Nice menu, nice folks, great food, I had the spicy crawfish noodle dish and it was fresh & amazing, wife had sesame chicken, also very good, crab & cream cheese rolls were good, the Chinese chive cakes were not our fav, didn't finish them, overwhelming flavor.

I was able to try this place on Tuesday after the big opening weekend during lunch. Being this food hall is new there are still a lot of people here during lunch, but I don't see the long line that they have during the opening week. The staff were nice and easy to order. I got Duck Jian Bing, it tasted good it has a lot of crunch to it. The price is not too bad costed about $13. I think I will give it more time to try again this restaurant has great potential to be awesome.

I got the signature jian bing. It was outstanding!!! One of the things I enjoyed most about it was that it was extremely crispy. It was super tasty and I can't wait to go back and get other varieties. The cashier was friendly but she missed out on telling me how to eat it. She should have asked if I've had one before. So the first one I ate with my bare hands like an animal. I knew I should be using the bag like how you do with burritos wrapped in foil. So when I got to the second one I started futzing with the bag and realized there was a seam that easily peeled apart down the middle of the bag. So then I ate like a champion. My friend got the teriyaki beef and it had no flavor and we both rated it a zero. I would give this place 5 stars for me and zero for my friend. So I'm giving it a 4 because mine was just so good! The ambience is super cool tables here and there, ours was a sky blue. Private bathrooms too.

The food was pretty good. Lots of different things I've never tried before like jian bing and cold noodles. The speed of service was a bit slower due to it being so busy in the alley. Very crowded on the weekends so I recommend getting there early

Honestly I had higher hopes for this authentic place. The veggie pancake was flavorless to say the least. I was expecting a lot more from the food court but the concept is promising. The service was quick which is nice. I really wanted to like this place but I'm a huge foodie and flavor comes first to me. The pancake was overcooked and too crispy almost burnt. Their drinks are also okay nothing great. I had the passion fruit tea and wasn't outstanding. Overall, the concept and ambience is pretty neat.

We dined in, so there was no excuse for receiving lukewarm, nearly cold chicken that tasted like it had been microwaved after being frozen. The texture was soggy and unappetizing. The BBQ ribs were clearly old, covered with a slab of sauce to hide their age and lack of quality. To make matters worse, they charged a $4 table service fee and still had the nerve to ask for a tip. Paying extra for poor service and inedible food is insulting. The entire experience felt like an afterthought, from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the quality of the food. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never return.

My chow mein though was missing and instead there was a container of vegetables and chicken in broth. I complained to Uber Eats and was given a refund and immediately I re-ordered because i craved chow mein. When it arrives I'm shocked to see it's another container of vegetables and chicken in broth. At this point I started to believe I don't know what chow mein was. But my husband assured me chow mein is noodles. There were no noodles. By definition chow mein is a noodle dish!? What they gave me had no noodles!!

It is busy enough that plenty of other people had also called in for takeout. The price was higher than I thought it would be by a significant margin; I thought something was off but then rechecking their menu I saw it was indeed $20 for a vegetable entree. On the upside, they did offer brown rice at no extra charge. Still, I'll get three meals out of it and as someone who eats a lot of takeout, this was not a great value. In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

I ordered the sesame chicken dinner, wonton soup and an egg roll. The egg roll was soooooo small...super lint and little. I co my s from a place where one egg roll can be shared by two people. Thick and super stuffed. Forget that. It doesn't exist here. The mini egg roll was dry and you couldn't even tell what was in it. The wonton soup broth had a great flavor but the wontons were not fresh. They were gummy in a creepy kinda way. Frozen with freezer burn was my best guess. The sesame chicken was super super super OVERFRIED. Dry as a bone inside. This had clearly been pre fried and then fried again and dipped in a sticky sauce with weird texture. Kind of tasted like sesame chicken but the texture of the sauce and the dry chicken were disgusting. I spit it out. This place is a nicer version of Panda Express. If you like Panda Express .....bless your hearts than you might love this place. All the cheap Charlie items, like signs for "5% discount for cash" and a small buffet of the cheapest rice and noodle items for lunch are there. And this was a very nice, casual restaurant with great food. We were seated. The place-mat menus were the same, but very much beaten up, creased, warn and dirty. And not everything on the menu is available. Yep, maybe still saving the expense of new menus? Wife had Mu Shu pork with the pancakes and she was pleased with it. I had their Special Trio with broccoli, beef, chicken, shrimp in a spicy brown sauce. It turned out to be as I previously had tasted. Portion was smaller than before. Server was Tony, a man who did well and spoke English well. I doubt that we will be regulars here as we search for other Chinese options. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food served! I have eaten here many times and I have tried virtually everything on the menu. With that said, here is my take on it. Everything that I have tried has been delicious! For cold appetizers, I am a big fan of the Black Fungus W. Vinegar Sauce, Cold Spicy Sour Cucumber and the Spicy Beef Tendon. For hot appetizers, everyone raves about the Popcorn Chicken and I concur that it's very good! I really like the Frled Pork Gyoza too. For the main course, they have some rice dishes, but the main focus is the hot pot soups. They bring out a 300°F Stone bowl of broth (in an insulated pot holder) and the ingredients to put in it. You put the meat and lettuce in first, then the other ingredients and the noodles last then wait for "10 seconds"thus the name of the restaurant. I have tried all of the broths and they are all good depending on your tastes. The original broth is the bass broth. Then they add things to the other others to differentiate them. My favorites are the Tomato Soup (especially with Beef Flank) and Spicy Soup. If you like things VERY spicy, they can bring you some cut Thai peppers. The wait staff are patient are very helpful in guiding patrons. They understand that this is a new experience for them. They also pay attention to their customers eating habits. One time when I went in, they noticed that I added lots of chili peppers and chili oil to my food. That's when she said she could bring me some very hot fresh chili peppers. Charlotte is truly blessed to have so many great authentic Chinese body shops popping up all over town! I highly recommend this place! Cheers!
