I been with one medical since it was a company benefit of mine when I worked at uber back in 2015 in Phoenix and I'm a loyal devoted fan of this practice. There app alone is absolutely worth it. I can get treatment for UTIs and common colds in less than an hour. No need for urgent care or in person doctors visits. The only reason I been at an office is due to paper work an a weird viral pink eye. My doctor is awesome. He takes his own vitals and does everything meaning none of the repeating everything you just told the MA or Nurse (I'm a nurse myself so I get it) just straight to the point. My doctor remembers everything from the last visit and it's easy to message him if needed. They do labs here as well. I never spent no more than like 5 minutes in the waiting room either. Parking? Don't worry about it, they validate. Just show on up. Yes I know Amazon bought them, but Amazon owns the internet. Might as well enjoy your doctor visits

First, the punctuality is non-existent--I waited nearly 45 minutes past my appointment time with zero communication from the front desk. Once I finally left, the 'care' stopped immediately. Trying to get a response via the app or a simple follow-up on labs is like shouting into a void; they are quick to bill you but impossible to reach when you actually have a question. It's incredibly frustrating to pay a yearly membership fee just to be treated like an inconvenience. The staff is dismissive, the organization is a disaster, and the 'premium' experience is a complete myth. Save your money and your sanity--go literally anywhere else in Houston.

I love my doctor, Dr. Cassandra Wertz, and her nurse Dee. They make an awesome team, and always make me feel supported and never rushed, the way that many physicians tend to be these days. All my questions are always answered fully and I leave feeling reassured. Dee is also a rockstar when it comes to drawing blood! She makes the whole process fast and as pain free as possible. I'm not a fan of needles, and she makes it much more bearable! The facility as a whole is well-kept, crisp, and modern. There is even a little refreshment room in the waiting lounge for the patients. The only downside is that you have to pay for parking, but it is only $5 and I can usually find a spot pretty quickly. You pay for your parking at the front desk when you check out, which makes it a smoother process to leave rather than tracking down a machine. Valet is also an option.

If Sunset Clinic does NOT want to do healthcare verification, then let the patient know so they can call for themselves. When I was told I needed an XYZ transfusion (omitting the type of transfusion for my privacy), I became uneasy...even nervous. I pictured rows of "patients" sitting in a chair attached to a tube that is connected to a pole that is pulled around should a frail patient need to relieve their bladder. BUT....whoa! This was like the Business Class on British Airways. They greeted me with matching energy and welcome, telling me a little about the setup while walking me to the refreshment stand - coffee, water, juice, a variety of small snacks - and then asked, "Would you like a private or open room?" Selena was a delight, even coming back at the beginning to ensure I had everything I needed (she is a keeper, AdaptIV). I picked a private room with voice commands for music, volume, fluffy leather recliner chair, etc., and just before leaving, she said, "Would you like a warm blanket?" I felt so cared for and comforted that I wanted more transfusions (lol, not really, but you get the point). Then, the nurse (two days, different nurses, and both OUTSTANDING) explained everything, bringing things that would help me with the discomfort. I was so relaxed I fell asleep. It was nothing like I imagined; it was something I enjoyed. So....kudos to AdaptIV, but more importantly, thank you to Selena and the two nurses who cared for me (ugh, I forget their names); you all made it a lovely experience, and you were all engaging. I wanted to invite you to my house for dinner, lol....not really, but you get the idea. Thank you very much!!

Yet once Michele White the caseworker took over, she dropped the ball. Although she was the one that shared a listing of providers for cremation, she failed to enter that information under my step-fathers case. Once he passed, the nurse Jariah called a company that is contracted by Harris County to come pick him up as if his family did not already complete our due diligence and make the final arrangements. My step-father was picked up from his assisted living facility and taken away like he was trash and an inconvenience. I had to call around looking for him in the time when we should be able to grieve our loss. Instead, I was forced to contact another company that I didn't even know existed and complete some documents to have him released to the provider we originally selected. No apology was offered. No sorry for your loss. Only call I received was for the family to be blamed for everything. Their staff acted as if our family was not proactive and caring enough to make the final arrangements in a timely manner. I highly recommend to find another hospice provider.
