We had used this group previously and never had an issue. Today was disappointing. Our third stop today was supposed to be quick and then home for dinner. The wait was more than two hours. The groceries have cooked themselves in then car trunk, and my wife is an hour overdue for her medications. Another client doing a urinalysis is waiting to redo it because the toilet would not stop, ruining the dye marker used in the bowl. It also sounds like the office is short staffed (two people?) More people are arriving.. I would stay around just to measure the wait but I'm going home and will try to salvage my two racks of partially cooked ribs from the trunk. read more

The location does not have a person to facilitate the check in process/ answer questions and if I could I would add zero starts for lack of service. I only needed to drop off labs, was waiting to talk to a human for quite a while, the unhelpful employee advised that I still need to sign in for drop off... of course the only options to sign in were for walk in appointments. What a horrible experience! I came here to do a drug test for a new job, made the appointment online, got the emails and everything verified before I drove over here. There was a long wait because they were already behind when I walked in 20 minutes early. Then somebody came out and just announced that if anybody was here for a drug test, they only did those between one and 4 PM! Turned around, slammed the door! Totally ignoring the fact that I had raised my hand and stated that I had an issue with it. There really is no big expectation for customer service in this industry anymore. You were basically cattle that are shuffled around from lab lab and we were taught to have no expectation of having anyone be kind or treat anyone with respect. But this is kind of the last straw! Quest diagnostics. If it all possible, I will do everything in my power to make sure that you never get another dime from me or my insurance company. read more

I do not doubt that people have had bad experiences at this Quest Diagnostics in the past, based on the reviews, but for that reason I would just like to say my visit today was extremely pleasant! The customer service was amazing, my phlebotomist calmed my nerves as someone who has a phobia of needles, and I was in and out in 5 minutes!! Online scheduling went smoothly, zero complaints here. The care was amazing and definitely a wonderful suprise considering the anxiety I was given reading some reviews. read more

My experience at this location was less then favorable, primarily because of the person covering the front desk however the phlebotomist was great, she is the only reason for my 3 Star rating otherwise I would recommend going to another location. At 18weeks pregnant, I was given a very hard time because I did not have a hard copy of my insurance card and it was almost like pulling teeth or bothersome to get the fax information I needed. It continued becoming a struggle to have an insurance representative speak with the front desk person, whom initially refused to speak with them. Needless to say I spent over an hour to get the lab requests finally done. read more

I made the mistake of walking through the door at 12:03 pm Tuesday, November 24. Receptionist had a patient at her window. The first thing I heard was a woman yell "No way. Door is locked. Come back at 1." I wasn't even sure if she was talking to me. So I went back at 1 and asked to speak to the office manager. The receptionist asked "Why?" I told her I had a complaint. Another woman appeared and I told her what happened earlier. The receptionist started yelling and denied what she had said. Things escalated and the other woman asked me to step outside the office with her. She apologized about the receptionist's behavior and gave me the card for her off site manager. It took 2 days for this person to call me back. The manager said she would speak to the employee about the situation. I would highly recommend that anyone needing lab work done to avoid this particular Quest Diagnostics location. Hopefully you will not have to experience this kind of treatment. Remember you are a paying customer and you have the right not to be treated so rudely. read more

Awful experience here. We had a baby two days ago and were 10 minutes late since my wife was feeding her. They made us make an appointment for over two hours later despite there being 4 staff members free and the tv claiming zero patient were being currently served. The inability to be flexible is absolutely absurd. Too bad I can't leave a zero star review. read more

Great place for a glucose tolerance test! This location even has a private relaxation room for preggos taking the three hour test, with a tv! Very nice touch, and made the tone go by quickly. Staff was very kind also! The whole building has WiFi, so great to either get some work done, or binge on some Netflix shows while you wait. read more

Had to do a drug screen for employment at this location. I went to the website to try and book an appointment but could only book 6 months from now...that can't be right. So I did a walk in around 9:30 AM. I filled out my registration on the iPad and was at no time stopped during the process of check in. There was only 1 person ahead of me and 1 person behind me. When I was called to the front desk I was told drug screens are only 1-4. I explained that I didn't know this but that I am here now, I'm happy to wait for them to finish with other patients but could they go ahead and work with me. I was told no; the front desk lady (brown hair with glasses) sounded like a robot, as if she couldn't think for herself, she just kept repeating "we can only do 1-4." What is that? How is that customer service? I could understand if there was a room full of patients but this place was a ghost town. Extremely odd behavior & poor service. If I could, I would definitely advise going somewhere else. I get that you have policies but if you're not busy and just standing around, help your customers. read more

