We scheduled an appointment for a pre surgical test at Quest. Unfortunately, there is no one to speak with there until you reach an exam room. No one to call to question about availability of the test or ANY question that you might have. No one to ask on the phone. Not even an AI bot on line. I drove an hour to get a simple test required for a knee operation. After arriving at the Mokena location, I found no one in the reception area to ask either. So I waited to get called after electronically signing in. Get called back and they inform me "they don't do this test here" by a tech. Quest sucks for customer service. It was 3:00 p.m and I went to Quest in Mokena for lab work required by a new job. There was a clean, bright, and spacious lobby, with plenty of seats. No one was at the front desk to greet me. Instead, there was a sign indicating to use the free standing kiosk. It was a touch pad, which asked if you had an appointment or if you were a walk-in. Upon answering. It asked if you had any paperwork, which I did. It then asked me to scan the bar code of my paperwork. Once I finished scanning, my name appeared on the screen, and it directed me to please be seated. As I sat, I looked at the wall-mounted television in the lobby that streamed informational videos and tidbits on awareness of your health and preventative measures. In the upper right corner of the television, streamed each customers initials in the order you arrived, as well as the number of minutes before you would likely be waited on. With only 2 patients already in the lab rooms, and only 2 patients in the lobby, I was expected to get serviced in 6 minutes! And, the television's guesstimation was fairly right... My name was called after waiting only 5 minutes!!! The lab technician was friendly and thoroughly explained all procedures. And, it was a truly quick and harmless sampling. I love this place bc of A.) It's efficiency B.) The best of inoculators and C.) The courteous and professional people that work there. I used to go there as a walk-in (pre CoVid) when I had a Dr's order for blood work to be done and they would always seemingly squeeze me in somewhere in there already busy schedules, so I'd be in and out fairly quickly! I think, however, they have changed their scheduling method to online appt's. Let me tell you, I did this ahead of time and got in promptly at my pre-scheduled time. Their website was easy to maneuver through to put in the appt too. Make sure you bring a copy of the Dr's order with the account number from the Dr on it, just in case! They are extremely busy, and there are a LOT of ppl flowing thru this facility so naturally things can slip thru the cracks...They are wonderful with children and adults. Their sticks are E Z P Z! just know if your waiting as walk in there is 3-4 of them behind the glass talking and laughing doing nothing very easy to hear it too as a nice lady asked why i'm still here as she was leaving and told me that, and then i'm told to leave and wait till my time. makes a lot of sense, i see why there is bad reviews. read more

When you need to get lab work done, Quest is the best place to go. Silver Cross used to be great, but they've become a hot mess for simple procedures (pretty sure they're understaffed and overworked). Quest had a simple check in process you can do on your phone and their staff knows how to stick you when getting blood work done. ****This review is only regarding a horrible employee I don't feel Quest is a bad place always had a positive experience*****I'm still in aw over what transpired this morning at quest. I strongly feel quest is employing a mentally unstable worker that likely needs to undergo some anger management classes. I arrived at 6am for some routine lab work. I forgot my mask and entered with a towel held closely covering my mouth and nose and here is when things went from 0 to 10 in less than a minute. The only phlebotomist in the building was so aggressive and rude I'm having trouble even understanding what provoked her. I needed a mask and for some reason this sent her into a rage. I wasn't refusing a mask I just needed one. Long story short when I finally was allowed back guess what happened??! Oh look at that no order was found!! When I exited I was talking with another patient who witnessed what happened and he said "the women in horrible and clearly hates her job, I come here frequently and watch her abuse patients and I hate coming here because she is always so rude" Quest, you need to do something about her. She shouldn't have a job working with the public. She is angry and clearly needing some help. read more

My brother who has a grave condition went in to get bold work today. They did not have the doctors orders. I understand that sometimes these get lost or never sent. Got a hold of the doctor the nurse said she resent via fax and their regular order method. In order to avoid having to wait for the tests my brother left and was waiting for a call to go back and get his tests done. I tried calling several times to confirm before getting him in the car and bringing him back. There is no way to talk to a live person, the automated system will not connect you to anyone. VERY frustrating! So I guess well just have to go back in person to see if maybe they received the orders... What ever happened to personal customer service? read more

