Hours are not convenient. The site is closed at lunch time. It is not always easy to leave work just to do a quick lab test.

I have mixed reviews on this location. The lab corp locations that were on Camino Ramon in the…read morebusiness park has been consolidated and moved to the Alcosta business park with the other offices. There used to be 2 Lab Corp in that business park, but now there's just 1 Lab Corp in San Ramon. I have only been to the Alcosta location a couple times, and I find it very busy. I will probably return to it because it is the closest to me. The wait can be very long. I find it is best to schedule an appointment ahead of time, but early morning appointments seem to fill up fast. Even with an appointment, there can still be a wait. The waiting room is definitely very small and it feels very crowded too. You check in via the kiosk and wait for your name to be called. I find even if I have an appointment, I am not called within the time frame and can wait a bit. Parking here is pretty easy. As for the phlebotomists, I haven't had good luck with them but they are okay. I really like the ones at the older location who did a better job. I had to be poked more than once here and they had trouble with my vein. At the previous location, they were really good with everything and I felt very comfortable. They are still very competent here but I suppose it could be better.

Maybe have phlebotomist do blood and insurance specialist check in???

My review is for the one Labcorp male staff member who was obviously not following company policy…read more After waiting as a walk-in for about an hour and seeing that I was still on the 4th page of the queue on screen, I asked one of the staff members behind the front desk if we would get text messages letting us know that our turn is coming up soon. This female staff member respectfully informed me that I would receive a text message when my turn is up and I have 10 min to show up before I lose my spot. She added that I could go to my car if I'd like thanks to this texting protocol. Since I work 5 min away, I decided I'd return to my office and work while I wait for the text message. Thirty minutes later, I receive a text message that reads "Your Labcorp technician is ready to see you. Please proceed to the Labcorp check-in area and your name will be called shortly." I drove back immediately and I was in the waiting room within 8 min of receiving the text message. First thing I noticed though was that my name was not on the board anymore. I went up to this male staff (glasses, mustache, maybe of Indian descent) and told him I received the text and I got here within the 10 min grace period. He asked what text message I'm talking about so I shared that another staff told me about this text message and 10 min grace period protocol. He said he didn't send any text message, he just came back from lunch so he has no idea what I'm talking about, he can't hold up others just for one person, he has to call someone else up now, so he can talk to me later! He then proceeds to loudly announce to those in the waiting room that if he calls your name and you're not here then you'll be taken off the list. Obviously, there is a lack of alignment by the staff members at this Labcorp Danville location. Either you send a text message and uphold the 10 min grace period or you don't. You can't send a text message and choose to ignore it. I ended up wasting 2 hours of my work time between waiting and commuting back and forth only to find my spot removed. I do hope they do better to train all staff members and follow through with these protocols so they do not waste others' times.

Not a single other patient in the lab rooms or lobby. I'm told no because appointment only. There is one little piece of paper in the corner - inside the lab, so you need to already be there to see it - saying appointment only. I was told they couldn't possibly do it anyway. Front Desk Staff (His name might be John) Was Very Rude During Lab Check-In…read more I visited the lab this morning before 8:00 a.m. with my daughter for her blood test. We had already checked in through the system, but for some reason her name was not appearing correctly. Since both of us share the same last name, there may have been some confusion in the system. When I approached the front desk for help, the gentleman at the counter was unfortunately very rude and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand the situation, he immediately insisted that we had not checked in. Patients come to the lab early in the morning for medical tests, often already worried or stressed, and being spoken to in a rude manner can make the experience even more unpleasant. I would like to point out that another lady staff member later helped us and handled the situation politely and professionally. She took the time to check and eventually helped us complete the check-in. Her attitude made a big difference and is exactly the kind of customer service patients appreciate. My suggestion is that the lab should ensure that front desk staff communicate respectfully and patiently with patients. A welcoming and helpful attitude can make the environment much more comfortable for everyone who comes for medical care.
