St Joseph's Hospital North Imaging Service in main hospital. We got it done---eventually! First off my bank wasn't processing credit card payments this morning---"so we'll bill you." Done. When taking blood sample...needle blew out---made a white towel red! "Kidney blood check just fine," After taking two CT scans without contrast....as tech initiated contrast to enter----it blew out the IV connection---cold contrast everywhere! Freaked me out! But tech simple cleaned up mess and tightened connection...and the cold then hot contrast was injected and "CT scan finished." St Joe's CD burner wasn't working---so the tech called the out patient imaging on Van Dyke and I "picked up my burned cd in the morning." So.....a few snafus-----but all dealt with and handled with care, compassion, and professionalism. The tech and I had a few giggles dealing with so many bumps in the process! But this is an annual CT scan soo I know them all well. And CHOOSE to continue my treatments there. I heartily recommend these "health pros" and trust them with my care---and my life! read more

Front desk doesn't speak to you, just sign in and sit. They call you up only to get info, then sit down again and wait. Never gave any idea that the wait would be long. I arrived when they opened on a Thursday morning at exactly 7:00am. I waited 1 1/2 hours to be seen for a simple blood draw. The only bright spot was the lab tech, Neysi, who was empathetic, kind and very skilled. You used to be able to schedule an appt. But now, they say on their site in the interest of "public safety" they no longer take appts. REALLY?? The waiting room was full of many more people than if you had just taken appts. I will never go back there again. read more

Efficient and great customer service. I went in for imaging and lab work the same day called in by my doctor. At first, I thought it was going to be atleast a 2 hour wait but they were so efficient that I was seen within an hour for my lab work which helped me with my work schedule. The techs were super compassionate and helpful. Pro Tip: sign in on the iPad when you walk in especially if your getting lab work done. read more

Blown vein. Every visit I have had here has been great, until today. I would give today's visit no stars if I could. Every lab visit I gently advise my lab techs of two things; 1) I am on blood thinners, and 2) I have very good veins that are easy to stick and therefore many times people over stick my veins. I told today's tech both. She concurred. Then she proceeded to blow right through my vein. I immediately felt intense burning. She had to move the needle and keep pushing my arm down to get blood flow in the vial because the vein was blown. When I got to my car the pain was so great that I decided to go back in and tell the front desk for the purpose of making them aware that there needs to be some retraining or at least knowledge of this mistake so that it doesn't have to happen to any one else. The woman at the front desk was very kind and apologetic. She said she was going to talk to her, that she wasn't a regular tech there and offered me a heat pack. I declined the heat pack, thanked her, and left. I drove off and at the next stop light removed the bandage to notice a huge lump. I turned around and went back. I walked in and told the front desk that I indeed wanted a heat pack and that there was a huge lump where the vein was blown. She went back and got another nurse to assist me (Stephanie). The first thing she said was that they wouldn't be able to provide any treatment (which is understandable), but no apology was offered on behalf of their poor service, no reassurance that there will be any retraining or anything. She just re-wrapped my arm to help the swelling from the blood pooling under the vein. Although I appreciate the front desk's concerns I wasn't impressed with the actual medical staff's response. I understand that accidents happen but when they do, especially in the medical field, there should be at a minimum and apology, and a clear reassurance that it will be addressed so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. As I sit here and type this, the pain is still intense and I can't straighten my arm out. Because this has happened before I know that this will persist for many days. Being an Army trained Combat Life Saver I know how to administer IV's and it's not difficult. This is their specialty and with veins like mine this should've been simple. Furthermore with the two warnings I gave her this didn't need to happen. read more

The people are friendly and nice, the staff seem very skilled at drawing blood. However, they are horrible with digital paperwork. I have taken my daughter twice to have blood work drawn for an order to test for anemia. She had two other standing orders (b12, and hormone). At check in they verified the order was there, drew her blood and sent it out for hormone only. The second time I went I made sure the order was there, they drew her bold and did not do the anemia just the B12. My daughter has special needs and this is soooooooooo frustrating! We use a BayCare Dr. The lab is the worst with paperwork. I was warned when I made the apt that they have problems if a person needs more than one lab order drawn. I will go get the paperwork and hand it into them or use another lab. The people are great but whoever sends the blood out is extremely incompetent. EXTREMELY! read more

The Baycare lab on Van Dyke has screwed up my lab work 5 times in less than 6 months. They threw away my blood samples because they lost the lab orders from the doctor so I had to go back a week later to have blood drawn again. Another time they lost the fluid that my doctor took off my knee so that could never be tested. When I have made appointments they call to remind me and then text the day prior. When I show up for my appointment they tell me that I am not in the system and that I must be at the wrong location. When I show them the text that they sent telling me to come to the Van Dyke location they say that it must have been a mistake because can't find my appointment or any lab orders. That has happenws more than once so I learned walkins usually get faster service than when I make an appointment. Today they told me that the lab work I am supposed to get was done over a month ago when they were supposed to run a different test. Now they have no orders for my work that is due today. If they run it again my insurance will not pay for it because it was paid for a month ago so I will have to pay for it myself. Why should I pay for their screw ups? Stay away from this place they are so unorganized and incompetent that I would not trust any results from them any more. read more

Great place to go! I hate going anywhere else for land or for imaging! I love that everything is automated and they will work hard to get you in! I had two separate appointment days for labs and a mammogram and they told me to check in and they would do their best to get me into imaging on the same day to save me a trip and they did it! Without a long wait! Everyone is so nice and they do explain everything! read more

We needed our lab work done for upcoming doctor appointment but didn't think to make appointments. So we were walkins on a Friday morning around 10 am. They were able to get us in with only a 10 minute wait and the young man that took my blood samples was the easiest and fastest I have had in a very long time. We were in and out within 15 minutes with no pain at all! Very good place to go and be taken care of by friendly, courteous staff! read more

this place is so nice !!! the staff there is so wonderful and welcoming. the wait there isnt long either. you have to schedule an appt online or by calling. they got me in quicker than i thought, and the ladies there with mamography were excellent, the lady there named stephanie, was a pleasure....she was so nice and explained everything to me before and after. if you need a place to go for a mamogram, go to see these people.!!!! the building is on van dyke / dalemabry next to kohls. thank you baycare for all your help !!!! read more

First time here for labs. I was getting fed up with the service provided by the other major lab companies so thought I would try it out as I had recently been for imaging here and was impressed with service and speed of result. Just great service all round from check in to blood draw, and I had both routine and some more unusual labs (unusual for me anyway). I was amazed that I had some of the results via the portal as early as the day the blood was drawn, with all the other results provided within 24 hours directly to me.
