Today I had stupendous customer service by this youngman call MARK (phlebotomist ) at this location on Rinaldi as I was driving by and decided to try my luck as a walk in patient, ( Standby list ) so I'm glad I did because ( I killed two birds with one stone ) Mark was very pleasant & sociable young man, I wish him the best on his schooling and future endeavors as he looks a very intelligent and sharp young man besides he is very multitasked young man. Because I had two blood work orders, one I sent by email to Quest and the other one we couldn't be find in their system even though my provider's office stated that they will see it and it would be in the Quest system but unfortunately couldn't be found. Therefore Mark nice enough gave me a peace of mind, volunteering to help me to schedule an appointment for this week ( fasting) but he also helped to scheduled one for my elderly mother as I told him she has an upcoming appointment and needs blood drawn. So I walked out smiling and happy with this stupendous service by Mark that I'm more than sure he definitely will be a keeper in any company or industry he decided to continue in his business path if life. I came straight from my doctor's appt which was in the same building. I was a walk in and wait time was right away as I came end of day and no one else was waiting before me. You checkin on the tablet, super easy process. I had a younger guy do my blood work, I told him I don't like needles or the sight of blood. He made me comfortable and did a smaller needle on me so it wouldn't hurt as much. He was great, didn't catch his name but was friendly and professional, got my blood drawn quickly and on my way I went. read more

Best experience and blood draw that I have had in some years! If you schedule online and use mobile check-in, all you do is take a seat and wait for your name to be called. I waited less than 10 minutes to be called back. Anna Laurie was my phlebotomist. She was perfect! From start to finish. Her technique was amazing. (I used to teach medical assisting ) and worked in the field for over 20 years. Trust me when I say, she was perfect, and I had 5 tubes taken. The facility is spotless, even the bathroom. i am beyond disappointed with my experience here. I had never experienced such a horrible service in my life. I went there to simply drop off a vile that was it. I ended up waiting 3 HOURS, and get this? WE STILL DIDNT GET SERVICE! apparently you have to wait for "sign off". They have NO AC whatsoever in this heat wave, its so cramped in there with nowhere to move at all. I am beyond livid and hope they close if they do not fix their problems because you would think with all these bad reviews they would be on their game now but i guess not. Expect to wait 2+ hours if you don't have an appointment. There's no board to show you where you are in line, you can't put in AirPods because you have to wait to hear your name. If they call it once and you don't come immediately, you'll have to resubmit your name on the small electronic kiosk. Seating is cramped. You can't move your leg even a little bit or you risk bumping into the person to your right or left. read more

The phlebotomists here are extremely rude and unprofessional. I walked in and one of the workers began to yell at me "I have already came out here multiple times and told you!..." I had just walked in for the first time and have never seen or interacted with this woman prior to this. I'm not sure if she was confusing me with someone else but either way it was disrespectful! I will not tolerate being yelled at by a stranger after just walking in for the very first time. You will not project your nonsense on to me. If you are unhappy in your career, consider switching careers paths. The phlebotomist who took my blood was screaming at the male patient prior to me as she was escorting him out of the suite. I absolutely hate getting my blood drawn and have had several not so great experiences. My veins are small, they roll around, and one time my blood was too thick to come out and I was sent away to come back later In the day. I've learned my lesson and always hydrate the day before, but I still get anxious and take medication before I go. It helps a little, but not completely. This is the second time I've been to this location. I am completely upfront with the phlebotomist. Telling them about all of my past experiences. I have had 2 wonderful experiences now. I wish I learned the lady's name last year. Claudio was amazing yesterday. He listened to my experiences and told me the plan before he even searched for a vein. He was very professional and had great bedside manner. I have to say it was one of the least painful experiences. No fumbling, missing or trying another arm. I was impressed. Some slight bruising the next day, but I bruise easily and it usually is much worse. Thank you Claudio! read more

