Yes crazy early but other option was to go another day or location and so it shall be. I made the appointment the day before, I had my printed lab work slip, I was signed up for text alert so I clicked the text saying I am here at the building. I had never been to this location before and was impressed. I had to get bloodwork done for my employer's health insurance. Easy process setting that up online. You get a text from them the morning of your appt with a link that you click on once you arrive. You can't check in any earlier than 10 min before your appt. As soon as I was able to, I clicked on button letting them know I was there. I got an auto reply indicating that I could enter the service center and have a seat until I was called. When I walked in, there were 2 people standing who were waiting to be called. I saw the board that showed how many patients were waiting and didn't see my name which I thought was odd. As soon as I sat down, the inner door opened and they called my name! Be prepared if you are having bloodwork done for an employer, they take your height & weight. You have to take your shoes off for the height & weight which I wish I would have known so that I could have worn socks (yuck). This was my first time visiting inside this location even though I am in this plaza all the time. I have been needing to obtain updated blood work due to my last time was pre-COVID. I was seeing a new endocrinologist anyway and they always like to see fresh lab work. I made my appointment online for a Friday afternoon because I am usually free then and it was actually the next appointment available. Once they opened up labs after COVID, it was impossible to get an appointment quickly. The appointment I made was only about 2 weeks ahead of time. When I arrived, someone greeted me and opened the door for me. She asked if I had an appointment, to which I confirmed and she then led me to a screen to input my information. After I completed that step, I was led to sit in the next room and wait until I was called. A phlebotomist called for me and led me to the lab room she would be taking my blood. I have really difficult veins so I always inform nurses or phlebotomists of this. I try to make it easier for them and myself because there have been times I have had bruises due to various injection sites. I informed her most use butterflies on me but she was confident she would be able to manage without. So if you read some of my past reviews, I disclose I am diabetic. With that being said, I prick my fingers anywhere from 3-6 times daily and inject an insulin pod into my body every 3 days. A lot of prodding and poking right? I should be okay with more needles? NO! Lol I apologize every time because I am such a wuss when getting blood work! Anyway, it sucked but was not as painful as most experiences. Went here for all my labs during my pregnancy and the staff was very nice most of the time . I recommend you make an appointment ( online , need to check about a week in advance ). If you have an appointment , your wait time will be less than 10 minutes . For walk-ins , I waited about 2 hours one time and left . This office was well organized with somebody that greeted me as soon as I walked into the reception area. She had a printout with the names of all people who had an appointment for the day. After I did my check-in, it only took about 5 minutes before they called me, and shortly after that they handled what I needed to get done very efficiently and in a cordial manner. As a walk-in I understand you must wait. A gentlemen had an appointment for 11:00 am and they saw him way before his time. But when asking the staff a question they got very defensive and short with one other young lady and myself for asking a question. Mind you I have been waiting two hours and the young lady was her before me and I got here at 7:30 am. So here's and update at 10:35 am three hours later, one of the employees now admits the system glitches when about 7 or 8 of us have told them appointments were made. This location is horrible. Ms. Myriam J. the site supervisor called me back and she was very nice and apologized for how the staff acted towards us. So I changed my rating. This Quest location has a waiting room that is not large, but when I was there it was not over crowded. Check in is at a kiosk went smoothly (although it took some people longer to figure out than others). The place looks spotless. I had an appointment and was called in immediately. The lab draw areas have plenty of privacy. My technician did s perfect stick and was very sweet. So glad I will be able to go to Quest next year! read more

Zero bedside manner. It was almost 2pm on a Friday when I walk in, I was in the process or registering when an MA simply opens the door and says "we are closed". I walked in during business hours and they refused to see me. I would've accepted it if the MA wasn't so rude and displayed tremendous lack of empathy when I told her what I needed she just kept repeating "we are closed" and stand holding the door for me to walk out. Are robots replacing humans? Last time I visited Quest (perhaps a couple years ago) they had front office personnel. On this visit, guests must check in at a kiosk and a flat screen displays each guests first name and last initial with approximate wait time and whether walk in or by appointment. The front office was empty and incoming phone calls kept ringing and remained unanswered. I did not mind the kiosk but had to wait 10 minutes as the person in front of me needed extra time. I had made an appointment online. Quest emailed me a code to scan at kiosk to check in. No need to re enter my information. The phlebotomist who took my blood was very kind to me as I am so very scared of needles and blood. I should have asked her name but I was very anxious and did not remember to. Dont go here for a drug test that is time sensitive. I got my test done Friday. Got an email today, Wednesday, that they messed up my test. Their error, and I need to redo it. Go on the website, zero appointments left within this calendar year, and I already technically missed my deadline and had to ask for an extension due to their laboratory error. Now sent me a bill for the first time in March threatening to send me into collections for labs I had done in March. 