Exceptional Care and Compassion from Ms. Augustina! My husband has a severe phobia of needles and medical facilities, so just getting him through the door is a massive hurdle. We had an appointment at noon, but due to a system glitch, our mobile check-in didn't register inside. When I went up to inquire, I met Ms. Augustina, and she was an absolute angel. Not only was she friendly and accommodating about the system error, but she was incredibly understanding when I explained my husband's anxiety. To make matters worse, I realized we had left the doctor's lab order at home. Instead of turning us away, Ms. Augustina kindly told me to hurry home, grab the documents, and come right back. When I returned, her patient and soothing demeanor completely put my husband at ease. She went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, and because of her gentle approach, she was able to successfully draw his blood. We are quick to leave negative reviews when things go wrong, but incredible service like this deserves to be recognized. I am immensely grateful to Ms. Augustina for turning a highly stressful situation into a smooth, positive experience. This location is lucky to have her! read more

I usually hate coming to quest or any place similar to this because my veins are hard to find. Surprisingly, everything went smoothly. You can schedule an appt ahead of time online or do a walk in. I scheduled my appointment online. Once inside you check in at the kiosk. I was waiting less than 10 minutes when I was called in. Carroll was great! I always bruise and I didn't with her! She found my veins easily. Not everyone has the talent to find veins, insert the needle in the correct place and be able to draw blood fluently, but the whole process was painless with her. I am extremely disappointed with the service at the Quest Diagnostics location at 12237 Pembroke Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025. I personally went to this location the day before and specifically asked whether they accept walk-ins without an appointment. I was clearly told yes, although walk-in patients may have to wait. Because my husband needed a very important blood test, he woke up at 5:00 a.m. and arrived at this location at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28. He understood that he might have to wait, but he went early specifically to be seen as a walk-in. Instead, the employee working at approximately 6:00 a.m. told him that the next appointment available was at 11:00 a.m. He was not there to schedule an appointment. He was there to be seen as a walk-in, exactly as we had been told was permitted the day before. What was even more upsetting was witnessing how this employee treated an older woman who was having difficulty with the self check-in machine. The woman accidentally checked in twice, and instead of patiently helping her, the employee raised her voice and spoke to her disrespectfully. These machines can be confusing, especially for elderly patients, and no one should be treated poorly because they need assistance. This is completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Patients may be fasting, elderly, worried about their health, or there for important medical testing. They deserve patience, compassion, dignity, and respect. If this location does not accept walk-ins, patients should be told that clearly and consistently. We should not be told one thing one day and then be treated completely differently the following morning after getting up at 5:00 a.m. to be there when the location opened. I sincerely hope Quest Diagnostics management reviews what happened at this specific location on Friday, August 28, at approximately 6:00 a.m., including the conduct of the employee working at that time. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR HEALTH. I came in for routine bloodwork as requested by my doctor. I made the appointment a week in advance, and checked in on time using the link that was sent to me. Right off the bat, the employee who came to call me back seemed like she must've been having a bad day or something. She called my name like I was her worst enemy for no reason. Once in the room, she told me they don't have my doctors orders and can't do anything. I told her my doctor is the one who told me to come, and that if there was an issue with the paperwork I should've been told before I came. She said that it was common sense that I should have known. How could I know when my doctor told me that I was good? Also, there's no need to be so rude, and now I was worried about this person potentially putting a needle in my arm. I went outside and called my doctor, and she asked to speak with someone there. They refused, rolled their eyes, and said "if it's not in the system, it's not in the system." I kept telling them I understand and that I'm trying to resolve that, but they wouldn't listen. So I ended up not being able to have the appointment, and I'll have to reschedule but my prescription has now run out. Multiple employees were extremely rude. The lobby attendant was sitting in a chair in the waiting room blending in with the patients so she was essentially useless because nobody even knew she was there. Luck was on my side because they called my name to draw my blood. The woman who drew my blood was the best! I told her that the worst part for me was the dreaded tourniquet. I seen people who had also made an appointment leave because they had other things to do and couldn't continuously wait for an additional hour after the appointment time and all a staff member said was "make an appointment in the morning we MIGHT be able to get you in sooner" then what is the point for making an appointment?? I live near the Pembroke Pines Quest Diagnostics facility but unfortunately I chose the one in plantation because the one in Pembroke Pines got really bad reviews and I tend to judge by that... I do know since the pandemic things have gone downhill and employment is not what it used to be but customer service still needs to remain the same... The good is that this Quest Lab is conveniently located in the plaza on Flamingo and Pembroke Road. You can quickly get to the mall and many good restaurants on Pines for therapy afterwards. I've always had staff that can draw blood quickly and leave no bruising. The bad is the wait time. You sign in at a kiosk and have a seat. There is something lacking when you don't sign in at a desk with a human being. Then you see all the others waiting and think should I leave or should stay. Yesterday they had a monitor up and showed I had 20 minutes to be seen. I think it was over by 10 minutes but not the worst wait at a lab. The waiting area is boring. It's not decorated nice and the chairs are really basic. The ugly is that no one wants to do blood work and wait for results. In other countries you can find out results much faster. If it's your health and your insurance why does one have to wait for the doctor to see the results first? read more

