The worst customer service I have ever seen. I've been stopping by this place on occasion over the past two decades. It is rare that I have not had a nasty encounter with one of the women working behind the counter. And it is not the same person every time! Customers are yelled at and insulted regularly. On my most recent visit, I asked for help because the screen was malfunctioning at self checkout. The employee told me I needed to "learn how to read" and that she hates dealing with stupid people. She's stuck to her insults, even after realizing the screen malfunction. I called the corporate number and left a message and did not receive a callback. read more

On May 16,2023 at aprox. 10:00 PM fuel attendant "ICON" or something like that told me to get my gas somewhere else after I told him I only wanted $5 after his poor service. He also told me I should have pumped it myself If I did not want to wait. That was not even the issue; the problem being that he decided to wait on a car that had just pulled up after I had waited 5 minutes. Is pumping my own gas a thing in NJ that changed while I was out of state for a couple of weeks? LOL Should I take ICON's advise and pump my own fuel? ICON, take off your mask, Covid sheik is out of style by now and I think it might be killing badly needed brain cells! And WHO is hiring these people? And why can't we give zero stars? Clean, efficient and a very decent cup of coffee. While in a direct head-to-head I prefer Wawa (slightly) there's not one aspect of the QC experience that's wanting except a personal preference for WaWa's hoagies, specifically their chicken salad (yum) That's a minor nit not worth overthinking. How good is Quick Check? All I have to do is remember my last visit to the decrepit 7-11 and the royal flush of stars for Quick Chek flows easily. QC is a winner. read more

I go to this location everyday, most days 2/3 times a day. Lately it hasn't been kept clean or stocked. No customers at times and garbages are overflowing coffee bar filthy and not stocked but 7+ workers talking and playing around. Workers complain about management and other workers loudly in the open for all to hear. Cashier walks around drinking out of a cup instead of taking care of the line that formed or cleaning up the store a bit. She is rude and doesn't like other employees she chooses watching them then doing her own job. This morning I was making my coffee about to order breakfast and as I looked behind the counter the girl making the sandwiches was also snacking. How are you eating and making food with the same gloves. Sandwiches and food are now taking over 15:20 mins to get and are coming out wrong or a completely different sandwich then you ordered. There are a bunch of great workers but the bad ones ruin that. Management should be doing a better job, I never even see a manager. read more

Normally I have very few issues with quick check food. Today was an exception. Whoever made the sandwich was a bit careless with the paper used to wrap said sandwich. It basically mixed into the melted cheese and was hard to get rid of entirely. I ordered this around 2:45 PM on December 29th. Not the biggest issue, just something that could have been avoided easily. Edit: after thinking about it, I'm deducting another star as this was 6 dollar grilled cheese. This Quick Chek, like most Quick Cheks, is incredibly clean and well managed. Hot and cold foods are well-stocked and the staff is very attentive. The food prep was quick and the breakfast sandwich I had was good! Parking can be a bit tough during busy periods, but otherwise, it's very manageable. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I decided to stop by QuickChek around 11:50 PM after working a 16-hour shift to buy some cat food for my kittens. When I was at the self-checkout and already scanned and bagged two cans of cat food, Denise who is the manager, walked up to me and said you're not allowed to be in here without a mask on. I told her that I didn't realize that and I apologized then asked her if I should finish scanning my items and check out real quick or should I just leave. Instead of answering my question and asking or telling me to just leave the store, she told me that there was a sign on the door requiring masks. I told her I didn't see a sign since I was responding to a text message while walking up to the door. So, I apologized again then told her that I have masks in my car so would it be ok if I got one then came back in and finished paying for my items. Then she said since I'm already in the store I've probably contaminated the entire store and have possibly infected the other customers. Then she told me Gov. Murphy required everyone to have face coverings in all stores since Friday, which was the day before when I also worked a 16-hour shift. I told her that I was unaware since I was working all day yesterday. Then she told me that it has been all over the news. I told her that I haven't been watching the news, and I don't at the moment since I think most of it is just fear-mongering. So I asked her if I should just leave. She then said that she should call the cops on me for possibly contaminating the entire store and making the customers sick since I didn't have a mask on. After being scolded for about two minutes I decided to just walk away and leave since she was hellbent on trying to make me feel stupid and insignificant while I was being calm and polite to her. Once I walked away and open the door to leave i heard her say go wash your hands and put on a mask then I'll let you finish your purchase. By that time I decided I will never come back to this QuickChek again. If she had a small amount of knowledge about respiratory pathogen transmission she would realize that COVID-19 spreads through respiratory droplets, coughing, sneezing and talking. If someone isn't coughing, sneezing or talking they would have to mess around their nose or mouth to get infected respiratory secretions on their hands. Since there was no requirement in the store to wear gloves and I wasn't coughing or sneezing and I didn't start talking until she started berating me. My chance of infecting the entire store is equivalent to all the employees and other customers that weren't wearing gloves so berating and humiliating me was uncalled for. On top of that, she accused me of possibly being infected while standing right next to me wearing a surgical mask. Which wouldn't help her at all if she's next to an infected person. Only a respirator mask would be effective in that situation. If you want to be berated and deal with a manager that's hellbent on trying to humiliate you in front of the staff and other customers just for making a mistake then this QuickChek is the place for you. I'm not the type of person that writes reviews. Even if I have an amazing experience I won't bother writing a review, but I will write a review for an unbelievably horrible experience to warn future customers what they might go through. This is the first review that I ever wrote for any business and hopefully, it's the last. Just to be clear I don't want Denise to face any negative repercussions from this review, corporate, I'm talking to you. She was just doing her job by enforcing the new policy about facial coverings, she just went about it the wrong way by being very rude and trying her best to scold me. I just want her to politely tell or ask a customer to leave if she wants them to leave if they are simply asking whats the next step that they should take instead of trying her best to humiliating them in front of staff and other customers. read more

