DO NOT GO HERE. If I could have given it a zero I would have. A long short I got there 10 minutes early and did exactly what the board told me to. Check in. No one was there my appointment was for 3:45 and it was 3:35. I heard voices in the back so I waited. 5 min later out walk a patient. 5 min after that a gentleman walks in store and signs in. At 4:50 someone took him back( apparently the only person that was working.) The light over the reception area went off and I looked at my watch thought I must be the last appointment. At this point they were late but I understand things happen. 4:55 the man who came after me leaves and three minutes later at 4:58 the gentleman assuming a phlebotomist call me in. I went and sat down and he asked the spelling of my name not once but four different times (as I don't have an easy name I didn't think much of it at the time). He turns and says you're not in the system I said I have to be I spoke with my doctors office this morning to confirm. Well you're not he says. I quickly telephoned to my doctor as I was sitting there. The nurse that answered the phone said I was in the system but to hold on as she would check one other thing. In the meantime the quest lab man standing over me decided to tell me that he had things to do so I had to leave. I was the last appointment of his day and it was now 405 He said I had to leave- I said absolutely not I am in the system according to the doctor. He said I've already shut down the system so you have to leave now. I said absolutely not I need my blood drawn. He said if you don't leave I'll call the police. I said to him you took the other gentleman before me even though he came after me. He said he had an appointment and was running late I said so did I and I was early you should have taken him after me if he was late. At that point I got mad and told him I didn't care what he had to do to close up - his job was to take my blood. He said he wouldn't draw my blood and he was going to call the police. That was at 4:10 and I started to leave and as I was walking out the door I said please give me your supervisors name and he wrote it down on little Post-it and threw it at me and I said no no I want the phone number too. Needless to say he gave me a bogus name and phone number. Worst experience ever. read more

Very unprofessional. I had scheduled an appointment to go to this quest for 8:40 am, I was so excited to have a quest so near me to go to. Upon arrival, the lady at check in told me I may check in on my phone and wait outside (due to COVID) or check in and wait inside. I choose to wait outside where they text you at your appointment and their website even advertises that this is okay. After 20 mins of waiting, a lady came out to say she called my name (when she didn't). When I told her I wasn't called she said she called my name inside?! Then she proceeded to take my insurance and doctors note and tell me I has to now wait another 1/2 hour. I understand COVID making everything a little more difficult but waiting an hour for a blood test that I scheduled two weeks in advance?? And then being told it was basically my fault for being outside when at check in it asks where you'd prefer to wait?? I left, I will be scheduling an appointment elsewhere. I had a horrible experience. When I walked in there was a sign that read check in walk in and appointment. I proceeded to check in as a walk in on the kiosk and it said the technician will call #1 since I didn't have an appointment. I waited for an hour until someone finally acknowledged I was sitting there. She was very rude and I felt very disrespected she proceeded to tell me that I didn't sign in and I was not in the system and by the way they aren't taking walk ins. If I would of checked in with a live person I would of saved my time and embarrassment. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE STAFF NEVER GO HERE!!! The board said wait 20min so I set an alarm to come back because the waiting room was packed and unbearably freezing. Came back exactly 18min and my name had already been called. No receptionist available to talk to and had to wait another 20min. Very rude staff are working out there. NEVER GO to Palos Verses branch. They may not take care of your tests due to lack of enough staff and they do not notify you before getting there or they do not reschedule your appointment before you get there. One man show. However, the issue is not about waiting time but worst 1, unprofessional in addressing customers 2, unethical. She did not do any weight/height measurements and blood pressure but yet make up the numbers. 3, terrible skills (maybe due to rushed service?) she poked me on the right, which was very good, not feeling anything. But then she pushed the tube in and somehow not in, she changed another one, and then another one, and the needle came off, it hurts so bad. Unfortunately I have had to visit several recently but this is by far and away the very best of all the locations I have ever used. The employees were helpful, pleasant, accommodating and competent. I brought my daughter here Saturday morning as a walk in at 11:15 am. The waiting room was nearly full. SLOW IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! The one person there was doing everything herself with no assistance. If you value your time STAY AWAY. A routine blood draw should not take 1 hour and 15 minutes before being called in. There is no receptionist. One poor patient who arrived sometime before us was there for a drug test. When called back she was told sorry this location doesn't do that sort of test! That's over an hour wasted which could've been avoided if this location had a person doing check in. Ridiculous. read more

