Walked in at 9:45 am on a quiet Friday morning, after ordering my sandwich and paying for it, had to wait over 10 minutes before I actually saw an employee in the work station. Didn't want to complain but when I saw the sandwich order after mine come out then I had to ask what was the holdup...supposedly during change of shifts/break time, I was skipped. Pulled into this quick chek to utilize the vacuum for my car... machine only takes quarters. Went inside to get change and they refused to give me change without a cash transaction. When I said I don't want to purchase anything, because I didn't and asked if they can open the drawer and just give me quarters to use their vacuum, the manager came over and was a nasty rude woman, who said "I guess you'll have to wait until the next customer comes in and pays with cash" didn't know that's how you treat customers... I've worked in several retail stores that handle cash, and would always open the drawer to provide someone with change if they requested it, regardless of purchasing anything. Nasty rude people that work here!! went to the quick chek down the street and they happily opened their cash drawer to give me 4 quarters to vacuum my car. This quick check has been open for just two years and in the past few months has greatly improved as far as the friendliness of employees. I went in to get gas and the attendant was very friendly. I went inside to get a sandwich and the place was spotless. The employees seem to be very busy cleaning the place and stocking the shelves. The sandwich was freshly made and the only drawback here was that there was one cashier checking customers out. read more

When I pull in for gas I really only expect one thing - an attendant to show up and pump my gas...eventually. Apparently the 3 employees who were huddled together over one customer had more important things to discuss. So yes, I broke the NJ law and pumped my own gas. No one ever showed up, even after my tank was filled and everything was put away. Easy solution here Quick Chek - fire the lazy slobs you had working the afternoon shift today, and hire someone who wants to work. First time using QuickChek purchasing gas using my credit card. Told the gas guy that all I want is $15.00. I am sitting in my car watching the pump and it kept on going past $15.00. I beep the horn to get attention so the gas guy can stop the pump. By the time, they come, it already went up to $30.00. Gas guy told me to go in to the store and get the refund but the manager there refused to refund me. Very rude and tell me he can't do anything about it. It is already charged to your card. this quick chek is pretty new but a little small for this busy location. it was clean. i went at 12:30pm. i got a 6 inch italian sub for $3. the sandwich meats were fresh but pretty tasteless probably overwhelmed by the onions. there was only one thin slice of cheese but i did have the option when ordering of adding more cheese which i will do next time. the bread was amazingly soft and yummy. i also got a serving of mozzarella sticks which were free since i had a coupon. they were very hot but the marinara sauce was not heated. the serving size was 5 and all in all they were pretty good. the men making the sandwiches were working very hard and i didn't wait too long for my food. i went to the self checkout but had a problem with my coupon so the cashier helped me in a timely manner and was friendly. the shelves were well stocked as in many quick checks. this is a good place for quick food and drinks but it's not a 4 star restaurant read more

And breakfast sandwiches, they advertise the ones on sale but don't have them and happen to not list the price of the sandwiches they do have, hopefully they just ran out of the ones on special and the regular priced ones. Took 15 minutes to make a sausage egg and cheese while employees were socializing, ignoring and being rude to customers. Added 0.75 for spinach which did not make it on the sandwich and the sandwich itself looked like it was wrapped with ripped Christmas wrapping paper. I come to this Quick Chek a few times per month, because it is very close to my office workplace so it is convenient. This place always leaves a lot to be desired. Never ever is it "great". Even the tuna sandwich I got today... How in the hell do you screw up a tuna sandwich I don't know... but #1.. I asked for Kaiser roll, and although I did get some type of "roll" it was not a Kaiser roll, It was some type of squarish bread. 2: If you're going to cut the sandwich in half, can you please cut ALL THE WAY THROUGH so that I don't have to do it with my fingers back at the office? CUT IT... go ahead! You won't damage the counter. 3: Bill came to $7.02... do you think you could have a little cup for "extra" change? People will put some in and take a penny or 2 as needed as a courtesy... I know that pennies add-up so I wouldn't want the business to OH MY! lose a $100 over a months time. read more
