I came here when this place was first opened and I was very disappointed with the front desk receptionists- the way they treated older non English speaking patients was horrible and disrespectful. I stop coming back. Few months ago I decided to give them another try and started visiting this location again hoping things had changed for the better. I was pleasantly surprised-they changed receptionist. Melida is the new receptionist and she is amazing! She has one of the most bubbly personality I've ever met, she's kind and helpful to all patients (young, old and all ethnicities). She's a breath of fresh air with a sunshine personality. I've been here at least five times in the past few months and each time I observe, she's genuinely friendly, respectful and kind to ever one of the patients. Because of Melida ( not sure if I spell her name right) I think this place is the best quest location! As for the people taking the blood test in the back, they are also great and I don't have any complaints. read more

Sick people coughing oh yea I waited a hour just to tell me they didn't except my insurance which is VHP!They sent me go to a different location down the street on Burdette dr which is full of sick people vomit on the damn floor when you walk in !! I resist not to write review and move on by not going to this place again (In fact, we will avoid Quest after our recent experience with them), but I'm sure others might have similar experience. I took my 4 years old to get some blood tests done at this center (recommended by her physician). We were 5 mins late, but the front desk is kind enough to allow us. As we were walking I see blood sample bottles on the floor in the other counter. The phlebotomist (woman) started drawing blood from the right hand of my daughter, after drawing 2 bottles she couldn't draw more as she didn't insert the needle on the right vein. She said that she couldn't use those bottles, so she has to try on the other hand. By that time my heart dropped as I couldn't see my daughter's pain, she was brave enough to allow the phlebotomist to draw from the left hand. She drew 4 more bottles of blood. After 2-3 days, I got call from the Lab supervisor that because of the phlebotomist carelessness they couldn't use the blood that she drew, so she asked to bring my daughter again so that this time supervisor herself will draw the blood. I just told her that I don't want to bring my daughter to this place again and hung up. After few weeks, I got bill from Quest that they were able to successfully done few tests and they are sending bill for those tests. How can I trust this Lab after this experience, after their supervisor called and said they couldn't use any of the blood samples? read more

Is it possible to give 0 stars? I made an appt and signed in, waited for 10 mins for someone to get to the front and then they barely checked me in. What was the point of making an appt then? I agree with the other reviews. The staff here are very unprofessional. They swear as if they're not at work and talk out loud about their personal life. The whole room can hear what they're talking about and they're cussing and talking like this isn't a professional environment. Quest must have some really low qualification standards to hire these people. Not to mention I bled and bruised pretty bad, which doesn't happen at any other place i go to. Where do I begin... really bad experience here. I went in on Wednesday for my 1 hour glucose test. I had an appointment but they still took the walk ins before me and I had to wait 20 mins. The lady at the front desk was the same lady that drew my blood. I don't know if she was hungover, in a bad mood or what, but horrible customer service. When she drew my blood she missed my vein, said "oops I'm sorry" kept the needle in as she proceeded to poke around until she got some blood. I've had many blood draws in my 3 pregnancies and this had never happened. My arm was throbbing 2 hours after. So now fast forward to today when I find out that for the 1 hour glucose test, they're suppose to give you 50 grams of glucose drink, this lady gave me 75grams. That's for the 2 hour test. I really hope this doesn't affect my results. This woman should not be working there. Horrible customer service. I have chosen to go to this location bc it's close to my house. This place has 1 star because of irresponsible people(customers). I saw (no joke) 15 to 20 people try to come in within the last 5 minutes of this place closing. These people are obligated to serve anyone that's in the door. Consider this, it takes 5 minutes, at-least, to serve one customer. Now 20 people have walked thru the door in the last 5 minutes. Rude staff! Went there for drug testing and they ask me is it urine or blood test? I told her i don't know, it's for employment. Staff won't give you proper instructions. Asked me if i'm full bladder and told her yes, i feel i am on full bladder! And said if you are not sure you need to drink water first.I went to my car and get water & drink a bottled of water. Atleast they give me proper instructions that i am not allowed too. When i came back i approached one of the staff the one who is curly hair, and told me " someone called you you didn't hear it? Go to Room 1." I went to room 1 and one staff assist me, and give me the instructions, but unfortunately when i peed my sample is not enough. I asked her whom should i approached when i am ready again to pee, and told me " just go there" . So sat by the waiting area, drink water and when i am about to pee coz i am really full bladder, this rude staff who is curly hair whom i approached and told her i am for drug testing and I am on full bladder and almost pee in my pants and i was surprised she answered me " Go there, it's not you, i am not calling you" I was like omg she's so rude!!!! This place is horrible to do your lab test. If there's any other Quest location you can go, never on this one. First the receptionists were both rude and they were not fit to be receptionist. The male receptionist took forever to type your paperworks and all of them keep talking. It took us 1 hour to be called just to get our lab request. There's an african-american lady phlebotomist, who will call one patient then after will rest for 10 minutes before calling another patient. She will keep talking first and let all patients waiting. Contrary to the other reviews, my recent experience at this location was excellent. I had an appointment for a blood draw at 7:30AM. I showed up at 7:10 and was immediately attended to and was out before 7:30AM. The check in process is automated using a tablet device and they had all my information once I entered my confirmation code. The receptionist and the nurse were courteous, cheerful and professional. The nurse, Diep, went over the paper work carefully and also showed me that my insurance covered the lab work. If one makes an appointment and shows up on time, I think the process works for everyone. read more

