My first time at this lab corp. I had a great experience start to finish. The receptionist was great. My lab tech was gentle and nice. They got me in before my appointment. Front Desk Staff (His name might be John) Was Very Rude During Lab Check-In I visited the lab this morning before 8:00 a.m. with my daughter for her blood test. We had already checked in through the system, but for some reason her name was not appearing correctly. Since both of us share the same last name, there may have been some confusion in the system. When I approached the front desk for help, the gentleman at the counter was unfortunately very rude and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand the situation, he immediately insisted that we had not checked in. Patients come to the lab early in the morning for medical tests, often already worried or stressed, and being spoken to in a rude manner can make the experience even more unpleasant. I would like to point out that another lady staff member later helped us and handled the situation politely and professionally. She took the time to check and eventually helped us complete the check-in. Her attitude made a big difference and is exactly the kind of customer service patients appreciate. My suggestion is that the lab should ensure that front desk staff communicate respectfully and patiently with patients. A welcoming and helpful attitude can make the environment much more comfortable for everyone who comes for medical care. read more

Staff was incredibly rude to me -- I felt belittled by their responses to my questions. Had an appointment scheduled and they made me switch to a walk in. When I asked why I was switched the associate got upset with me and told me that I had to wait a "long time". I didn't have the time to wait so I told her I'd reschedule. I received a text message 20 minutes after leaving that they were ready to see me. A little communication (and basic decency) from them could've prevented this entire situation. I'm not sure the associate was having a bad day, but by the ratings for this location, it seems like a reoccurring issue. Go to another location/company if you need blood work. This tiny place get so crowded so quickly. We try to schedule online, but the available spots are always two to three months out. When we walk in, you have to get there within the first couple hours or you get locked out. Even when you do get there the first couple of hours, you'll end up waiting two hours to get seen. Some people say the staff seem hostile. They're not hostile. They're stressed. Give them a break. Surely Labcorb knows there's an issue. This location in Pleasanton is very nice. The staffs are professional and helpful . They accept walk in as well as scheduled appointments. In the morning they have 4 staffs to help clients draw blood for lab works . As soon as the clock hits 7:30 am then 10 people showed up . The line moved quickly and everyone was being taken care of in 10 minutes . The place is very clean and organized. Unlike the other Labcorp office in Mowry Avenue , Fremont . I used to go to the Mowry office until one Indian lady staff touched the garage bin with her glove . Without washing her hands or change gloves, she was touching my arm to draw blood . I stopped going there for a few years now . Today I was very impressed by this location in Pleasanton. They have extra wide chair for patients to sit on when draw the blood work . Was sort of "encouraged" to use this lab due to one of my mom's doctors also working in the same building. Just at a glance, being a walk-in could be a very long wait to be seen. Because the day mom got the referral for some lab work, we tried to see if it could be done. It was imo borderline a nightmare, the line of queue was extremely long and the seating area was pretty much filled. Just trying to gauge the wait, we waited over 30 mins and it appeared to be like 2 people were taken in. To be honest, since my mom is on a wheelchair and already saw her doctor that morning, the flow of this like was too much for my mom, so we walked out. Upon driving home of coarse, I got notifications for mom was to be "next" in about 10-15 mins..sadly when I got these notices I was already about less than 5 mins from the house and mom was falling asleep. Scheduling the appointment online was pretty easy, just the availability and times made it to where mom could have been seen weeks later. As per the appointment day, I guess there are literal days where it's all they do and take..because there was no one in the seating area and mom was taken within 5 mins of her set appointment time. I am participating in an American Cancer Society study that requires biometrics and lab draw at Labcorp. Since data collected with anonymity no personal data is needed to provided. The process can be confusing. I made an appointment per provided by American Cancer Society using their assigned name and data. Of course my appointment was many weeks later and I forgot the instructions that led to my confusion when arriving at the lab center. After waiting over half hour and the receptionist calling for appointments for the next hour and informing walk in patients have 2 hour wait. The receptionist couldn't find my appointment. Then I reviewed my instructions and realized that I didn't registered properly. Went the kiosk to register with the correct information, the receptionist seeing my lab package and rush me through the process. Ultimately I got the biometric and lab drawn with the receptionist help. A nice conclusion. read more

We have used the Pleasanton Labcorp for walk-ins for routine bloods every 6 weeks or so for several years and have finally had enough of their consistently poor customer service. We are taking our business elsewhere - here is the reason. The phlebotomists are fine but it is the administration staff (one man in particular) is poor. My main complaint is the inconsistency around the walk-in availability. Earlier this year we were told walk-ins close at 11am which was not true. A few weeks ago I arrived at 3.50pm and was told it closed for walks ins at 3:45pm. This week I rushed there after school. There was an EMPTY waiting room and I was be told by the usual unhelpful admin person that they closed for walk-ins at 2pm. I asked if I could phone ahead to find out when walk-ins closed and he said NO that they were too busy! I asked again then how am I supposed to know when to come and he insisted the only way was to come in person and find out. I phoned the corporate customer service to complain and she said that is not true and you can always phone their number to find out. Also their appointments are always booked out at least 3 weeks in advance so not ideal if you need your appointment in a hurry. My advice is to find a different company or Labcorp office and save yourself the hassle of consistently poor availability. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Labcorp location I came in today for an H. pylori breath test and waited for over two hours while several walk-in patients who arrived later were called before me. When I politely asked the front desk about the delay, the older Indian male staff member became angry and spoke to me rudely for no reason. Later, when I was finally called in, the same staff and a female technician treated me disrespectfully throughout the process -- questioning whether I could understand the instructions, interrupting me while I was reading, and finally taking away my test kit without allowing me to finish the test. I have never experienced such unprofessional and discriminatory behavior at Labcorp before. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, not hostility. I hope Labcorp management investigates this incident seriously and ensures it doesn't happen again. read more

5 stars for customer service - after checking in at the kiosk I waited about 10-15 minutes. The young lady who helped me greeted me and asked how my day was. When she handed back my insurance card she didn't just slide it across the table but handed it over to me. She walked me to the blood draw room and I wanted a few more minutes. The other lady was just as professional and fast! What a difference in service compared to San Ramon. Like night and day. The whole company is a disorganized joke. I drove from one lapcorp that was supposed to be open but wasn't, so I cam here. Online and phone recording say open until 4pm. Upon my 3pm arrival and already checked in. The employee made an announcement that only patients with appointments would be seen, even if you had already checked in because she is closing early today at 3:30pm. My daughter came here a couple days ago and developed a hematoma from the phlebotomist messing up. It was the most painful blood draw she's ever had. She said the place was nice and clean, and the phlebotomist was kind but really rough while changing the tubes. Her arm swelled up within an hour and developed a nasty bruise. They seemed to have cut staff to the bone. Went in just after 7:30am opening, not many people waiting, but I'm still waiting at 8:30. There is one person who checks in and takes the blood tests. There are what appear to be workers keying in thru a security door, but no one comes to assist on the front end to help with check in and testing. I'm going to try a different lab. read more
