Me and my husband both came for bloodwork here and other general test. I went first, booked my appointment online, check in on the link they sent to my phone and once inside I waited for about 5mins. Everything was done professionally, in and out in about 30mins (had to do many test that required me waiting for intervals.) The staff was friendly and professional. One week later we returned with my husband, bloodwork reasons. Again booked appointment online and checking in was fast and easy through the phone. My husband past out while getting his blood drawn, he was yellow not responsive and it was handled very professionally by the staff, I wish I would have asked for their names, but all the ladies in the clinic helped and reassured us! Lovely staff and thank you for everything!

I fasted all day, signed in using the kiosk, sat in a totally empty waiting room for fifteen minutes, and was told that they are not taking any walk-ins. Then while writing this review the nurse basically told me go go. This is awful.

In the lobby, there is tv which has the funny HGTV home improvement show to watch while we are waiting.

We did not make appointments. Let's see how long it gonna take... We walked in at 7:00. At 7:06, we were at the counter to jot our names down. At 7:20, the lady called us for paperwork and collected our driver's licences. At 7:45, they called us in for blood drawing. I noticed a huge improvement-- the nurse who drew the blood came out and called us in. This is a great time saving Lean Six Sigma like improvement. Previously, the office manager called you in to wait outside of the actual lab. That waiting chair is no longer there. When you are called, you go sit on the chair inside the lab. Love it! At 7:57, our routine lab is done. Not bad for a no appointment visit. Love the improvement. That means Quest cares.

She was respectful of my needs of getting my blood drawn from my hand and with a butterfly needle and she honored my wishes graciously and without hesitation, which hasn't always been my experience. I was so happy to get in and out in minutes. There was no wait and that baffled me. When I asked, it made sense it is a completely private lab, so, so insurance but they claim to be affordable. It was the first time I had heard of them, and drove to the facility after my appointment for a walk-in visit. It's a clean facility that wasn't as busy as some of the other labs in the area that can have very long wait times. The front desk receptionist was very nice, and gave me the paperwork to fill out. I showed her my doctor's order and she went over the pricing with me. Because my Dr. ordered a CBC, CMP, TSH, and Lipid panel, I paid for the annual package that had all of those (with Hemoglobin A1C thrown in) for $129. The annual checkup panel is cheaper than paying for each test separately, and definitely beats the prices of other competing labs in the area. Even as a walk-in, I didn't have to wait long and before I knew it, it was my turn. What really blew me away is that this was one of the smoothest blood draws I have EVER had. I don't know how she did it, but the girl who drew my blood was so swift and skilled that I hardly felt the needle. I had my head turned and was busy chatting with another patient who was leaving, and I found myself laughing and enjoying the conversation when normally I'm quiet and tense during the blood draw. I was bandaged up and on my way out the door in no time, still in conversation with the other patient as though I never had the needle stick. I have since had labs drawn elsewhere due to pricing for specific labs I needed, and I seriously wish all my blood draws were this painless.

Instead, we were informed by the office manager that the appointment had never been confirmed on their end and that my father was being discharged from the practice due to an alleged no-show on 6/9 and rescheduled appointments on 6/26 and 6/30. To clarify: - My father never had an appointment on 6/9. Neither he nor I scheduled one, nor were we ever informed of one. - On 5/30, he was hospitalized at AdventHealth East Orlando and was later transferred to PAM Rehab Hospital in Winter Garden, where he remained through 6/13. He was physically unable to attend, or even be aware of any appointment during that time. - It turns out the 6/9 appointment was made by AdventHealth during his hospital stay without our knowledge or consent. - I called the office on 6/26 and 6/30 to reschedule due to my father's recent hemorrhagic stroke, which has left him with significant daily challenges. At no point was I told of a rescheduling or cancellation policy, nor was I warned that his status as a patient was at risk. I was simply given a new appointment for 7/2. To then arrive and be told that his appointment was unconfirmed and that he had been discharged, with no prior notice was shocking and deeply frustrating. The communication breakdown was unacceptable. I strongly advise against seeking care from this office, especially if you or your loved one is living with a disability. Managing a disability is hard enough without the added stress of poor communication, indifference, and a lack of compassion from a healthcare provider and their staff.

They are not there to give you an earnest diagnosis, they want to get you in and out the door as quickly as possible to cash in on your insurance. My brother in law went in with severe abdominal pain, extremely high blood pressure and heart-rate, a fever and several other conditions that were obviously severe in nature. They sent him home within a few minutes of looking at him despite the severity of his symptoms. Within 24 hours, he was dead. The hospital was shocked and confused as to how appropriate medical attention was not taken a day earlier. Keep in mind he was very young (40) and in good shape-- it was determined he had experienced organ failure over several days which ultimately killer him. How a "urgent care" could be so shockingly obtuse is more than incompetence or negligent. It's genuinely evil. I will be telling everyone far and wide to avoid this location at all costs, if they had done their job he would still be alive. Horrifying.

When he was discharged, he was given a prescription antacid and recommendation to see a Cardiologist. He worsened overnight. In the morning, he was convinced to get to a proper Emergency/Trama Center. When his mother and I arrived at the ER, the attending Doctor explained that he was exhibiting signs of Sepsis. As they began the process to confirm with lab work, his heart stopped and the ER staff were unable to resuscitate him. MiniER's web page contains the statement, "The miniER in Waterford Lakes is not your typical urgent care." This seems ironically accurate to me. I believe that most typical medical providers would have immediately recognized the seriousness of our son's situation and called for an ambulance. Instead, he was treated for an upset stomach and released. It is an insult that this webpage requires at least ONE STAR rating!

SimonMed submitted Claim #51406286Z650H billing BCBSIL HCA U325 $1,002.00 for the CT Scan. The claim was processed on 5/20/2025. BCBS paid $771.31 of the $1,002.00 and said I owe the remaining $230.69. On the day of the appointment the office charged me $406.29 for copayment. I paid by credit card. Based on the claim paperwork I was due a refund of $175.60. I sent and email to SimonMed billing department to inquiry about the refund. They returned my call and told me I was only going to received a $163.77 refund. The remaining $11.83 was for a security deposit on the credit card charge. The SimonMed office staff failed to disclose the security deposit charge upfront. SimonMed's process for handling copayments and credit charges are unethical. I was charge a 40% copayment on $1,002.00! The procedure should be pre-priced and there is no reason a patient with insurance should pay that much in advance. They act like they have never charged BCBS. Charging a customer $11.83 ("security deposit") on a $406.29 charge is robbery! What is SimonMed charging a security deposit on credit card charges when such large percentage of copayment is being collected? The large copayment is essential a security deposit! I can't image how low income customers are being treated! SimonMed just lost a customer! BTW. The CT Scan staff was wonderful! There was no problem with the actual imaging process. There was also no long wait to be scanned.