I registered my appt on line, printed appointment receipt, arrived on time, checked in on time at the kiosk, however, it went down from there we waited an hour, I had to approach tech several times to be seen! even the walkin went before my " scheduled" appointment.. The Tech ..was nice but inexperienced w lab protocol.. we waited another 40 minuites while she attempted to figure out Quanum software... needles to say go else where.. quest pemproke pines.. on flamingo and pembroke road don't go there the tech took so long..inputting the lab requisition information.. it timed out after an hour ... We have to return on Saturday bc I was not going to put my son through this torture again .. I am trying my best not to be upset.. went back on Saturday bc the tech on Friday was unable to complete the intake .. my son was left slumped over in the lab chair for over an hour.. Is this how you take care of the sick? on Satuday it was no better the lab techs where no better .. the manager was called, she was too busy listening to herself talk amd did not once ask me about the service i received .. This is not my first time getting blood drawn in this location but this is my second encounter with this particular woman who may be the lead patient access personell for this branch. Today, she was in Window 1. I verbalized to her that my doctor had faxed her office the actual order and she stared at me and was waiting for me to hand her the physical order. Ostentatiously, she told me that she could not find it after I redundantly gave her my surname which has two parts and can be easily mis-categorized. In this case, it happened. But she quickly jumped to the conclusion that there was no order. Moreover, this lady and her colleague who is immediately sitting next to her were makig conversation while she was processing me, making me feel like she was not focusing on my case. She had asked for my doctor's information which is (to me) CLEARLY, written on the fax, and I had to make multiple calls to my MD to satisfy this lady's requests even when the information was there. Her lack of professionalism, zero-level of being engaged with the clientele and not thoroughly looking at the documents have made this last encounter here so horrific. It's never a thrill to have bloodwork done, but this location does an excellent job accommodating thier customers. Unlike so many other such places, this one is bright, very clean and as efficient as can be. The biggest plus is the staff. They are always pleasant, smiling and freindly. Nice job by all! read more

This quest location did a great job in a timely manner for the most part. I only had a minor issue. I had an appointment 7:15 am ( got there at 7:10 am) , I registered on their tablet with my confirmation number, saw my name jump on top of the list to be called in 1 minute on the screen, and they started calling everyone else in the room. When I looked, my name was not on the screen, I asked a technician that came out that call another person why, and even the lady that was called said, "she was here first than me". They shouldn't erase the name and not go get you, I waited an ~ extra 5 minutes, and I purposely got a very early appointment to make it to work on time. Not nice! Regardless, the rest of the experience at this Quest was pleasant. The phlebotomist was very nice, was pretty gentle ( as gentle as someone sticking you with a needle can be), got my vein in one shot, had a clean workspace, and did not make me bruise. The location was tidy and seemed very organized and the bathroom was clean. Also peps download the Quest app if you do labs there. I love the Quest app, in which you can review your previous labs and make appointments..... very handy! Would come back to this location. read more

After waiting over an hour for my appointment with no clear answer on when I would be able to be served or what the process even was, I got fed up. I am sympathetic to long wait times during a pandemic and understand that there must be enhanced cleaning procedures, but there is no excuse for the extremely poor communication and overbooking. People were huddled around waiting to hear the single nurse who was in charge of speaking to the entire crowd with a mixture of contradictory information and confusing instructions. People with later appointment were brought in earlier, people who thought they were signed in actually weren't (despite confirmation saying they were), and lines extended around the shopping center. If you want an overbooked and confusing experience with exceptionally long wait times, I couldn't recommend this location enough. read more