This Quest recently opened 3 weeks ago. It's located in the same strip mall as Bristol Farms, Domino's, and CVS on Silver Spur Road. We went in today with an appointment. The place was empty, and we were in and out in 5 minutes. This place beats driving down to Torrance if you live on the hill. Better take advantage before more people find out! read more

I drive by 2 other Quests and 25 min away from home to come to this location near my work even on my days off. I always make an appointment and have my lab slip to speed things along. I'm a hard-stick and Darah has seen me all 3 times I've come in. She is fabulous and a big reason I come back. I've HATED the Quests near Torrance Memorial because they are so crowded, they've not been able to get my veins on 3 separate occasions prompting me to have to go elsewhere and have run out of butterfly needles on 2 visits. To save myself frustration of the whole ordeal, I went out of network and paid more to Lab Corp for years. Then this Quest opened near my work and I decided to brave it and try again. Make an appointment, have your lab slip and hydrate starting the day before for (hopefully) plumper veins. I wasn't needing to fast, so I even hydrate way before appt. read more

We had an appointment at 8:45am., service completed at 8:55am. Good service! Facility is clean, organized, & efficient.

The first time I was there, I was told that she did not have the stuff needed to do my test on that day. She promised that next time I come in, she would do it right away. I showed up a couple of days later, this time it is a male nurse and it is a one man show. There are 3-4 people in front of me and he said he had to finish theirs first. It took him like 15 minutes to do one. But I have a time frame that my test has to be done, and I had to miss it again. Very frustrated. Quest should hire one more person for the customer. read more

They do not answer their phone. You cannot speak to a person. I have left messages to call me back twice and they do not call back. However, this is more an issue with Quest Diagnostics itself, and not just this particular location. Quest has an impossible phone system and they make it almost impossible to speak with a person. I'm sure this is by design: they do not want you to speak with anyone, because this costs them money. It is part of their business model. I am extremely disappointed with Quest because of this. Their phone system is terrible, because you cannot speak with anyone. They do this on purpose.....for the sake of profits. Shame on you Quest! You can fix this if you want. I'm sure the lab tests are very good and trustworthy, but their business model which does not allow you to speak with anyone when you call is terrible. read more

i want to start by saying that i have pretty deep veins and bc i always have issues i do everything i can to prep (water, keeping my body warm, etc.) but this facility is by far the best i've ever been to. i have to get my blood drawn regularly and the first quest i went to 2 phlebotomists tried but neither could get my vein in either arms or hands, leaving me w bruising everywhere and had to come back a second time. i only agreed bc it was near my house, second time was a fail as well which left me frustrated and uncomfortable. i started going to a torrance quest and they were able to do it first try every time, i was in love. a couple weeks ago i went and it was so intensely crowded (which is pretty normal, but i had to get to work) so i decided to give the new pv facility a go. i got in almost instantly, the woman was really kind but straight to the point (small talk makes me nervous sometimes). i warned her that my veins can be hard, explained my experiences, and she found it right when she went to feel (i swear she was thinking "not on my watch"). she got that needle in perfectly, i dont know (nor do i care) if it was a "good day" or she got "lucky", but to me that's a sign of someone who knows how to do their job and most likely loves their job as well. i was in and out in less than 15 minutes, which is a blessing for someone who has to do this regularly. however, the reason i decided to write this review is bc the cherry on top was that i had absolutely no bruising!! usually i'll have a bruise that stems down my arm which i get insecure about and have to cover for a week or two. i was SO impressed, and it was absolutely worth the drive up the hill. i wish i remembered the woman's name bc i want her to know how much it meant to me. thanks!! read more