This has been my "go to" lab since they first opened, which has been about 4-5 years. I drive past 2 other Quest labs just to get to this one. I have always had great service with no problems. However, during my various visits, which may number about 6 to 8 visits a year, I have witnessed several less than respectful attitudes from those who came for service. It is usually from those who don't have an appointment, don't want to get out their insurance cards, or basically don't want to follow the rules of a service that is responsible for producing exacting results. While not necessarily a cheerful place, I have always found them to be respectful and responsive, from the front desk to the technicians. If I'm nice to them, they are nice to me. I am very appreciative that this office was always open during the pandemic. They are not provided with a private entrance from which to come and go, so must enter in the mornings, going past a line of those waiting for the office to open, unlock the door to get in, then relock the door until officially open for the day. I have heard some unbelievably nasty comments from those waiting, simply because the employees are following the rules. That starts the day for the employees who are supposed to be cheerful to those who trashed them from the very start. There's two sides to every story!! read more

Quest diagnostics has the corporate mentality that the customer does not deserve convenience, and fast response because they are captured by us and have no where else to turn. Quest has the most branches in their call tree than any company I have ever dealt with. With each selection you are directed to another branch with another 8 options. That goes on and on and on and finally when you get an option to actually speak to someone, that person sends you back to the call tree asking the very same questions and it goes on and on and on. The system to navigate on line is not user friendly. It also sends you in a loop and never seems to reach what you're trying to accomplish with no explanation. Quest provides very poor customer service through the phone tree and computer. At the physical location the people are nice but they are robots. You can't order a test there or pay for a test there. They send you back to the internet and here we go again. They tell you to do everything by phone or on-line. For a medical service it is by far the worst in providing concern and care. It is amazing how Quest has no consideration for the patients time. They expect you to spend an hour or more doing what a paid scheduler should be doing. No personal touch. Pathetic. I'll leave with one positive. At least the call center was in the U.S. and not India or somewhere else. I'm sure soon it will likely be outsourced. Disappointed. read more

I had an appointment today and arrived a few minutes early. When I was called to go back the nurse took my insurance and ID and said she would be back for me in a moment. Meanwhile, my husband (who had an appointment after mine) and 3 other people were called to go back. After waiting without information for 15 mins, a different nurse called me back. I wish the nurse had a name tag on, because I would recommend you NOT allow this nurse to draw your blood. Twice while he was drawing my blood he moved the needle around causing blood to pour out of my arm. The second time he did it blood ran down my arm and pooled by my leg because he kept trying to fill the vile even after seeing the blood pouring out of my arm. He made no comment about the blood and did not apologize. I do not have confidence in a location which employs uncertain nurses. read more

First time visiting this location to have labs drawn on my son. There was no one here. It was so quiet when we walked in. The front desk was ok. I think she was new and didn't know how to pull up our insurance information. Once we got to the back the lady there was so funny. My son who has had labs done so many times in the past month and getting labs is nothing to him. He loves to watch what the tech does step by step. She also fixed our insurance information. I have to say it was a great experience coming here. My son loved being entertained. Sometimes getting labs done is not fun but this time it was very entertaining. I wouldn't mind coming back to this location because the wait is so much shorter than other QD. Regarding your office at 18707 Hardy Oaks Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78258: I have never been there even once when the staff wasn't astonishingly rude. Smug. Condescending. Unwilling to be helpful to its clients. Turning them away if they were walk-ins -- including me. Its location was very convenient; otherwise, I would never have been a repeat customer. Your online services are so not user-friendly, I one day went out of my way to go in person to the office to set up an appointment. While there, the female employee informed me that if they had been at all busy she would never have helped me. (I was the only one there. One man left as I entered.) After coming out of the back room, two ladies were in the waiting room. One of them had walked in for a lab test. She explained to the woman who had helped me that she had come on another day when she had an appointment, but no one ever called her in. She stated she arrived before her appointment time. In the meantime, a man with a nearly bald head and was thin came out from the back room and joined in the conversation. He was so smug and condescending. He said they would have called her in if she had been there at the time of her appointment. He said obviously she was not on time. He and his coworker both informed her they would not help her. She pointed out they weren't busy. The man said they were very busy and had no time for her. "We assist people who are on time for their appointments," he said scornfully. The woman left furious, swearing. The female Quest employee apologized to me and the other woman standing by that we had to hear that swearing. I refrained from saying the swearing was sweet music compared to the vomit they had spit out. That office needs to be closed, the employees fired, and the premises fumigated! I can't think you have ever read the scathing reviews that office has received. They support my viewpoint completely. If I had not witnessed that scene, I still would never return there. Those employees are toxic. I hope I am never forced to do business with Quest again, and I will certainly never recommend it. I went for a blood draw yesterday morning, and this was literally a ridiculously easy process. I made an appointment online last week, checked in on the digital keyboard when I got there yesterday, and then watched my name appear on a monitor with an estimated time to be seen. Within just a couple of minutes, I was called back by one of the 2 plebobotomists on duty. They both seemed very friendly and worked quickly from what I could tell. The woman helping me input my insurance info quickly, had me sign an authorization, then drew my blood. Seriously, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes from the time I arrived to when I left. I would definitely use them again. read more