In and out in 25 minutes and the woman I had was pretty nice but the fact that you walk in and there's no front desk, just a tiny touch screen you use to sign in and the blacked out door separating you from the workers, is disturbingly cold. It is impersonal and makes you feel like a number, not a patient. Each and every person I saw come in, seemed confused that there was no front desk and uncomfortable after signing in on the pad, looking around at everyone to share the disbelief. I DO NOT recommend this location to elderly people or anyone who does not know how to/can't work a tablet (or really anyone that may need assistance in any form), because the only way you're going to be able to speak with someone is if you bang on the blacked out door. It would also seem that the phlebotomists took over for clerical duties since there was no front desk but desks and phones in each of the "exam" rooms that would go off during your appointment. Quest should reevaluate their methods, but thank you to the woman who drew my blood, you were very kind, gentle, and efficient. read more

Who likes getting their blood drawn? Actually it's kind of cool to watch. I only go to Quest! This was my first time here but was greeted by Avon, who was a blast to hang out with while I was there. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and she made it quick and as painless as possible. The best part was the band aid. I went to rip it off and it didn't hurt at all! If you map it on your iPhone, they tell you that you're there while still on LaGrange but it's in the plaza to your right next to a salon. read more

I then drove 12 miles, only to encounter a locked door and a small sign that told me the lab was now closed 1 1/2 hours earlier than several months ago. read more

I wish I could give this location no stars. I took my 6yr old daughter to get blood drawn for the first time in her life and clearly she was scared. I saw Ladonna who had absolutely no compassion or empathy towards my crying daughter. Didn't say a word to us upon entering the room and throughout the appt. Didn't even talk my clearly fearful daughter through it or explain what she was doing. Just stuck the needle in and then proceeded to have attitude with another worker who walked in to ask a question. Then she asked me to confirm my daughters spelling of her name on the test tubes and I corrected her that she was missing a letter. She went off on me how I confirmed on the computer prior-to that everything was correct but it was HER error on the test tubes. I imagine that is why she talked to me like garbage. Very unprofessional. Mind you, I was pleasant to her the entire time while she exuded attitude and absolute rudeness . I wish Quest could monitor staff a bit more as we are the paying customer and she is providing the service. If you don't like the industry you're working in, time to change it up. As a 35yr health care professional career myself, I recognize professionalism and customer service. On 10/13 I went to have approximately 30 tests done. I am a difficult stick( tiny veins) & require butterfly needles. Ladonna came in( I had to ask for her name), briskly with no greeting or intro & began barking commands. What's yr address? Insurance? Etc. No problem. She bought out a large boar needle & when I told her butterflies are needed, she appeared angry and told me she was a professional w 19yrs experience. I assured her this was not an indictment of her career but a statement of known facts concerning my veins. But after refusing to even look at a great vein because I suggested it, she huffed out of the room & told another tech I was being difficult! This lie was enough. I had another tech draw me. 1st stick in the great vein w a butterfly. Ladonna was rude, unprofessional & needs to learn that the patient is the priority. Shameful! read more

I never have a problem with the Phlebotomists. My complaint is that I have no co-pay with my insurance & I keep getting harassed to put my credit card on file to cover the balance. Their estimated balance is usually much higher than my bill once my insurance runs the claim. I tell them no thanks I'll pay my bill once my insurance runs it. They keep telling me it's their policy. I'll be looking for another facility the next time I need blood work done. It's very frustrating to have to deal with this every time read more

Terrible... Always a wait, even to just drop off a specimen. It seems like I always have a problem with them and ins when I go to this location. One of their phlebotomist is terrible on pediatric draws, then she will literally fish for a vein while needle is under skin. Way to go that makes kids even more fearful. read more

Worst place ever. I made an appointment a week in advance because I hate doing this and arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early. I waited with 2 other people for about 20 minutes never even seeing anyone that works there. While I waited I lady saw someone and the lady said just sign in but it will be a while because the computers are down. I waited another 10 minutes and then tried to look for someone to talk to I saw people but they looked down when they saw me and quickly scurried into a room and closed the door. Finally I tried calling to see if someone would answer the phone so I could ask how long or reschedule. A lady came out and said that she was just Coming back from lunch and that they had a sick child and don't have to announce that and that if they have a sick child they will attend to the sick child and she walked away. I said I'm out of here and she said ok. Now I don't mind waiting and I understand things happen but so rude. read more
