If I could give zero stars I would. I am absolutely livid with the experience I had with my 11…read moremonth old. We had to have routine bloodwork done so I scheduled an appointment here for pediatric blood draw. I brought my first here two years ago and we were in and out within 5 minutes. No poking around her arm, no crying. Nothing. I brought my second here yesterday and I will NEVER come back again. First, she couldn't find a vein. I watched her try and get one to come up but there was nothing there. I saw her grab the needle and I said you see one? Because I definitely didn't. She says yes then grabs my babies arm. Baby started to cry before the needle went in then she literally stabs my baby in the arm WITHOUT finding a vein. She then lifts the needle up in her arm and I said are you supposed to do that? Then she proceeds to move the needle from side to side like she was fishing for a vein. I said stop! We're done here. Made her remove the needle and stood up to get the hell out of there. She puts on a bandaid and gives me my insurance card and script. I am extremely angry, upset and sickened that I had to subject my baby to that horrible experience when we couldn't even give any blood. Our pediatrician said if they have to poke more than once then they don't know what they're doing and leave immediately. That's exactly what I did and we will never be back. This place is not equipped for children like it used to be.

Always helpful. They also are skilled in nearly painless blood draws. I thoroughly appreciate that…read more thanks!

For my first visit I made an early morning appointment and waited over an hour after my appointment…read moretime. I wanted to give them a second chance, especially considering COVID, to see if this was the norm. I shouldn't have. For my second appointment I arrived just before 7:15 AM (no appointment). I was told the wait time would be 17 minutes. Great! At 8:20 I asked about the expected wait time and my wait was "10 more minutes". Ten minutes later I checked again aaaaand I was once again told the wait would be 10 more minutes. I was finally taken at approximately 9 AM. The final straw for me on this location was a very elderly, frail patient must have taken awhile to get back in after his name was called (you are told to wait in your car due to COVID). He was told he lost his spot and had to go to the back of the list. That is completely unacceptable- which keep in mind is over 2 hours long. Any decent human wouldn't do that to someone else. They would take him and understand he couldn't run in immediately when his phone is texted to come inside. I'll never give this place my business and highly recommend you do not either.

So I went there, there is no direct contact with a human, had to use the sign in computer. Same rude women my husband had came out to get me. Very rudely told me that they had the doctors information. Someone like this should not be doing this job. She obviously doesn't like working with the public. In a job like this you should be nice. Will not be coming back here ever!

I had an excellent experience with the phlebotomist yesterday at the Labcorp location in Islip…read more I've been in the medical field for over 23 years, and I honestly hate getting my blood drawn. When I saw she wasn't using a butterfly needle, I almost panicked--but she was so gentle, kind, and reassuring that she immediately put me at ease. She even had me laughing through the whole process, which is not easy to do in that situation. I wish I remembered her name, but I believe it may have been Debbie. Every time I visit this location, the staff is consistently amazing with no complaints at all. In my experience, they are far better than other systems I've worked with, including Northwell (and I say that as a former Northwell employee).

They refused to take patients during this time, disregarding appointments. Recent visit: I was called up to hand in my paperwork, told wait one second, so since it's one second I didn't sit back down... and proceeded to see the employee plop down put my paperwork on the desk and take out her phone and start playing on it. After two minutes she looks up and said "oh, I said give me a second... take a seat. Proceeded to wait another 10,15 minutes for her to read my one page prescription and say if they can take me.... Their only pro is the staff is actually good at taking blood, which is why I may return. When I don't mind wasting my morning.