2 problems 1. never had labs done in November 2. this is the first time Ive ever gotten the bill. April Fools? Also, i was eventually able to get those labs done from the above review, but had to wait an hour and 30 minutes. Finally they looked at the email I got saying they would provide me free services because of a lab error and said it "wasn't their fault". So excited to get an appointment for 9:15 this morning! Needed to be fasting so was thrilled to get such an early appointment. Get a text message to check in via SMS when arriving--I do that. This is great! They will call or text me shortly. Wow. So great!!! An hour goes by, nothing. So, getting concerned, go in to see what is happening, there I see a crowded waiting room with standing room only. Not one worker to be found. Look at big screen do not see my name. Decide to scan my QR code. Computer tells me I am now a walk in patient because AT THIS POINT I am ONE hour late so considered a walk in patient--my name pops up 98 minute wait! Decide to go grocery shopping--still fasting, go back an hour and a half later. See name on list on big screen 58minute wait and a more crowded waiting room. Probably 50 more people outside waiting in cars. This should not even pass for healthcare. I gave up--did not take a full day off for a blood draw...we ALL have a life besides this. Unable to cancel my appointment and having already checked in--I bet they will bill my insurance.. I will be watching and dispute this. I believe this company doesn't care at all about their patients--some were old and sickly, on oxygen, and afraid for their health. QUEST Diagnostic Cares ONLY about turning a profit! Sickening!! I am here for routine labs and my phlebotomist, Tequila, has the worst attitude and is very unprofessional. She didn't even acknowledge me. She did not explain anything she was doing. For example, she handed me papers to sign and didn't even ask me to sign it just pointed to it AFTER all my blood was drawn and labeled. I read the fine print and it said that I am signing to witness that the phlebotomist had me check the labels to make sure I was the correct patient before she labeled everything. That never happened and when I asked her about it she got an attitude with me. Never again. If you come here please request a different phlebotomist. read more

I have been using the lab in Sunrise for the last few years and their practice has become dangerous. I have noticed a trend toward less staff, and what staff is there is poorly trained and/or inexperienced. Twice in a row I had issues with the blood draw with a pulmonary thrombosis during the latest visit. While passing out I begged them to call 911. When I came to, I loudly demanded they call 911. They ignored me completely and stood around with puzzled expressions. I have never seen the same phlebotomist there twice, and they all seem very young, green, confused and unfamiliar with the very simple equipment they use. Think - can't locate swabs, tape, butterflys, etc. Admitting its her first day. Not using the tourniquet at all properly and then baffled why no blood comes out when she has blocked it. The kiosk was not working. They were very understaffed as well. Since I obviously did survive that VERY scary encounter, I will never go back to any Quest lab and I suggest that if you value your life you should avoid them as well. I discussed this with my primary care doctor and she will do all future blood draws in her office. She was aghast and mentioned she had been hearing a lot of complaints about Quest recently. I think the issue goes to upper management. They need to pay staff better and try to keep good hires instead of being some revolving door for young girls just out of school. My daughter is 17 and this was her first time getting her blood drawn. As the lab technician came out to bring her into a room, she mentioned that it was 2:54 and Quest closes at 3. I was walking into quest and she told my daughter that she needed to make an appointment on Monday because she would not take my daughter to get her blood drawn (explaining that after they take the blood, they need to wait and spin it, and would not be able to leave by 3). My daughter mentioned that it was not three yet ,and asked her to still take her blood . The doctor went to the back, talked to other employees, and a different lab technician came out asking her where her order form was. As I mentioned before, this was her first time getting her blood drawn and my first time dealing with a child getting their blood drawn. My daughter asked what an order form was and she responded with an attitude and was laughing, as if this is something my daughter should know. She told my daughter that they have no idea how much blood to take without this order form from our allergist who sent us here. You would think that they would call my allergist or me before the time of her appointment if they did not have an order form of how many vials to take. She told my daughter she needs to come back on Monday and my daughter proceeded to ask her when their earliest appointment is on Monday. The woman responded that she doesn't know, it's not her job to look, and that my daughter needed to go on their website and find one.They were completely UNHELPFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. I have never experienced such terrible service. I am not the type of person to leave a bad review, as I like helping businesses receive customers, but I am completely blown away with how terrible my experience at Quest Lab Diagnostics was. I love this location compared to the other ones. They have bigger waiting space and their service is fast. Depending whether you have an appointment lock down or doing a walk in, it can take roughly from 15 minutes to 45 minutes wait time during peak hour. The ladies there are always friendly. 30 minutes into waiting for them to call me it started to thunder outside so I ran to my car to grab my umbrella so if it was raining when I was done I had it. Keep in mind that this took all of 30 seconds. When I got back the guy waiting behind me asked for my name and said they had just called me. So I went back to tell them I was here and what I was doing. They proceeded to tell me to sign back in again so I did, thinking that they were going to see me next but they did not. So I had to wait an extra 30 minutes and everyone that came after me went before me. This also made me late for my other appointment I had later in the day. Almost all of the employees were rude as well. I would not recommend this quest at all. There is one 3 miles up the road that I would recommend instead of this one. read more
