory is wide-ranged. There are a few shelves with perishable foods and miscellaneous items, but much of the store contains fresh food -- hot or cold. There is a variety of a little bit of everything. Staff are friendly and plenty. I stopped in just before midnight on a weeknight and there were 4 employees working. Two were stocking the shelves, one was cleaning, and the other was a cashier (who was also cleaning). Staff were extremely friendly and 2 employees went out of their ways to advise me that uniformed personnel (military, law enforcement, etc.) always get coffee for free. A few customers came in and out, but the amount of staff on hand was easily able to keep up with the flow, plus there were still enough employees to get the other jobs done (stocking, cleaning, etc.). For a gas station / convenience store, this is impressive. I hope it lasts.

There is an Arby's I believe located on the inside so I got a chicken sandwich. The inside was clean and it also has a laundry area to wash your clothes. The shower wait time was long because it was very busy. I wouldn't park here unless you have to but be super careful coming out of the parking spaces get out and look several times.

They also have the E-85 fuel (for vehicles containing the "flex fuel" option). The store inside is generally clean and stocked well. They have a decent assortment of typical gas station food and coffee. The staff generally seem pretty cold and down in the dumps, although I'm not sure why. You don't get a friendly feeling when you walk into this store. If I'm in the area, I generally use this gas station for the cheap fuel prices but not for the store.

I also like the fact that there's two entrances to get in and out of this valero. one entrance is off of the main road 17 K and the other entrance is down a side street off of 17 K. From there then you can turn into the gas station. One of the biggest bonuses of this gas station is that they are one of the only gas stations in the Newburgh area that have E-85 gas This Valero is a pretty big gas station it is a full service convenient store as well. The staff here is great the two same guys are pretty much there every single time that I come here. There is a full service subway restaurant inside of the gas station that has its own subway staff members. I have eaten at that subway a few times on the way back from trips and they do do a good job for a subway. Overall this is the gas station that I go to get my gas. not only do they carry regular gas but they also carry E-85 gas. The station has a lot of pumps and the staff is always friendly. I could not find a real menu for sandwiches other then breakfast ones and other stuff like buffalos wings or fries. so I asked for a Italian combo on a roll since its easy for any deli. did not wait too long for sandwich and checkout was quick, the cashier was very friendly and polite. the Italian combo was good, plenty of meat and not much cheese. but honestly it was pretty average in flavor. would like to try a breakfast sandwich or another lunch sandwich next time, but def going to get those candy items I don't see elsewhere.

Honestly, they made the sandwich pretty quickly and had it bagged and ready in no time at all. The breakfast hard roll itself was very good quality, two perfectly fried eggs still sightly yolky, sausage patty was great, and cheese was thoughly melted, plus for a hard roll, that bread was incredibly super soft. well worth the trip here to get a breakfast on the good.

The shop is generally unclean. Furthermore, the owner essentially extorted me after I pulled my car in (it began to break down on the highway and the steering locked - I was lucky to get it here!) and asked if I could keep it overnight until I could get a tow truck in the morning. It was undriveable so I could not move it even if I wanted to. He screamed at me, demanded cash, and then told me to leave my keys (I refused the latter). Being that the car was undriveable, I had no choice but to pay him and leave my car here. When I asked to speak to him again this morning to get my $20 "deposit" back, he screamed at me again. I felt completely taken advantage of and will never patronize this business again.