Nice, and clean inside. It's a newer building and it feels new. Wait times for food vary but are among average. The gas station part is good, and the prices are always low. Compared to Wawa, I think this is a step up. The food is less oily, and the staff is friendly. At Wawa, if you order a sausage, egg, and cheese burrito, it comes out a sloppy mess dripping and oozing in oil. Here is the total opposite! I've only had a few visits here but all of them thus far have been spot on. The coffee is average, but compared to wawas in the area, they actually have coffee. After a long shift at work I always come and get my veggie wrap with my custom toppings! I was a little annoyed that there was so many people there but honestly idk who it was who made my wrap but it was the best wrap I had the way they placed the food inside the wrap made a difference it was a nice tight wrap normally it's sloppy and everything falls out whoever it was at 6:30am making wraps is my favorite person in the world right now I'm eating my wrap as I write this because my experience there today was Awsome ladies at the cashier where very nice! It's nice to see smiles after a long shift in the morning!!! My veggie wrap number was 325 whoever made it needs to be acknowledged!!! As well as the three ladies in the front cashier!!! read more

Conveniently located on rt. 130 this quik check/gas station seems to be pretty steady. Not a fan of the gas but it's clean and things are easy to find. Service is laxed inside store and while things are sporadically placed around the store. It's easy to grab a coffee, snacks, sandwiches and drinks. Don't be fooled by its quik check appearance it's not the norm that we all know. Like the stand alones that take time and care to make a decent sandwich. This is more in my honest opinion a quik check truck stop for those truckers that haul all day n night. Dimly lit and convenient for easy quick whatever you're looking for. So if you're actually looking for a "great quik check sandwich" this isn't the one to go too. It's great for coffee, munchies or a pack of smokes which btw aren't cheap. They do have public restrooms that are clean. So if you're in a hurry and need gas by all means it's the place since their isn't a wawa in sight. read more

The food is fresh but the deli service is mediocre. There is never a sense if urgency even when the lunch rush is in. Today I went later and was surprised there was no crowd formed so I figured I'd be out in 5 mins....no such luck, after I paid more folks came and the lone guy in the back summoned for help and 1 of the 3 girls in the back started making sandwiches. She put a sandwich on the counter as I stood there and never called a number and another customer waiting asked if it was his but she told him the number, which was mine. Coffee is okay....not as cheap or good as WaWa. The hoagies ore okay.....but not as good as WaWa either. The big draw here is this location has gas which makes it a good stop before the Turnpike......they also have PNC ATM's if you use PNC. read more

Deli service is poor. On my order as well as the guy behind me, they didn't have bread and rolls ready. Sandwiches were made sloppy, missing ingredients, and tasted off. The rest of the store is well stocked in packaged goods and there is a well services gas station. Just avoid the deli. read more

I could have had the worst breakfast sandwich ever in my life this morning. It was a microwave mess. Barley any eggs and cheese on the sandwich. I just left the Quick Chek, hopefully forever. At a very busy time of morning, there was only one register open-NONE of the self service registers were open. And god help you if someone in front of you wants to buy lottery tickets. There were two or three people behind the coffee station and two or three behind the food prep counter. Why couldn't anyone be used at the registers??? In addition to terrible service, the food selection is incredibly weak and subpar in quality to the Wawa right down the street. Store: It's fine. Well-stocked, so that's good. Deli: Horrible. I don't know how many times I've continuously gone in buying a simple sandwich only to have it either drenched in oil or vinegar (albeit I order 'extra', that doesn't necessarily mean drown it in the ingredient so much so that the inside of my plastic bag is now wet). They are messily made--only thrown together to take another task off of their to-do list. If this place weren't so close to my job I wouldn't go here at all. Service: Depends. They seem to hire a fair amount of younger-aged people. They are always giving weird looks to customers and the couple of times I needed assistance they gave me attitude (and this is from an array of workers) or didn't know how to help. (These are the same workers that work at the deli.) Gas: Attendants are usually friendly and pleasant. However, they seem to have some trouble with timely fill-ups.