Worse quest i've been to not only did the lady come out and tell me that I couldn't put my information because I didn't have an appointment. She also said she wasn't gonna take me in because she was the only one there and all her colleagues had called., and they close at 4:30. I got there at 3:15. There was literally no one in the lobby and still said that she had appointments back to back I waited 25 mins after she said that know one ever came . Worst experience I have ever had at a 14901 Rinaldi St Ste 314, Mission Hills, CA Quest location. I checked in, waited about an hour. I noticed everyone was being called and I was not. There's no one there at a front desk. I waited until someone opened the door. I asked one of the workers if I was on this list. She told me to hold on but never came back to notify me. I then decided to check the checkin machine to see if I checked in correctly. The machine asked for a copy/scan of my ID and medical insurance and I complied. I never checked in again! Another person opened the door so I asked her (Rahgein or however it's spelled) she rudely said, why did you check in again, now you're at the end of the list! I tried to explained to her that I did not check in again but she spoke over me and didn't let me finish talking. (The machine asked for my credentials)I I ended up leaving because I'm sure I'd be waiting another hour or treated worse. She was extremely rude! Horrible way to treat a customer. I also want to add, an Asian lady was also extremely rude to an elderly woman who simply had a question. She was loud and left the elderly woman speaking by herself. Didn't assist her. Kindness goes a long way. People are here for medical reasons and already feeling sick only to be treated so horribly. Sad and extremely poor customer service!! Zero respect! No stars!! read more

Horrible experience I was told by my MD walk ins are welcome and even the sign on the door say it. But once your there priority goes to only the ppl with appointments. They attended anyone from the stand by list. And after 2 hours I asked if they are gonna call anyone from the stand by list I received attitude that they prioritize appoints. Unless you have absolutely nothing else to do for the day, and you need free air conditioning, an appointment is a must. You will sit forever, and the phlebotomists are extremely rude. Quest has done away with actual front office staff, so if you are elderly, or physically/mentally impaired, the kiosk is your enemy. I had an appointment at 11 am this morning when i arrived my appointment has been changed to 1130 am. It's 1145 and I'm still waiting to be called. Also the employees are very rude. There are disabled people in wheelchairs they were here before me. I got here 1030 am. Everyone that reads this think about going somewhere else. The medical system in this country never fails to disappoint. After finding the quest lab door, you were greeted by a screen and have to check yourself in. I'm fairly young and was able to figure it out and then I had to help other patients in the waiting room figure it out so they can actually get on the standby list. When I got called back, I asked Annelode if they do EKGs and showed her my 2 orders (EKG, Blood, Urine) she says yes everything in the order we do. So tell me why after I get my blood done and she hands me a cup to pee in I asked her about when we do the EKG and she says we don't do that here we are a lab. So either she didn't read my actual order when I showed it to her or she lied to me. Either way I'm gonna need you guys to hire people that know how to work with people. This is ridiculous. This is not a patient friendly location. Please feel free to audit this location :) read more

A great place to come do your blood work but I'll probably won't come back to this location. I usually go to the Sherman Oaks location but this one is closer to my house so I wanted to try here. I made my appointment a week in advance so all I had to do when I got there was scan the QR code then scan my driver license and medical card. It's all done through a kiosk so FYI. Also parking is not free, it's a buck per 30 minutes. They are also doing road construction there as well so that's why I'll go to the Sherman Oaks location since parking is free and easier to get in/out. The nurse who took my blood was nice and the process didn't hurt. Even with my appointment I had to wait like 30 minutes for my turn to go see the nurse. read more

Very disappointed with the service here. This review is long overdue. It was maybe a year ago when I came with my sick baby to get a stat blood draw... one of the workers that didn't even greet us came up to us and said "you need a mask" I kindly asked for one and she said "no we don't provide masks".. I literally saw someone else provide a mask for someone. The worker ignored every word I said and would not help us. I walked out and went across the hall and asked that business for a mask and she gave it to me.. she also told me that all of the businesses in the building are provided with masks for the customers. Coming in with a sick baby is stressful enough. The workers adding more stress was an over kill. I will never use this quest location again read more

Quest is a major clusterfu*k and the Mission Hills location is no exception. There's no receptionist and people have trouble with the check-in kiosks. I went there today to drop off specimens and was told that I had to check-in as a "walk-in" and would be called after they took people with reservations. I received the kit from my doctor and no one told me I need a reservation. I checked in (confirmed at the kiosk) and after waiting forty minutes (longer than the specimens could remain unrefrigerated) a tech told me that I wasn't on the check-in list. By then there were about thirty people in the small waiting room, some coughing and obviously ill. Now I have to start over and hope my doctor has an alternative. read more

I had another wonderful experience today bringing in my grandmother for some basic doctor's orders. We arrived earlier than her appointment to avoid the risk of her blood sugar levels decreasing too low, and they took her in promptly without us having to even ask. It might have also helped that it was a holiday today so there wasn't much of a rush assuming people were out of town or at ceremonies honoring the veterans. We were in an out in less than 15 minutes. Really awesome. It also helped that I made the appointment for her online and already entered her insurance information, so they didn't ask for any additional information besides the orders. read more

