Because of the portal and fast results I was able to show them Simons findings resulting in faster treatment and removal of my gallstones and next day gallbladder. I was so grateful because the pain was unbearable and they were able to administer pain medication before doing their own tests due to Simons test findings, and with a pain as severe as that it was amazing when it was finally relieved. What's unacceptable is that no effort was made to notify patients who already had appointments scheduled. A simple phone call would've saved people time and frustration. The front desk experience made it even worse. The man at the front had some of the worst customer service I've encountered--he refused to even look up and speak to me directly, didn't explain the situation like a professional, and instead handed a piece of paper across the desk telling me to go try other locations. No apology. No accountability. No respect. If you're going to cancel services for the day, own it, communicate it, and treat people like adults. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone who values basic professionalism and courtesy.

I did but the staff was nowhere to be found. They were locked up tight. I waited outside for a few minutes before going back to the car. They finally opened up maybe 10-15 minutes later but then Valerie quickly disappeared for another few minutes. Despite being their first, I got checked in 2nd. Valerie (Northside) and the first patient sat there for at least 15 minutes talking about hair, skin, race, parents and so on. By the time, I got to see her for paperwork, it was already 8 AM. Bottom line, don't tell people to show up 30 minutes early if your employees are not there. Cut the gossip and check people in. We have better things to do than to sit and wait while you all gossip.

The first one went in nice but on the second one i had tears going down my face. It is very uncomfortable experience. I have known it would be because of my lady friends n family that have to do these test every couple years. Im just crabby cuz the Robot didn't take me out to dinner first! I had a sonogram done to. The doctor was very pleasant about it. She cleaned n sanitize up the medical sofa. Then covered it with fresh paper. I could see she was being respectful with my body. I'm a tad uncomfortable with strangers but doctors I understand more. The whole experience was pleasant n went well. Im just bumb out that i need more test done sense they couldn't give me answers for my debilitating situation. As a transgender lady i felt comfortable in their hands. Had a test done as an outpatient one day; went to the ER the next day with worsening symptoms. They admitted me for observation. THEY WAITED FOR FIVE DAYS, with me in the hospital, expecting daily hospital-size copays, to have the test read that was done as an outpatient. When I complained to the proper authority, they sent a letter explaining how busy they were. THEY WAITED FOR FIVE DAYS on this one test to determine if they would move to a heart catheretization, then determined at the end of my stay that no, it was not necessary. The 'hospitalist' assigned to me was an Internist - no different than my PCP; I had to beg to see the Cardiologist who came day I was released. I never felt I was being taken seriously; the 'hospitalist' prescribed medication without checking with me or my PCP. Either one of us could have told her I had tried the same medication 2 weeks before and discontinued it after 5 days because of horrible side effects. I could go on - stay away from this hospital. They are a 5 star when it comes to money and 0 star when it comes to patient care quality.

So fast forward a month later I get a bill for the entire amount stating that they were OUT OF NETWORK and since my insurance was an HMO, I had no coverage. So I contacted them (RAF of Florida) and asked them for the same discount I was given last year when I had NO INSURANCE (50%). They said no, since I had insurance, even though they didn't take it, I was only allowed a 20% discount. Thieves....cash is cash regardless of whether I had insurance or not. This should not play in to this equation and even a bigger question is why would they be allowed to set up shop inside a facility and not be required to take all the same insurance as the facility that people end up at for non emergency services. . I have called this group 3 times asking for the same discount as previously and denied it. I have filed a formal complaint with the Florida Department of Consumer Services and will continue to warn people away from this group. They are opportunists and seem to prey on those without insurance or out of network. If I had medicare, they would get about 10% of what I am offering so they should be grateful I offered 50%.
