Received email reminders and instructions for my upcoming appointment. With Covid I was concerned about sitting in a waiting room. When I arrived with my mask on, I was greeted by the receptionist who had a mask and face shield. She checked me in by first taking my temperature and asked if I had a scheduled appointment or if I was a walk-in. From the Quest emailed instructions, I took out my phone and pulled up the appointment QR code and signed in contactless. I was told someone would call me in shortly. I waited perhaps 5-8mins, as I was early to my appointment. There were only 3 people waiting and the chairs were spaced out and cleaned once a patient was called in. Once I was called in the technician reviewed my profile to check if everything was correct (insurance, address, phone..) and took a credit card (which is only charged after insurance is billed and is not kept in the system after the transaction). Technician was gentle and was able to draw blood on first try. Patched me up and I was done. Overall impression quick, friendly and clean location.

The girl did not even know the keyboard she was typing on! She was searching and pecking the keys. She then kept running in and out of the room and was completely confused. She finally told me I am not sure what tests they want. It was for cholesterol, etc, a basic lab draw for a 50 something woman they have done there the last 3 years! Pathetic. St Joseph's Hospital North Imaging Service in main hospital…read more We got it done---eventually! First off my bank wasn't processing credit card payments this morning---"so we'll bill you." Done. When taking blood sample...needle blew out---made a white towel red! "Kidney blood check just fine," After taking two CT scans without contrast....as tech initiated contrast to enter----it blew out the IV connection---cold contrast everywhere! Freaked me out! But tech simple cleaned up mess and tightened connection...and the cold then hot contrast was injected and "CT scan finished." St Joe's CD burner wasn't working---so the tech called the out patient imaging on Van Dyke and I "picked up my burned cd in the morning." So.....a few snafus-----but all dealt with and handled with care, compassion, and professionalism. The tech and I had a few giggles dealing with so many bumps in the process! But this is an annual CT scan soo I know them all well. And CHOOSE to continue my treatments there. I heartily recommend these "health pros" and trust them with my care---and my life!

So, I drove there to see what the holdup was. They just told me that they use a third party radiation team to review the MRIs and it takes 10-15 days to get them read. The doctor who sent me here is appalled. says it should never take that long. If you're looking for your imaging results quickly, definitely go somewhere else!