If I could rate this place half a star I would. Took a family member of mine for a blood test requested by the doctor. The doctor's office told us to go in and they should take us in quickly. So we walked in and enrolled for a standby appointment; we slowly realized that they wouldn't call ANYBODY from the standby line at all. We waited for approximately 1hr 30 min-2 hours to get called, but they would only take in regular appointments despite there being a "Walk-ins welcome" sign. The system warned us that we might have to wait which was fine, but after a while I came to the conclusion that they were never going to call us. The more people that came in for their scheduled appointments the chance of getting called in as a standby waitlist/appointment drastically go down. Don't fall for waiting in the standby line unless you have all day to wait around, also if they're knowingly not going to use the standby line, I don't know why this is an option. They also don't offer any appointment times at this location for another day if you select blood test/"other test" on their appointment website even though people walked out with bandages from bloodwork? Plus, there's no front desk staff or any staff to help you with appointment questions or concerns, there's just two iPads there to help so if you need assistance you'll probably have to ask a patient nearby. They also won't give you an estimated wait time if you utilize the standby line? So you're left guessing if they'll call you in or not; your name appears on the waiting list on the TV screen in the waiting room, but no time estimate is given there so you might be waiting there all day without even knowing it. A patient was there to pick up a test and they made him wait in standby along with the rest of us (same long wait time); he stopped the phlebotomist to tell her that he was just there to pick something up and the phlebotomist said too bad, there's a standby waitlist and we might not even take you in today. She was incredibly rude and didn't give care then waved him off. Please get an appointment before arriving here because the wait for standby was insane and the workers there don't really care how long you wait. They'll keep you there all day without knowing if you'll be able to go in and get your testing done, and act like it's your fault that you decided to wait it out unfortunately. We made an appointment at the Tarzana Quest office on Burbank Blvd the same day and they were awesome. Even when the bloodwork order was having trouble getting processed they helped us out and got my family member the bloodwork they needed done. They even stayed a little past closing to help us out since we were the last appointment of the day which they really didn't need to do, but helped us anyways. They wholeheartedly cared and wanted to get us the help we needed which was such a blessing. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is Gail, and for some reason she's not drawing blood any more. Very professional and very good at what she does. When she's acting as a receptionist things go better in the reception area but she was the best phlebotomist they had. Other than that this location is God awful. Rude staff, not well kept. Overbooked, long wait, staff yelling at customers and each other. I'd use Labcorp but my insurance doesn't cover it as well. I only use this office when I'm locationally forced to. read more

I just had my blood drawn there & it was a complicated order from my doctor cause I had to be drawn 5mins after standing then 5mins after laying supine & to top it off im a hard stick cause I require a butterfly needle but the lady was very nice & professional & sympathetic to my situation. I only was there cause my Dr's hospital refused to draw me cause my anxiety prevents me from wearing a mask & Cedars-Sinai for some unknown reason is still forcing patients to wear them. I am so thankful I was able to get my labs drawn here cause my doctor is ruling out a serious possibility of a tumor so its important, thank you all for being there, you're awesome! Lab Quest is not the place to be. Choose LabCorp or UniLab every time. I have never heard anything positive and I work in the medical field. They don't even have a receptionist. I have cancer and my doctor sent me to Quest for Lab work. The first employee I encountered at Quest was Liza. She was very rude and told me I would have to reschedule my appointment because I was 10 minutes late! I told her the reason I was late was because their door was locked. She didn't care. In fact she seemed to enjoy being rude and throwing her weight around. So I left Quest diagnostics without having my blood drawn. Then when I got home I received a phone call from a very nice Quest employee named Linda. Linda overheard what had happened and told me to come back and she would personally draw my blood. So as far as ratings go I would give 5 stars to Linda and unfortunately I would have to give 0 stars to Liza, bringing the Quest average down to 2.5 stars. read more

My doctor only offers blood work from 8-10 am and I am teacher so they said I could go to quest if I couldn't come in. They close at 4:30 so it would give me time to go. Well, apparently they did not run all the tests needed and my doctor asked me to go again. That is truly disappointing because the doctors orders on the sheet were clear about what he was requesting. I hate needles and almost faint or faint every time I have blood work done. Now I have to go waste my time and go through the rough process of getting a needle inserted.