I am writing this review as I am waiting in the waiting room. The two female receptionists, a Mexican and an older Asian lady were super rude and loud. They both yell when talking to patients and doesn't say please or thank you. Even kids have better manners than them. Right when I got in, I handed the receptionist my doctor's note and she asks for my Insurance and the doctor's note, I told her I just handed to her, and she yells "this is not a doctor's note, I need another one!" First off, don't be yelling lady, it's only 6:30am, maybe next time you can ask nicely, an older Asian lady came up and told that is the doctor's note and she just said "oh" and didn't even bother to apologize. I am not sure how management don't say anything to them. It seems like other reviewers on here are complaining about the same thing. This is just ridiculous, you guys are not doctors or even nurses, so calm down and stop yelling ladies. The worst part of these reviews were from people who believe in perfection. Even though they don't have their paperwork, an appointment, or proof of insurance. The front desk has to spend hours because you just showed up and expected full service. I've been to a lab on Forrest ave near Westfield. You want incompetence? go to that Lab and see how you're treated. I had an appointment, paperwork, and insurance for the other lab. But still with one patient ahead of me they still took one hour to see me, Bruise my arm and miss even though I have an injection site from many years. I walked into this quest Labs with low expectations because of my previous experience. I was surprised of a couple of things. These ladies bust their asses working with patients. I've stated most above but in addition there's a language barrier with many of the non English speaking patients. So my name gets called and I had all my paperwork in order. I was seen my a Chinese girl named Ann? sorry I was nervous so I didn't ask again. She took me and explained the procedure. I told her I was ready but please count to 3 so I can steady myself, She agreed. Did I mention at the other lab they ignored me? I felt light headed and went ghost white. I swore at them and reminded them, I told you to tell me when you stick me!!! Ann took care of me and counted to 3. I didn't feel a thing and she drew like 4 tubes. She constantly checked how I was doing and cracked some jokes. All was done and I was on my way. Thanks again Quest. You've made up for the lack of care from the other labs I've been to. read more

TL:DR , If you are bringing an elderly person who has visual or auditory impairments, do not come here. SOO STORY TIME: We arrived at 745AM For our 8 AM appointment but didn't get called at 815AM. We had to sit in front of the doors in the lobby because the waiting room was full. When the employee stated my dads name, I rushed to the door only to find no one there. When the employee came back, she proceeded to call ANOTHER name. I asked her where my dad should go and she said he has to wait because she called his name and we didn't answer. How is that literally possible ?? I walked to her in less than 15 seconds. She said she called our name earlier but we didn't answer. Again, how is that possible ? It's 7:45 AM. The atmosphere is so quiet and it's just people waiting for their name to be called. She proceeds to continue to take another patient and says she will be with us next. Now it's 8:25 and we still haven't been helped. I head to the door to find another employee who just finished to ask if someone could Please assist my dad as we have been waiting since 7:45. He says he's on break and can't help us(which is understandable because ya know, labor laws) but then he just walks away ?? He doesn't call anyone to come talk to us or anything. Then Co Lan, another employee, (literally light of my life because she was SO nice) was finally able to help us. We were obviously very frustrated because what if my dad (who is elderly and has mobile and visual impairment) had gone by himself ??? He would've literally been there for over an HOUR. I asked Co Lan what the steps were for them to call out people and she said they are suppose to call the name in the waiting room and go to the lobby and then call the patient. It was apparent she did not follow protocol. An extra 7 steps to the lobby could've prevented an unnecessary extra 45 mins at this office. I can't imagine the barriers a deaf or blind person (toppled with language barriers) would have at this office. There needs to be stricter protocol in place at this location as I am utterly speechless with this experience. read more

The only reason that this place has low reviews is because most of the customers who come to this location are RUDE, impatient and RACIST. If I were an employee of Quest, I wouldn't be half as nice as most of the employees that I see here on the regular. The staff here is amazing and if it weren't for customers who come in complaining about wait times when they don't even speak English, have their insurance cards on hand or their lab orders filled out correctly then the wait times wouldn't be SO long. My wife had an appointment and when we got there they instructed us to check in on our phone and they'd text us when it was her turn. We got the text and my wife went and they said "oh we called your name but you didn't answer so you missed your appointment" and then they registered her as a walk-in. Why do you tell someone they can wait in the car but if they don't show up immediately when you call their name you mark them as a missed appointment?! And when she waited in side she noticed they weren't calling anyone's phone numbers. They call the persons name twice in the lobby and if that person doesn't immediately show up , they skip them as a missed appointment. This is ridiculous but these people obviously don't care and are clearly lying to their customers. But I'm sure they are just doing whatever is most convenient for them. My advice is to show up 15 minutes before your "appointment" and don't wait in your car or you'll be marked as a missed appointment. Wait in the lobby so you can make it during the 3 second window when they call your name twice in the lobby before going on to the next person. Appointments here are useless. They need to fix their systems. And looking through their Yelp reviews it looks like this is a common and recurring issue. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I walked in (in a fantastic mood I should add), and approached the front desk where I was ignored by TWO receptionists for a good 3 minutes. I finally asked if I'm supposed to sign in or something and the woman rolled her eyes and snorted "Um yeah." Whatever. I brushed it off and proceeded to sit down and wait to be called back up. In the meantime, the same female receptionist consistently used vulgarities to describe patients as they walked in/out of the office. She also took patients out of order and never even called the guy who arrived before me in the entire hour and a half or so that I was there. She was just so incredibly rude and unprofessional; I'm really not sure how she even got hired. To top it off, after waiting an hour for a routine urine test, I approached the desk again to ask how much longer (an estimate) I may be waiting, and the male receptionist responded rudely and without making eye contact, "There are 2 patients ahead of you." I kindly rephrased my question. He gave me the exact same response. Overall, just awful customer service at this place. I know it's not a pleasant place to go, and many of us aren't here by choice, but it really isn't hard to be kind, respectful, and at least pretend you like your job.
