Located inside the Safeway, this Quest Diagnostics is the go-to place for getting blood work for my elderly parents. You can make an appointment online ahead of time and when you come in, there is a kiosk to check in and wait. The waiting area has a few chairs. You can also wait in your car and they will let you know when it's your turn. There is a screen on the wall that indicates the queue. Once you check in, they process you fairly quickly and efficiently. I recall there's 2 exam rooms and a bathroom (for taking urine samples). I checked in a couple days earlier by mistake on a Friday at 12:30pm and was kinda disappointed since I fasted since yesterday dinner, but overall my mistake. Since it was pretty slow, one worker took me in and all I did was check in as a walk-in. It also happened that the 12:30 appointment time never showed up. She drew my blood right away. I really appreciated this gesture to get it done on the spot, not all workers will advocate to help you if they didn't have to. I got pretty lucky, but had a good experience here read more

I brought my mom here for lab work because it's close to her house, but I was shocked at how poor the customer service was. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and completely negligent. We checked in before 9 AM as walk-in patients, understanding that appointments come first, but we waited over two hours without being called. During this time, the two technicians were laughing, chatting, and walking back and forth to each other's rooms instead of working efficiently. I personally witnessed them taking their time while patients sat waiting. When I finally ran out my patience & got up asked them how much longer my mom would have to wait (she had been starving & holding her urine for a test and was very uncomfortable), they both started up on me & one of them actually cursed at me, saying I "don't know sh*t" and told me not to tell them what to do. They are not supposed to argue back to patients. That level of unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. I've been to Labcorp before as a walk-in and never had this type of experience -- it should not take 2+ hours when staff are clearly capable of taking one or two walk-ins in between appointments. This location clearly needs better management oversight, improved training in basic manners, and a system to ensure walk-ins are treated with respect instead of being ignored. I had to come here 2 separate times for the same appointment, just to able asked to rescheduled. First visit, they had failed to inform me that they are out of tests. Second visit, they failed to inform me I shouldn't drink water an hour before my appointment. To time off during the work week and to have faced this twice so far is extremely frustrating. Avoid at all costs. The lunch break is from 11 AM to 12 PM, so I thought arriving at 1:25 PM as a walk-in would be reasonable. However, I was told she needed to take a 15-20 minute break. This was despite being fully aware of a scheduled appointment at 1:50 PM and another one right after at 12 PM. It feels like an intentional way to avoid accommodating walk-ins. Avoid this location at all costs! They never open when they say they will and they ALWAYS close early. They don't follow their store hours and the woman who works there is extremely rude. They should just switch their hours to close at three because they never take any patient between three and 3:30pm, but with that said, they'll probably close at 2:30pm-- even if it's posted they close at 3 PM. read more

I had an appointment at 3:00 PM. I arrived earlier, around 2:40 PM. Location is easy to find: Find isle 9, and walk towards the end, and you can't miss. A kiosk was set up for Self-check-in, which was very intuitive. No one was in the front, but there was a clear stand stating they were busy, to sit and wait. A decent number of very comfortable chairs were available in the place, and I was the only one around. The place was also isolated, behind a door like an office. A big screen showed my checked in appointment and that 2 others were also scheduled to come soon. I was greeted by a friendly lady, and I was terrified of being the one noted in the reviews. Thankfully, it was not her, nor she seemed to be anywhere to be found. The one available offered me to go in earlier, which I sincerely appreciated since i was fasting for 12 hours. She asked a few questions and helped me verify my information was correct, including later on the blood vial, and the coverage was right. We took my height, weight, and blood pressure twice to make sure there was no instrument error, and about the time she was going to draw my blood, the late appointment arrived. She quickly stepped out to greet them and asked them to take my prior appointment slot since there was then only a difference of 5 minutes to it. She also offered and requested the person coming in to wear a mask. She walked in and out twice, and both times she replaced her gloves and disposed of the old ones before touching the instruments to draw blood. I really appreciate she was so careful with this to avoid risk of cross-contamination. Finally, she was extremely skilled with the needle. Twice in another location I had blood drawn and left with a huge mark of purple skin and blood in the spot. Not here, it is like I did not even do any blood work. I wish I had got the name of the nice lady who greeted me and did all this. I think she was the only one around. Thank you for the great experience. I just visited this location for blood test. The phlebotomist was friendly and professional. She was very patient to let me call my doctor to get the order straightened out even though she had to work through her break time. Quest seems to be on extreme cost cutting/maximum profit model, there is only one employee at Safeway Quest location. The phlebotomist runs a one man show. Despite that, the customer service I received today was top notch. read more

