Labcorp - Bruising in my arm and all they said was to put ice on it, I should get a discount for this nonsense!

Hands down the most miserable experience with a lab. Checked in at 8:15 am using a kiosk that…read moreadvised me my appointment time would be 9:45 am. At 10:00 am I walked up to the desk to ask how much longer I should expect to wait, and was told my time was 10:30 am. At 10:15 am, the lights flickered for a second, and it completely shut down their computer system, requiring a reboot and further delaying their ability to check in patients. The waiting room was full the entire time, standing room only at times. This was for a pre-employment drug panel...urine in a cup. This is the third time in a year I've had to do this, and I have set these up for literally hundreds of candidates. Not since the height of COVID have I heard a candidate having a wait time longer than 30-40 minutes at other facilities. Literally ANY other testing facility is faster and more efficient than LabCorp.

I went to the LabCorp in Wesley Chapel at exactly 1230. They close at 2:30. I came from Brooksville…read morebecause I had another appointment down in Tampa so I figured my blood work here and they told me they cannot take me because apparently it's too full. It would've been nice if they put some type of alert in the system before I got out of my way to drive there , but the front desk is also very rude as well especially the Indian girl I wish I got her name. When I went and asked her because apparently it was bc of insurance purpose she said it was bc they were full!! SO, Another girl came talk to me. The girl that was there previously didn't want to speak to me. I wonder why????

Had another real good experience there this morning, after 3 in a row it's time to write a review…read more Without an appointment, you go to the waiting list with a message that it could take quite some time. However, from experience my longest wait so far has been 20 minutes, which honestly is minimal. Once they call you back, the rooms where they draw blood are clean, comfortable, and very efficient. The staff is positive, friendly and so very efficient. Plus everybody so far has been very very professional meaning no pain at all, no marks, no blood, no nothing other than in out and done with a smile. Highly recommend this location.

When I arrived, the left kiosk was occupied, so I began using the kiosk on the right. I inserted my driver's license into the card reader to begin the check-in process. However, as I stood there, I became increasingly uncomfortable with how close other patients were seated to the kiosk and how visible the screen was from the waiting area. Before completing the process, I selected the cancel option and stopped the check-in. I then waited for the left kiosk to become available and completed my check-in there instead. My private information was displayed on the kiosk screen in large text during the check-in process. The patients seated in the waiting area, including those visible in the photograph I took, were seated approximately two feet away and had a direct line of sight to the kiosk. From those seats, they could clearly see where identification and insurance cards were inserted into the reader and could view the information displayed on the screen. My concern is not that someone could have intentionally walked over to the kiosk to see my information. Rather, patients seated in the designated waiting area already had a clear and unobstructed view of the kiosk and the information displayed there. Additional seating farther away was available, yet patients were seated immediately adjacent to the kiosk area. There was no privacy barrier separating kiosk users from nearby waiting patients. After my blood draw, I raised this concern with a staff member. I explained that patients in the waiting area could easily see the kiosk screens and that there was very little space between the seating area and the check-in stations. The staff member responded that they did not really monitor the sign-in process because it was done through a machine. When I asked whether privacy protections still applied simply because the information was being entered into a kiosk rather than provided to a staff member at a desk, I was told that there were two sign-in options available. I did not feel that this addressed my concern, as both kiosks appeared to present the same privacy issues when occupied. The staff member stated that she would let management know, and the conversation ended there.

TOM TERRIFIC HERE WITH ANOTHER HONEST BUSINESS REVIEW…read more I needed to find a new lab to get my blood work done because Quest kept sending me a bill for the work that is covered by my two insurance agencies. I went to Labcorp and they were not kind nor helpful. Plus the lady wanted me to get the work done even though she couldn't tell me if they accept my insurance so i walked out. Sure am glad i found Physicians Stat lab on Water St. The receptionist was very helpful, told me they took Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and did my paper work for me. The other places they want you to do all that yourself, thus eliminating someone's job. Well the waiting room was full so I expected a long wait but she called my name in ten minutes, she took my blood and urine sample and out the door i went. I really like this place and i hope you have the fast, courteous service i got.

Form the moment we walked in we were greeted with a positive and warm hello. the 2 women working were so friendly and all smiles. When it was time to go back the tech was comforting and caring to him as he was nervous and so was I. She talked him through the whole process and within minutes he was done. She was very quick and accurate in her work. Again I could not have asked for a better place. The front desk receptionist was also amazing and great at what she does. There was a line of people in her waiting area and she never once seemed frustrated or unpleasant. We were self pay as my son does not have insurance because it would be close to $400 p/m to add him on mine. They offer extremely reasonable pricing for their tests and Wednesdays are HALF PRICE!! I wish they accepted my work insurance, Cigna, because I would gladly go here over Quest Labs any day for my blood work. A HUGE THANK YOU to the ladies at PSL on Water St in New Port Richey! We need more people like you both in the world.
