Free bread with different oils to dip in.
    Kristin B.

I have been here twice now. The first time, I was here for dinner and it was great. We were greeted at the door with friendly, welcoming smiles. Our orders were taken and our drinks and food were delivered quickly. You get some really delicious bread while you wait and oils to dip them in. I got the mushroom pasta and it was delicious...the first time. The second time, I came here with my boyfriend for lunch. We did not get the same greeting. Instead an grumpy man asked us what we wanted. We said we would like to eat lunch. He told us to sit where we liked, handed us menus and walked away. The lunch menu is significantly smaller than their dinner menu and there was nothing on there that I wanted. I asked if it was possible for them to make the same pasta I had the last time and the chef said it was fine. The waiter grumbled about it so I said it was fine they didn't have to make it and started to get up to leave. When he realized I was going to leave, he said it was fine and that they would make it. I realize I was asking for something not on the menu and I was very appreciative that they would make it and was understanding when the waiter was hesitant to place my order, so I am not taking any stars off for that. However, the waiter's behavior was obnoxious to begin with. He also forgot to bring our drinks and when I asked for ice (since they don't put ice in the drinks there) he grumbled something and walked away with my drink to get ice. The food was also very disappointing and had it tasted like that the first time I was here, I would have never returned. I would give it another try after lunch hours to make sure I am ordering from the menu and to see if we could get the same welcoming service as we did the first time, but at least I won't be disappointed like I was this last time.

The best part of the meal.

Excellent seafood pasta with plenty of seafood! However my partner ordered the calzone and has been sick since then.

Lively, but not loud. We had a nice chat with our server, Flavia, who turned out to be the "boss's (Fabio Pezzoli) daughter", and a delightful young woman! Fabio sent out a complimentary bruschetta for us to enjoy with our wine as we settled in. After hearing the specials and scouring the menu we ordered a pizza and a house made fettuccine with a creamy parmesan black pepper truffle sauce. Served with sliced truffles, it was a superb dish! I can honestly say that it was one of the best pasta dishes in recent memory! The pizza was thin, crispy and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, I enjoyed an espresso and a perfect panna cotta. Caroline simply enjoyed her wine. We closed the restaurant after visiting with Fabio and his friend, a well-known local writer Erik Fosnes Hansen. It was a memorable evening and I'd not only highly recommend this local treasure, but would return in a heartbeat if in Oslo.

My friend had mentioned they had quite good pizza, and since the place wasn't busy, we decided to give it a try. The place is small, fitting around 12 to 15 people maximum and there was only one employee serving and making the pizza that day. I got the prosciutto pizza and my husband got the indiavolata pizza. The crust was freshly made and delicious but I would have loved more toppings on mine as I only had a few poor slices of prosciutto and not much cheese. For two individual pizzas, we paid 237 Kr, which is around 28$US. Note that tips are included so you don't need to give any if you don't want to. For those who don't want to eat in the restaurant, you can also buy it to go, which many people did while we were there. They have a large range of focaccia, polpette and lasagna as well. They also have different products that you can buy such as olive oil, pasta etc. The service was good and quite fast, despite the woman being alone doing everything.

This was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had, including meals in Italy. Our server was great and very knowledgable about the food and the ingredients. He was from Italy and this was also good because our Norwegian sucks, and Italian mixed with English was easier for us. :) The house made sausage was delicious. The gorgonzola cheese was quite possibly the best I have ever had. The pasta was freshly made and the flavors in the sauces were mouthwatering. The pizza was exceptional. Everything was delicious. If in Oslo again, I would return in a heartbeat. PS I rated it as kind of pricey, but bear in mind it was not pricey for Oslo. Oslo is the most expensive city I have ever visited. It even surpasses Tokyo and Paris in restaurant prices.