Staff member immediately started wrenching my arm and wrist. I get mad and they stop. Then they say this is the only way they can find my vein and asked for permission. Proceed to bend my wrist and arm in positions that physically hurt. Then they can't find the vein in my arm so they go through my hand. I had an appointment at 1:20PM. I used the Quest app to check in at 1:10PM,and I was asked to wait in the car, so I waited there. I received a text message from a Quest employee, she sent it at 1:22 PM and I didn't receive it at that time. While waiting for so long, I decided to go inside to check in. I got there at 1:26PM and waited in the room. The lady just came and asked me what time my appointment is, I told her I have an appointment at 1:20 pm. She said, she just canceled my appointment because I was late more than 5 mins. It was 1:30 pm when I spoke to her. She said why it took me 8 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the room. (she said she texted me at 1:22, and I got there at 1:30). So disappointed with this Quest app, and this rule lady. I agree with other reviewer. The older lady was very rude and mean!! My Dr. confirmed my order was sent to Quest system twice and she kept saying my order wasn't in. She raised her voice yelled at me for no reason. I do have an appointment but had to wait for over an hour for her to finally draw my blood. If I could give negative stars I would. This review is specifically for Rebecca who canceled my appointment and berated me as soon as I entered the office, because it took me 4 mins to walk from my car to the office when I checked in and they sent a text saying they were ready for me. I checked in 6:49 for a 6:50 appt and was in the office by 6:54 waiting for her while she was in the back. She refused to see me and stated I was late spending 10 mins screaming me. She has endangered my life due to this being a time sensitive blood test, which quest had already cancelled my original Monday appointment due to facility being closed without offering a replacement appointment. I wish could give negatives review for rebbacca ... she is the most racist , rude and mean person I have ever met in my entire life...!!! She just yelled at me for no reason and refused to take me in for blood draw. It happened twice and both the times I was fasting for 9 hrs . The first time I didn't made a big deal because I didn't had lab order printout so quietly just left from the place but the second time brought all the printouts and even for safer side my doctor office send an fax stating that her patient is on fasting for 9 hours still she completely screamed and disrespected me for just no reason. She keep on saying that I don't have appointment wherein she deleted or god knows what did she do with appointment .... Why would I fast for so many hours if I didn't had the appointment at the first place ...I couldn't process the amount of hatred she was showing me was bizarre but at the same time she was extra nice to certain people...!!! I am going this location from last 3 years . Today had a very bad experience from the old lady who works there . She literally yelled at me and asked me to go out of that room saying she is not able to focus on what she is doing . She was rude and mean .As usual she was struggling to find my doctor's name in the system and only thing i did was tried to help her by saying it might be under the main doctor's name .she even told me "why cant you enter in the system "in a sarcastica and angry tone.the indian lady staff was very nice she did the blood draw .i couldn't even imagine that after this much angry yelling and attitude letting that old lady even touching me for a blood draw .pathetic service i would say . OMG Quest! I am so disappointed. OLDER LADY was very rude and mean! My employee confirmed my order was sent to the quest system, but she can't find it, and we call the quest helpline to help me, they confirmed again, the older lady still can't find it. And she let me sign in again because she doesn't want the system to show she can't finish her job on time. And She raised her voice and yelled at me just because I walked into the room and gave back the phone to her. And while she talks to another patient she mentioned she is from France, that's why she has this kind of personality. And when it's my turn she asks me "where are you from? Are you speak Arabic?". Is it even a question, I think she has nothing to do with my ethnicity. (I am from China and has a little bit mixed look) She is RACIST!!!! This is not acceptable and totally wrong!
